After installing the 2.2.1 froyo_Achotjan ROM on my Sony Ericsson X10i, I am unable to use my Wifi. whenever I switch on wifi, it says "error"...
any solution to this? did I forget to install something, or did I install something wrong? I followed all the instructions in the guide...

And after reboot install via recovery the fix
if u don't install the fix u wont have the wifi working
and if u install fix at the same session that u installed the rom u will lose the settings.apk

I tried that...the bad behavior...it scans for networks, but refuses to pick up my router. then it automatically switches off my wifi. when I try again...I get "error". When I try to do bad behavior again, it doesn't work.
I installed this baseband: "Achotjan_v01.4_baseband_54/55/58_Full " from the guide
but in my phone, under baseband, it says "unknown" after installation

u installed a option of rom that use the 54-58 baseband
but before installing that rom u should check what baseband r u using...
and after that u could choose what version use...

with the baseband .58
flash u x10 with that baseband and maybe ur problem get solved

flash ur phone with .58 baseband
achotjan says that his rom works better with .58
baseband works 4 all the wireless conectivity so wifi could be affected if are using diferent baseband
i'm using the .58 and my x10 works great with achotjan 2.2 vers 1.4

hi I had the same exact problem. so since i am already on 2.2.1 am I suppose to go back to 2.1 , i had 2.1.54, so how do I exactly downgrade it back?
recently i unlocked my bootloader and was using FeraLab v20 ROM with FeraKernel.
after that i flashed kCernel_v5_1036.ftf Kernel.
When the flash was complete i could not enter in recovery mode and phone booted to the fera v20 ROM.
then tried flashing recovery mode via flashtool but no help.
Then tried flashing FeraKernel which i was using earlier but flashtool gave me error each time i tried flashing it.
The error is in the image below.
so help me.... i dont know wht to do know... im getting frustrated a lot. cud not find any help from various threads.
Look...this kcernel isnt finished yet, i think...this is project in development...but, lets try to help you...
First download latest Flashtool 0.9.8.0. and install it.
Download SEUS and flash STOCK rom with it. That will install and Stock kernel. After that, root your phone again via Flashtool( new one). Than choose kernel (Ferakernel, Doomkernel) to flash if you don't want Stock one, or just flash Bootmanager v2 by Doomlord, (to get Xrecovery, CWM recovery, and Bootmanager) via flashtool to gain access to recovery modes.

, because i try others kernels and install u room but wifi dont work, i hope u can help me regards.

problem was that somehow my bootloader got locked again, and i had to unlock it again.
i unlocked it and installed kernel via flashtool and this error was gone..
first chk ur bootloader that it is locked or unlocked???
help i tried installing any ics roms on neo L but wifi not working -_-
it lead me to flash the official rom cause it dont have file manager and
i cant install cmw cause my bl is locked ..
so any one could help me to fix wifi on ics ? i tried searching but i cant find answer
for locked bootloader .i dont want to unlock mine cause its 5 days old i dont want to lose my warranty

If u want to use revo ics you'll have to wait ! Current the dev is working hard in oder to fix WiFi ! If u want just try to flash WiFi module ! I don't how to build it !

yup this problem occurs only when u dont have kernel for that particular rom. so first flash kernel and then install rom.
Now u having unloacked bootloader so use file which i have attached to install CWM.

Hello,
I'm using Neo V , BB 77., Unclocked Bootloader and Rooted with DoomLords script.
I'm falshing the kernel with Flashtool in fastboot mode and after that going into recovery and Installing the ROM, and after installation is done, its not rebooting.. Phone keeps on Looping on SONY logo.. Also, if i have flashed kernel/rom i should see someother boot animation.
I knnow i have to wait for some time to boot, I waited for 30 mins to boot, but it dint. Finally i'm back to the same original FTF.
Any help on this would be thankful.
Put rom & gapps on sdcard first
Flash kernel [ for jb rom jb kernel ]
Go to cwm do all wipes...
Now install rom than gapps...
Flash modules also if ur kernel have it... Now reboot system..

Signal Issues..
Till day it all looks good, but from lat 2-3 days im experiencing signal drop.. No Signal at all in a place where other mobiles are getting full signal.
Is this prob with Kernel or ROM?
Heard this also depends on governors and freq.
Need help on this, thinking to revert back to Stock after this issues. :|

someone pls help me my wifi is NOT turning on when i chek my wifi on its says ERROR and also my wifi mac address is not shown ,i am facing this problem after installing cwm recovery .my device is sony ericson live with walkman wt19i.

this is not a good idea to flash phone for such a this type of prob. i am facing same prob but not getting the right solution. I hope i will get soon.

look I'm saying that flashing is a last option if soft and hard reset work if u give ur phone to service center they will do this also ,but if u don't want to flash u can use Sony update service

mostly ur problem is: wrong kernel OR on ics mosttimes: forget wifi modules for custom kernel...

hey gys can anyone tell me how to fix this problem,
actually my wifi is not working and i want to flash a official rom(2.3.4 gb) but when ever i connect my mobile with usb in fast mode the flashtool give meesege that ur device is connect in fastboot mode but after 1 min. it's disconnect itself and says connect ur device .....so what to do for this ......
and i have already install adb &fastboot driver from flash tool>driver......

do it like this: 1. prepare all stuff in flashtool (rom etc). UNTIL it says (shows) to connect ur phone. power off phone. now u need to connect it with FLASHMODE (green led lit) , NOT FASTBOOT MODE (blue led), to d so HOLD vol down PRESSED while connecting to pc. NOTE: on other phones models it canm be a other botton to press use google to find out, as example on a arc its the menu button.

uhhm, sry but now i cant help you :crying::crying:, but i really want.. the problem is i have no experience of this device, also i guess you installed a custom rom for ur device. at best 1st: check on your romthread/site if wifi is fixed there. secondly if no fix, post a message to the dev of your rom. like said cant help even if i want. may u need a specific kernel for your rom to get wifi work, so better check your rom thread. sry:crying:
