FXP129 neo v battery life issues - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi,
This is my first venture in the custom ROM territory. I have installed FXP129 (CM 9.0) image onto my neo v. Everything is working fine except the idle state battery life. I went to sleep with 49% battery and when I woke up it was 22% !! Apparently no one else is experiencing this issue as after searching I could only find people reporting issues with auto brightness and HDMI. I read somewhere that night elf kernel is free of the battery issue and is available for FXP. But that kernel gets stuck at free xperia logo. Is there something I can do so that I get good battery life with the FXP kernel itself, or do I need to install some other kernel ?
Baseband version - 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-72
Previously I was using the latest sony ericsson update of android 4.0.4.
Thanks for your time.

Install better battery stats and CPU spy. In bbs see which app is consuming how much battery and in CPU spy check the % of battery in deep sleep.

[A] battery drainers answer to longer standby time

well, I think I have an answer for u20i x10 mini pro that if we put gingerbread version the battery drains really fast...
last 20 hours, I worked with flashtool 0.2.9.1
I installed xrecovery version (freeXperia X8)with it then I optimized it.
reboot it, the install new fresh ROM. then see the differences.
maybe theres two possible answer:
1. the recovery is better than xrecovery that put by D4rKn3sSyS(I don't know yet).
or
2. the phone yet optimized.
success for all
changelogs :
- phone is really fast, no lags, no process running
- 15 hours battery remains 50%(way better)
- standy time not drains battery
- my battery isn't original, 2nd quality(I think the original is way more longer)

ICS problem, please HELP

Hey, I was using the latest CM9 nightly and even used the Bluepill version but my battery on standby is like 31% drained in 6 hrs, in CM7 it drained only 5% in 6 hrs, I want to know that is it normal for CM9 on our device ? or should I do calibration or something ? Will I get better battery with RC2 Prefinal by hehappy ?

There are battery related problems reported for the cm9 nightly build. I also faced it. on my p500, its not consistent. One day it drains much and the other day its fine.

What does BetterBatteryStats say?
> I think your problem isnt normal. Im on ics and it doesnt drains like that on standby.. but dont compare ics with gb. Yes ics drains battery faster. But it is worth it. .on gb. 8hrs standby drains me 2% while on ics it drains about 6%.

Battery Drain Problem in Purness Build

Hi,
I had installed the Pureness build for my Neo v device, and I started noticing the battery drain too fast , even in standby mode ?
Has it got any connection with Overclocking ?
I really liked the ROM but the battery drain problem has forced me to revert back to KA 20.1 which I had earlier.
can anybody help me out here ?
Thanks
Krishna

Thanks elf . for teh reply
A correction - I had used "No-frills" Cpu control to actually under-clock by using the default settings. and since then I get a feeling that the battery drains faster than it was earlier.
In another thread, I found that the baseband version that are higher would lead to higher battery drains.
Now, evn after I had reverted back to KA 20.1 , the battery drain has improved but still I can see it draining faster.
Is there a way I can get around this issue? some app? or how would i get back to a lower baseband version. ..
Help much appreciated.
Thanks
