Can you post the detailed score to see where mines slackin? I notice I never hit over 1500 on ram? I seen some hti like 1650.

Work now

Just stop worrying about benchmarks. They're pointless. They can be skewed by random stuff, so they don't mean much. If your phone is running just as smoothly or smoother, then what does a number matter?

I wasnt sure if it was just a wang measuring contest or not..
Benchmark means nothing or just not everything?
I was using it as a base to determine if my rig does well. I'm at 1.83ghz, and rooms super smooth on FJ rom, I'm just a speed whore and want it to be fast as possible.

Maybe it says something comparing scores between different clock speeds on the same ROM, but even the same ROM on two different phones will give different scores. Comparing benchmarks with other people is definitely a pissing match.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2

How to get higher Quadrant scores (Better Performance)

I have the HTC Thunderbolt running Synergy 8-12-11 build themed with the Dark Horse 8-12 based theme. I've seen many people post Quadrant scores well over 2000. Im curious, how can I achieve this with my device running the Rom im running. I was thinking that O'cing would be part of this, but im not familiar with how that works. If anyone knows how I can achieve better performance and a higher Quadrant score, I would love the help. If O'cing and messing wit the governor is part of this process, can you direct me to a thread that gives a thorough explanation of the process. Im sorta new to that aspect of the rooted phones. I've seen some of the apps and settings but don't know how to use them.
Thanks in advance.

First, understand quadrant scores have nothing to do with the phones performance, a high score does not mean that the phone has better performance.
Second, remember the first rule.

Benchmarks are dandy tools for comparing different software... nothing more. nothing less. What is being measured is of questionable relevance though. You're running a ROM with Ziggy's "world-famous" kernel... That leads me to believe Ziggy's website might shed a LOT of light on the subject of tweaking his kernels. I'm gonna suggest you Google ol' Ziggy471 and wrap your brain around what that old man has to offer.
My quadrant score with how I have my phone set up right now is only 1339. Now people would say that is horribly low for the phone, and terrible. For a "benchmark score" it is pretty bad, but that doesn't tell how well a phone actually performs in the "real world"

(DISCUSSION) 4G LTE Rom Comparisons (BENCHMARKS)

This Thread DEPENDS on YOU!!!
I wanted to start this thread because I have not recieved my phone yet but I was always tired of trying out 1 rom then finding out another rom was faster and flashing that (and so the cycle continues). So after verifying with one of the mods out there they told me to post here for now.
What I will be doing is contacting every rom developer in the LTE section and having them post results of there rom from a program called (AnTuTU). It shows scores for CPU, GPU, RAM, I/O speeds
I have already got in contact with one rom developer who is going to be sending me a screenshot shortly. If you would like to please go ahead and do a benchmark for me and send it and I will post it until the rom developer sends me theirs. I will be making a graph showing the speed differences in rom speeds (and possibly battery life) once I start getting results!
Also what about battery life? Can you also post results of battery life? With a response of a rating scale of how hard you used ur phone during that time (1 being low, 10 being high usage)
SORRY IF I MISSED YOUR ROM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I'M MISSING ANY!

I haven't rooted and I haven't found a need to, yet. I probably will when I find an AOSP ROM that I like.
If you want the vanilla ICS look and feel on your home screen, try Apex launcher. It's faster and snappier than using sense.
I would say yes, at the least it will allow you to rid the bloatware you will never use. Unless you use or like the bloat and some of the useless apps put on all phones.
Apex launcher did it for me. Thanks!
I'm actually not concerned with any bloatware, which is only a few programs. Guess I'll be leaving this one alone then.

Anw, it's true though.... So far speed rom has been pretty good for me.
So far so good, except for the occasional force close when I text with multiple contacts
i thought about not rooting either but i was like eh whatever, and gave energy a try. battery life and phone speed is sooo much better. along with the removal of worthless bloat! been using for past 2 months or so and so far there's been absolutely no bugs or problems. so i suggest root!
I've been debating the same idea... I've rooted every android phone I've had..but as of now I dont see the point on this phone besides removing bloat until development picks up a bit..

So no ICS ROM is a working one? Interesting.
All the ICS ROMs are working. Some are works in progress but the ones based off of the latest release works fine. +1 for Speed Rom. Best ROM yet with most of the bloat removed. Something to hold me over until a true AOSP ROM comes out.

I broke last night and gave the Speed Rom a try. Very nice!! It doesn't hurt, but it's good to see all that bloatware removed. Rooting was a breeze but I'll hold off on the S-Off for as long as I can lol. Not too crazy about grounding the phone out just yet.
It's only been a day, but I've yet to run into any issues with the Speed Rom and battery life is great. One weird thing though is when I get a call and the phone is locked, I have to unlock the screen to see who it is. Is that normal?

The question was about being on stock I believe. Why is rootyourphoneandflash suggested? Not everyone wants to root and flash.
@OP.. does it feel slow to you? Have you tried other benchmarks?
Its quadrant for Christ sake. When has this app ever been uaed for real world benchmarking?!. No benchmarking application can compare to real life usage. If its smooth in real life, who cares what Quadrant says???

the only validity of benchmarking is for you to compare your phone when flashing between roms, and that is dubious at best,.......don't worry about them, gauge your phone on how it feels

Total: 5524
CPU: 12930
Mem: 4658

It's odd that you're getting those numbers... I don't think SiyahKernel can improve that much, maybe a little, but definitely not as much.

Benchmarks are a tool that run a series of tests no more no less . Phones and software/ apps/ firmware vary their is no true test as no phone is the same .
Suggest if you are not happy with your score .
one backup data and factory reset the phone .
still not happy return to seller/ service center

for me I don't care about the benchmark mark at all
even you get the highest score did you very happy about it ?
and just enjoy your phone, don't think so much
Every single phone performs differently and its due to manufacturing. Also hot/cold temps can effect performance. Generally, the colder your device is the better.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Technically, your phone and your friend's should have the same firmware since you're probably in the same country. And this means that your benchmark scores should be quite similar. A 1200 point difference is a bit too much.
So in short, there might actually be cause for concern.
I would suggest that you wipe everything and see if it still persists. But if your phone performance is unaffected, you could just as well ignore it.

Post Your Benchmark Scores Here!

The Title says it all
Post whatever you feel like, most people use Antutu or Quadrant Standard but feel free to add Geekbench or any others
Help some people out as well, let them know if you're using a custom rom or kernel or what version of android your on
All I can say is that this is a beast!

Yeah! I noticed there are no kernels except for 1 which is based on stock?
What do you think we could go up to? 2.5ghz? maybe more? The nexus 5 has an overclockable kernel that goes up to 3.0ghz! Not that you need it that high and no one has ever dared go that high but still, the options there

How on earth did you get it that high
I've had just under 35k but just then the best I got on two runs was 33656 on a C6802 running my own cooked rom based on .290 and doggrom 3.x

Also i got over 37k by overclocking the CPU to 2.35 ghz with Carbon rom, did not try to oc the GPU though, but i went back to stock 4.3 because i had my signals bars stuck at 2 bars with this rom.
I'm waiting for a full stable / no bugs 4.4 rom so i can try RevolutionKernel and push that GPU to 600 MHz
I did manage this last week before it died! DoggROM v4.6 : 34391
Stock CPU clock.
