So I rooted my S3 successfully but does anyone have a safe list of programs/processes that we can freeze. Also I know the government passed rules about national alerts. Did anyone see the alerts and the presidential alert (the one you cannot uncheck in the settings on the stock messaging program?

Dont know if this was mentioned yet. The old evo4g method worked with MSL reader.
All that needs to be done is having TEMP root and then download the MSL reader from the Android Market.
It's been mentioned several times.

I just looked at the rules out of curiosity. Could you link or quote the rule you are citing?
Most mods sticky some forum specific rules in each subforum but I do not see any here. I did see a rule against flaming though.
The EVO 4G community was so much better.

1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
It's obviouse you didn't search. This has been mentioned a hundred times already. There was absolutely no reason to clutter the devs thread with this. And yes there are several rules about posting non devs related (junk) threads in the devs section. If you aren't releasing a ROM, script, root method, or technical how to; then you have absolutely no business posting in the devs thread.
I miss the EVO 4G forums too. We didn't have near the junk threads there.
Link to what to post where.

Thread closed and moved as it has already been thanks for trying to help, but always better to search.
I'm using Samsung's messaging client and I've noticed that when I receive an SMS, the time displayed is not the actual sent time but the time it was received by me.
Is there any way to fix this ??
1. Read the forum rules
2. This is general, not Q&A. This is a question.
3. Search before you ever ask any questions. See here...

4. Finally, here's a thread discussing your question...

I tried both on a previous old firmware but not newer firmwares. If you try it let me know the results.
I think we all have the same problem with the time stamps, when the phone has been turned off or without connection. Whenever you receive text messages it writes when you receive them and not when they were sent. It really blows. It it not the same problem as the one you describe though, but the same as AaronUK has
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Been toying around with the new MIUI Tom and glitch kernel for the past week and have noticed a couple issues.
1 g sensor....sucks
2 inability to mass text. Messages come up as
3 restoring data doesn't work 100% of the time
4 3g sometimes stops working. Fixed by turning data on and off
5 no camera flash or flash apps will work
6 error in notification bar "Sync: too many contacts deletes"
Anyone else having the same issues or know any work arounds?

Is this development? No. So you could have put this in either the MIUI thread or the Questions and Answers. This does not belong here.

God. Do people just suck? when you sign up to be a part of XDA there is a video you watch if you're a noob. There are rules everywhere. And GOD common ****ing sense tells you to post a question in a QNA section. Use the search bar, its what its there for. All of your ISSUES with MIUI are already known by the community if you'd take the time to look. Jesus.

Red5, can you stop acting like a preteen and delete the threads instead of just closing them? Whomever gave you mod power must have been drunk off his mind that day...

Closed threads serve as examples to others of how NOT to post.
Hence the reply bad thread is bad

Galnet discussion is banned here, and has been for a while - you should have known the thread would get locked as soon as Red5 saw it, I know you were around here when the galnet situation blew up.

It probably would have helped if Red5 had mentioned that Galnet discussion is banned here instead of just saying bad thread is bad. People new to the forum or new to MIUI might not know about it.
Now I know they can search but it doesnt come up with anything about the ban that I could find, at least on mobile.

Seems like the more intelligent way to get Red5's attention would have been to send him a pm instead of opening yet another useless thread to get flamed in.

Sorry if there was confusion I was not aware we couldn't even discuss galnets rom. If that's the case then go ahead and delete the aosp hellraiser thread in development as well. I may as well move to china.

We Mod's have specific guidelines and rules to follow. We're supposed to close threads instead of deleting them because threads can be closed for a number of reasons and can be tracked easier if searched for (which nobody seems to do anymore). If we need to look at a track record of a member and look at the threads taht person has created, closed threads are easier to find than deleted ones. Also, if a thread is deleted, so are the posts and postcounts go down. Not something too earth shattering, but its still a reason.
tl;dr NO.
Thread closed.
I was just downloading beans3 and noticed I have zero details about the current download other than a percentage of completion in the drop down menu.
Is there a way to see more details or does anyone recommend a free download app to see more details such as speed, time remaining, time elapsed, ect...
Unlocked, rooted, running bean2 currently, nova launcher
Thanks!
