i have the International version,
1-after root the phone, is the stock firmware still there or is gone
2- after the phone is root, can i still use the stock firmware
thanks
Rooting has nothing to do with what firmware you can run.
so YES you can be completely STOCK with a Rooted Phone!!!

Hi, I had rooted my galaxy FIT on stock rom with gingerbread 2.3.4 & firmware version S5670DDKQ5 using SUPERONECLICK earlier.
Recently my fone was upgraded by samsung kies to gingerbread 2.3.6 & firmware version S5670DDKT2, and after the upgrade I was unrooted again
When I tried to root again, all my attempts failed, I used SuperOneClick 2.3.3 to root my fone again, but it failed after STEP 7.
So can anyone please tell me, why can't I root my fone now, has SAMSUNG patched the zergrush exploit?
If so how do I root again?, I mean it should be safe enough to try coz I don't wanna brick my phone....
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

I was basically wondering if i used this guide, would i brick my or cause serious damage to my phone ? Please help me cause im DYING to root this phone, and if i cant use this guide, what guide could i use that would be compatible with my firmware version. Thanks!!!!!!!

It works. Just did it. 4.0.4 is what's important there. Mine is brand new with uvmb1 & now it's rooted
Hello everybody
I am new in this forum so please don't hate.
I hade S3 with orginal branded system but it was very slow so i wanted to get orginal rom without branding. I gave my phone to my uncle and he roted it and instaled TWRP (teamwin), galaxy apps and namless rom. This rom is a custom room and it has a lot of problems like: sometimes camera isin't working, widgets are invisible, galaxy apps weren' working (so i made a mistake and deleted it and now other google apps like YT aren't working) and there are a lot of another bugs. I have Odin and orginal version of non branded system from SamMobile. My question is do I need to do unroot before pluging telephone to pc and using odin or this is unnessery? I am new in xda and I don't now much about programing and stuff like this. So please help me!!
I would not use the image file from SamMobile to repair this issue. If you give me your exact model and serial off the sticker under battery, I can get you the Service files you need to COMPLETELY fix your issues.
And NO, your not going to need to unroot the device if you use the Service Files. It will under it for you!
Please let me know!
You can just flash the same rom over it to repair it.
You can flash with odin but im not 100% about debranding. If the phone is unlocked you should be ok using a btu (international) rom.
Make sure you know your efs version if you plan on flashing anything less than 4.3.
The answer to your question is no. You do not need to unroot but you WIll lose root.
Sent from a stolen phone!
The best way is to tell your uncle to restore stock firmware debloated.
Otherwise, find out your baseband version and model number and search xda for the CORRECT rom and flash it using ODIN.
I have an s5 that came with 5.1.1 completely stock, unrooted with baseband: G900TUVU1FOF6. I have never downgraded an s5 before. I've only done it to nexus devices. Does anyone have any instructions on how I should downgrade it? I was thinking of using the 5.1.1 rooting procedure that involves flashing a kernel with kies then maybe it would be possible to flash a custom 5.0 rom with recovery. I'm not sure that is a good idea though because I wasn't sure if the bootloader, CSC, or PDA firmware would still be stuck at the 5.1.1 version.
Edit:
I found this video which seems to say you don't need to root. I'll try the video's method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nek0lowlMmM
I rooted my S6 Edge on version 5.1.1 and I want to unroot. All methods I've seen I have to download the stock firmware and use the root precess to install that instead but I doesn't work, I managed to soft brick my phone and the only way to get it back on is by reinstalling the root kernel. Does anyone know how I can full unroot?
Model Number: SM-G925F
And I use EE mobile service
