This issue is particularly when i exit from a particular app and reach my home screen, at this point my home screen goes blank.. and the widgets take time to show up... what is the possible reason for it? Can this issue be solved?
Another issue is with the phone book. It takes time to open.. how can this be resolved?
I am using Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (ICS)
The home issue is a redraw where the launcher goes out of memory (oom) as android system is freeing up ram foe another process and therefore you re home restarts, the fix is to use supercharger, there are threads on it so I'm not going to tell you more about it
And the contacts issue has been in all Sony ICS builds and there is a script somewhere that kinda solves it. But I cant recall where it is
Regards

Check Themes/Apps there is my thread for supercharging ICS 4.0.4 and there js the new homelauncher from xperia s android 4.0.4 and the OP is clear enough to understand.
Even a little kid understand the explaination, my little bro from 10 understand it, i have test him on my Neo V and do the exact steps what i do couple of months ago

I had some issues like this, I´m using Thilinac Pureness. Use Android Assistant to monitor your memory and see if there is any app consuming resources.
As other said it is because you run out of memory if you are root try v6 supercharger script.
Or simply try using a taskmanager or advanced task killer.

These can actually make it worse, dropped by oom is a totally different thing to running out of memory.
Super charging is the answer, making the launcher and phone bulletproof will stop them being dropped from memory.

Its Android
If its ANDROID.......It Has To LAG.....
Cpu is often awake! And sometimes it keep waking up which drain battery dramatically even charger won't charge or slow! While i'm off to bed, I've been charging my battery for 5 hours when i woke up it's 20%. I'm on stock and ka speed kernel i even undervolted 75mv!

I would suggest the following: wipe cache and dalvik, flash Advanced stock kernel (build 11 is the best) and test. If the issue persists, look for the app which is draining your battery.
I think it's walkman app! Because i just stop listening to music before going to bed! Maybe it kept cpu to wake continuosly!

To to Settings > Apps > All and disable any app you don't use, especially com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup. There is a bug in Sony's ICS firmware which doesn't let phone sleep properly when Wi-Fi is disable, so keep it enable even thought you are not using it.
For more info check out this thread.

Hi,
I have a problem with receiving calls on my sola. It takes a few second when it is able to receive and after I slide to receive I have to wait another 4-5 sec to hear other site. I found this thread on sonymobile http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/57245 but there is no anwer or solution
I tried stock 1.54 firmware, BrainsRom, Pure BloodRom v2, munjenis kernel, but it didnt solve this problem.
Also tried latest 201 fxp CM9, but it kills battery to much, had issues with gps and also nfc don't work properly still.
Has anyone this issue with incoming calls too?
Is there some solution for this?
Pls help, I'm hopeless after few months with sola :crying:
I have the same issue, i had it also on my Old samsung, but fast update resolve problem. I dont know what sony doing. The same with incall speaker. Too low.

I had this problem sometimes, it happened when ram was low and after heavy using..
to avoid it set background processes limit to 2 or 3 . and use some task manager widget like Go taskmanager or ram booster.. And of course reboot ur device every 2 or 3 days maximum -_-" , I'm not having it with good ram management..

Thx, but I'm still having this issue even after I flashed .54 stock firmware, did root, removed all bloatware. I was running on pure and clean system with constantly about 160MB fee ram
Now I'm trying new pulaks ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089032), hope that it is the solution :fingers-crossed:
I had this problem on stock ics. Switching to cm9 fixed it for me. Never gonna go back again.

Also tried fxp and xfp based, but had another problems - not fully functional NFC, GPS issues, sporadis phone restarts, battery killing, app freezing...
OK I had this problem again today, took me like 17 seconds to answer a call..tho my device was in very good condition. So I really give up about this stupid issue.. I flashed Fire Droid today, shame on Sony for not solving such a basic issue

I vote the FXP solution too. That worked out for me.
Did you do a full wipe before flashing FXP? But yeah, the NFC isn't that great on CM9, but at least the "phone" portion of it works.
@Snowstormzzz
Before FXP I flashed fresh .54 stock, then flashed boot.img and did wiped all through cwm, then wipe again after install all zips
@Silver-7
Maybe in .75 version it will be resolved
Anyway, I'm on FLUIDITY ROM now for almost 2 days, waiting for incoming calls - still in hope that this stupid bug is already resolved here.
Let us know about the result please

Hi, after 4 days on Fluidity OC I accepted several calls and it seems that bug with receiving calls is resolved here!!!
Thx to pulak861
Cool, but u know sometimes I don't have it even in a month! So I guess we still have to hope for an official fix in .75
Btw I flashed back to stock this time without using any task managers depending on theory that Android has it's special behavior about ram management unlike windows.
I recommend u use "Watchdog" app, to kill only apps that eat CPU not ram. Well so far I'm not having problems too.
Sent from my MT27i
In my case it was delayed in about 4 calls of 5 on all ROMs except FXP, so I'm happy now :victory:
And thanks for Watchdog tip
I have the latest stock ics on xu...but it seems background data doesn't work...it worked great on gb...so I get notifications from instagram... Emails..etc...my battery drains like usain bolt...same happens with my otg cabel...plz help??

Hey
I'm using DevSwifts JB Rom and since v2 i'm experiencing some battery drain. Lost about 15% in 1,5 hrs and i wasnt even using my phone. (WiFi was on)
I installed better battery stats, and as i can see, kworkers are keeping my phone busy. (see attachments below).
Im using interactive + deadline and since no one is complaining about battery drain in DevSwifts thread, i assume that i'm the only one.
So, are there any solutions, to solve that problem?
Greetz and thanks

Android OS Is eating my battery >.<

hi
me i m using OndemandX or HotplugX and sio or row for battery its better; and i don t know how many governors you have
..but because u have, like xperia p double core cpu, u should use a governor with an X wich is cutting down one core when screen is off, then maybe a task killer set up to half an hour like i did should be good too...
my battery last me a day an half with some wifi and data traffic a bit of calling and gaming...
hope it helped
First of all thank you. Didnt know what the x stood for
But unfortunately, it didnt solve my problem, that Android OS Is consuming so much battery.
Deleting all init.d tweaks didnt solve it, too.
I tried to install gektheboss init.d tweaks, and it seems, the problem is solved, finally!
