Slim Extended Battery? - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Hey guys I remember on my OG Inc I bought a slim extended battery that had a bit more power but still fit the original back. Anyone know if they will be making any for the Inc 4G? Oh and what are the metal contacts on the back of the battery door for? Thanks.

I have no idea about a slim extended battery for the Inc4G. My guess would be no, since there's already a fatty available.
The metal contacts on the battery door are for NFC (Android Beam, Google Wallet, other mobile payments...).

1930 mAh slim
Voila!

Nice find! I'll have to pick it up and let you guys know how it works.

What's the deal with finding regular slim batteries for the incredible 4g? Every time I do a search on Amazon and thru Google it comes up with batteries for the evo4g. Are these batteries swappable? Just looking to get an extra slim battery and Verizon doesn't seem to sell them, only the extended batteries. Hard to believe none of the batteries on Amazon will fit but none specifically list the dinc4g, only say incredible.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2

If the 1930 mAh fits that'll be a nice bump up from the stock 1700 mAh, but I'd personally rather use a stock battery from HTC that fits into our phone, there has to be one out there that fits our phone that's from HTC, hopefully someone finds one some day.
but def let us know how this one works, the price isn't bad and with that extra charger would be worth the purchase as long as it doesn't provide any more heat than the stock battery.

Just found this out today and didn't see it posted anywhere. I grabbed my friend at work and compared the batteries between the incredible 2 and 4g. They are both the same size, fit and work in either phone. Only difference is the incredible 2 is a 1450. I know it's no 1900 but for those of you that upgraded from Inc 2 and still have it, you have an extra battery

2) but also for us because like jamminjon82 asked, we should be able to use any battery slim extended that works for the inc2. hopefully we can find an htc one that fits and is bigger than ours and still worth the money

when i first got my 4g i took the sdcard out of the inc2 to put in the 4g, mistakenly i switched batteries without knowing, the phonr worked fine, but when i went to charge it it wouldn't charge, took me awhile to figure it out, then i realized i switched batteries, don't know if this means anything in this case, but i'd check it out.

{¡Q!} ¿any other extended batteries yet?

I want an extended battery but don't want just a mere 2750(especially for the price they are asking). I had a 4500 on my thunderbolt and would like something around there or better.
has anyone found anything like that yet?
I also do not want a huge extended so I am waiting in hopes of a smaller one.

errr... no, i want a 'HUGE' one. i don't care if it doubles the physical size of the phone or not, just as long as it gives a sh** load of power so i'd be able to play games or watch movies all day. wee!
I don't want a different battery, I would just like to see slightly better life from this one. That being said, I haven't seen anything besides the 2750 either.

Through the end of the month according to my store. Sad though that they had no accessories on display for the rezound. They had to get them from the back
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
ok so half off till the end of the month. cool.
oh and as far as.accessories on display, my local verizon only has iphone accessories out. everything else in the back.
I can also confirm that Verizon corporate stores should have this deal through December. When I went yesterday, one guy looked it up and said that the deal was no longer valid. As I was about to leave another employee suggested that the first "just scan it and see what happens". I got the deal. Apparently their system erroneously reports the deal as invalid, but it is valid...until Dec. 31st. So make sure you ask them to scan it!

Extended Batteries On Sale (GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN!)

I happened to walk into Verizon today and got the OEM extended batter for $32 after taxes! I was taking my girlfriend to look at phones again and asked the rep if they had any in, he said yes, as a matter of fact we have a special going right now for them! Couldn't pass it up!
And, FYI I hate extended batteries, but this phone is a monster and we all know it needs the power! I am very pleased! I would suggest everyone try if they don't already have one!
Yep, I picked one up today also. They're 50% off.
Sent from my A100 using Tapatalk
They actually argued with me today. Told the guy to scan it and see, and then he's like, oh I guess they are on sale. Swear sometimes that verizon didn't want my money...
Sent from my Rezound using Tapatalk
I had no idea they were on sale, the rep handed it off to another rep and after my Military discount told me a different price. I told him the first dude said it was $29, he went to check and sure enough. Good thing the first guy mentioned it, otherwise I would probably have paid full price.

I picked it up earlier around 2pm I put it in the phone to drain it(45% upon installing), and even with 4G outtage and LTE antenna on I am still at 12%... lol. It is now 11:11.
Edit: Another thing I like, the antenna contacts are metal rather than that paper like crap in the stock back. Also, this battery doesn't seem to get as hot.
Great news. I'll have to buy online now. Thanks

I would think this goes in the accessories sub forum. Just saying. And I got my battery around $30 when I picked up my phone on Nov 18. Definitely gives the phone a more solid feel. They sell cases that fit with the extended battery. And a holster also.
This wasn't an accessory discussion, this was a heads up to folks that they are on sale if they hadn't already known. Notice the broad general discussion? Weren't you threatening to block me? lol, get out of my thread troll.

I had the same issue! And it gets worse, after about 2 weeks it will make your phone act all weird, random restarts, gps not working, really bad stuff. Took it out and put the old one back in and had no issues.

QCell 1950mAh extended battery

Was browsing around on Amazon and saw a new battery for the i777, claims to work with the default battery door. No mention of NFC capabilities so if you're looking for that I don't think this is your answer. However, I'm tempted to order one just to see how it plays with the phone and if it truly does work with the default battery door.

I'm skeptical as well for it only being $9.
I understand that but seeing as how the GTMax battery was only 13 for the extended (and it works perfectly), it wouldn't be too surprising to see this one perform decently as well. I have enough funds to sacrifice $9, so it may be a worthwhile investment if it does work as it should.
Update: Took the plunge and ordered, will definitely let you know how it works out if it does at all.
Hope it works out. if it does I may scoop one up for myself
If it works well I'll be ordering like 2 more and a separate battery charger.

depating on purchasing a Rezound

I'm thinking of purchasing a Rezound on Ebay, I currently have a droid Inc2. However, I would like to get the Rezound because its 4g and s-off. I can get one for like $250 or so and my upgrade isn't up for another year. Opinions would be much appreciated.

Its a crazy decivice. Definitely a inc2 upgrade. Same shape and feel just bigger.
You'll need some patience. Its the best device ive owned....and I owned a galaxy nexus...but I do hate the battery. Only downfall.
I would say do it. The phone came out in Nov. And as far as Verizon is concerened the specs still haven't been beat. Its nice.

$250 is not a bad price, and the screen on the Rezound is killer. Be prepared to go through batteries like it's nobody's business though. I keep 2 spares in my pocket, and I don't consider myself a power user.
Let me know if you want to sell your Inc2, I love that phone.

I'm curious on those people who have s-off and custom kernals. Any news on better battery life, I'm just debated because LTE is known for sucking the life out of a battery.
Currently, I get almost 2 days with limited use.
I just bought one for $330 (beats, box, extended battery, otterbox and few extra batteries). And I've got a galaxy nexus. The Gnex has a bad camera in low light or indoors. I'm really looking for the day the package arrives.

I hated my Nexus. Horrible camera, lousy speaker. Beats ear buds couldn't save that phone. Lol. Dropped calls, and soooo many accidental screen shots. And I couldn't get used to a power button on the side and the volume rockers in the middle.
With that said...totally sexy phone. Screen was nice and so customizable. Lots of dev support. The Rezound is the perfect size and as long as you have those batteries you'll be fine.

I'm getting 7 hours average. Light use days are 10 hours....heavy use is 5 hours.
S-off doesn't really do anything special for the phone..just allows stuff to be flashed that wasn't supported with HTC dev unlock..like radios and kernels via recovery.

Great phone. Only thing that sucks is battery like everyone has already said. I need to pick up a spare battery myself.

It gud phone k? K
I recommend it. I went and got the extended battery and verizon case //holster with it and I'm super hype lol. This tank like phone won't have to worry about scuffs or the battery dying.

honestly on this phone I don't notice much of a difference on 3g vs 4g for battery life. I don't know why that is, maybe it has something to do with the size of the antennae running through the back cover.
Totally worth it. Extended battery is a must though if you want to use 4g for more than 5 minutes. With extended battery, you can go all day with Pandora on 4g and still have a good 30% or so left.

the only way you will get 2 days use on the rezound is too buy an extended battery. the phone is great but the battery life is not soo much.
