Check out HTC Sensation theme and app thread. Google now will work on RAZR ics .211. With exception of voice search. But its a start and looks awesome can't wait until its fully functional.

With the minor issue of non-working voice commands/recognition.. For now that is
Might be a dumb question since I'm new at this but can just install the apk for google now that was posted on the other thread and install it on my stock razr or do i need to root it first?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
I just tried to install it but it didn't work. Do i need to be rooted?
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
You need to be rooted, but Google just releases android 4.1 source, so a Jelly Bean build is in the works I'm sure. I would just be patient, it'll come soon enough

Yeah but we saw how long it took to get ICS ready for the razr. I doubt we get it before Christmas. You think with Google buying Motorola they would be the first to get anything after the nexus line of phones

It's an upgrade for GingerBread not for ICS. If you're already with ICS, of course, you'll not see any update. The message however will come to everyone. At least, we have our warranty back! Cheers
Finally! Now just wait for the update to JB

I'll get One X+ soon as it comes out later this month.
We need more reports to confirm our update. Did you get the update message?
Edit just read ur report. Thx
Cheers

I was ironic about the update JB. The history of Motorola does not allow us to dream. I received notification of ICS but it was with the last rom. I am thinking seriously about buying a HTC next year. A pity that only meet the Mercado Livre in Brazil.

EDIT 2: JB is out.
EDIT: apparently this update isn't jelly bean, but a major update nonetheless. It appears to be uninstallable, so don't be surprised.

While to my limited knowledge, that is too small to be JB, that is still a great size.
I look forward to seeing what is in it.
Yeah, it can't be JB size-wise. I wonder why it is so big though.
I updated my roommate's s3 to jb last night. Wish I paid attention to the size when I did it.

The Korean JB leak was over 1GB..
Nexus is De bloated. Our JB would probably be larger than 300 gb considering all the bloat that will come with it.

Yep. The nexus roms and CM roms are slimmed as much as possible. They are the base roms with no Gapps, no LG stuff.
well, i bought the phone in ATT in USA
and bring to Brazil....
since that i always receive an authentication error
when i search OTA's...i never got any OTA
so, some tip to solve that???
A majority of us live in the states, considering this is a AT&T thread.. Not sure how we're supposed to help you when you took your phone to a different country. Hopefully there's someone though. Good luck!

I would be very interested in seeing their battery stats after this "improvement" to see where AndroidOS is. It would be nice if someone could solve that riddle, wrapped in an enigma and covered with a heaping portion of mystery.

No, I think he was trying to say it isn't anything we should worry about because whatever their update was, we already got it earlier...and we see no Android os improvements.

It says some small fixes, but specifically mentions battery improvements. I figure any increase can't hurt.

I'm in Canada with Bell and received the Kit Kat update on my G2 yesterday. Knock Code is not included (at least not under settings where it should be - Security or Accessibility). Regardless, Kit Kat makes the phone more response and Knock On works much better.
