Any VZW rooted, stripped and deodexed stock ICS ROM out there? - Motorola Droid RAZR

I have a VZW Razr Maxx. Wondering if there is a stock ICS ROM that has been rooted, stripped of all VZW/Motorola crap and deodexed?
Thanks!

I'd like that too. I can't ever seem to find a from that hasn't been over done. Just want a plain vanilla ICS rom.

This one isn't vanilla stock but I like it so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745928
I think it may also be the only one rooted, stripped, deodexed custom ICS ROM right now that does not mess around with the kernel. I like the stock kernels + customized/stripped apps because I do not need custom kernel features like OC but absolutely hate most wireless-provider/manufacturer apps/customizations. Moto Blur is plain awful and combined with all the crappola that Verizon dishes out, I am glad to have the Spyder ROM.

Try to check on droidhive (there is a lot more cdma activity there compared to xda where is focused more on gsm)

Thanks for the pointer. I looked and found only one non-CM9/AOKP ROm over there:
http://www.droidhive.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1176-rom-droidrazr-ics404-simplexrom-v101-712012/
So the counter for stock kernel + Rooted, stripped, deodexed ROMs stands at two:
Black Widow Ics-6.16.214.spyder.deodex (includes leaked .214 update)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745928
Simplexrom-v1.0.1 (based on OTA .211 update)
http://www.droidhive.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1176-rom-droidrazr-ics404-simplexrom-v101-712012/
Both need SafeStrap 2.00 prior to installation.

[Request] Official CM9 and AOKP support.

I was wondering how to request the developers of Cyanogenmod and AOKP to make an official port of the RAZR XT910/912. I mean, we've got an unofficial port working already and MIUI is also making an official RAZR ROM, so how to get started with CM9 and AOKP. I know that the code freeze for CM9 has started already; but they have mentioned that they'll take new devices into considerations.
Not possible. we need a unlocked bootloader for a custom kernel, to have fully functional aosp

Not completely true. There are some rom based on cm9 and aokp that works on gb kernel and ics leak but they are cdma only (you need a gsm patch to make them work on the xt910)

[Q] Stock ICS 6.16.211 Deodexed?

I just got my RAZR on Wednesday, and I absolutely love it! Is there any rom out there that's just the stock rom deodexed, with the 1% battery mod? Thanks!

I think you'll find the 211, too. Just search for it @ DroidRzR. I'm to lazy right now

Thanks for the reply. I did install the latest of Eclipse, and so far so good. I'm a little leery of heavily moded roms after my experience on the Incredible 2. No matter what I installed, unless it was CM7 or a stock-based rom, I had nothing but problems, so I'm trying to stay as stock as possible.
Thanks again!

Gsm/Cdma Stock Based Rom Kernel Patches (29/07/2013)

WHAT IS THIS?I want provide special patches to make possible run any Verizon android JB 4.1.2 ROM for DROID RAZR XT912 on RAZR XT910 without messing up with your cid and change your kernel. Also 98.72.8 stock based ROMS on DROID RAZR XT912 runing 98.72.16 kernel.
What does it means?
In example you can flash any stock based ROM verizon 98.72.16 or leaked 98.72.8 on your RAZR XT910 then install Patch From 98.72.8-16 CDMA to 982.124.14-17 GSM via custom recovery and boot device running original 982.124.14/17 kernel.
CDMA users which miss old 98.72.8 stock based ROMS can flash Patch From 98.72.8 CDMA to 98.72.16 CDMA without changing kernel and boot your DROID RAZR XT912 with 98.72.16 kernel.
Read this:
Some stock based ROMS have build.prop tweaks and init.d tweaks. After patch GSM XT910 users lost this tweaks but not others amazing ROMs features.CDMA DROID RAZR XT912 users can keep tbuild.prop tweaks if have in ROM.
if you want have build.prop modded features just add them manually. For init.d tweaks if have in modded ROM you can open folder system/etc/init.d and look if any of scripts do not init CPU control modules. From kernel to kernel this modules must be recomplied. That is why my installation script remove init.d folder if have in ROM. You also can add init.d folder with all included scripts later after boot your ROM, only remember about cpu control modules which make your phone not bootable if not run original ROM kernel.
Other than this all functions must work 100%

data should work, may be just some personal rom issue. In fact you don't need gsm patch separately, it's include in my patch otherwise rom have problem. If you are about CDMA DROID RAZR then try put original build.prop from your rom jellywiz rls7. Oh, you are GSM LATAM).

Oh nice, artur! You just figured out how to run .18/.16 based VZW Roms on XT910 with latest EU kernel! Good job!!
I just had a lokk into the patch and figured that you just copied all related kernel modules from VZW rom? Does wifi work on that? If wifi doesn't work you should remove ONLY the wlan modules.
Edit: Artur, are you familiar with C?

Yes, just figured out that it works fine!
Thx to your work I can apply this rom for Kexec - but I will do this when I fifnished my StockCore kernel (JBX-Kernel port for Stock Roms).
Better saying: Instaed of patching all roms I will release a flashable kernel for stock roms to use JBX-Kernel on sotck roms.
I asked you for C because you might want to join development? As you might have noticed I am searching for some help on kernels

I will look on it. I have checked with stock 98.72.8 and 98.72.16 roms and everything worked just fine. Give me have a try with Jellywiz rls7.
Update: I have checked with Jellywiz rls7 and APN can add manually or with different apns-conf.xml. Put my one from attachment archive in /system/etc/ folder then go to apn settings and reset to defaults and reboot device. Now i can confirm that data also working. Make sure do not install any GSM patch above my patch.

Same here. Miui boots but no phone or data. Pity, as Miui is interesting.
The file from the link reads:
Patch From 98.72.8 CDMA to 98.72.16 CDMA-1.zip
Is that a bad link or just a strange name for the patch?
I have a XT912 on the stock OTA for North America.
I also tried the solution for Jelly wiz but it didn't work.

[Q] Wanna get back to JB 4.1.2

Now i had Vodafone Eu 4.1.2 on my stock and i accidentally installed Avatar ROM on it (I wanted to keep my stock slot on Moto JB and use system 2 for experimenting with other ROMs like Avatar) . Now both my slots: slot 1 and slot 2 have Avatar ROM on it. Is there any way to go back to Moto JB without going thru the RSD way..??
I have BMM
If you made a backup prior to flashing avatar you can; otherwise you're pretty much stuck without "your"stock..but worry not my friend you can flash this rom instead,it is stock, much better than original I'd say; it is deodexed and looks very cool.

[Q] Need Help Switching ROMs (HELP WANTED)

Phone: Droid Razr XT912 CDMA spyder
Current Custom Rom: Avatar Rom
Android Version on Custom Rom: 4.2.2
Kernel Version on Custom Rom: 3.0.8
Stock Rom Version: 4.1.2
Stock Kernel Version: 3.0.8
Current SafeStrap version: 3.11
I am trying to switch to [ROM] UnOfficial MIUIv5 Droid Razr xt912 CDMA 4.2.2 but do not quite know how?? The requirements for the ROM are what is causing me the hassle. MIUIv5 only works with kernel 3.0.8 and Jelly Bean 4.1.2 or 4.2.2, and can only be flashed using Safe Strap 3.65.
Do I have to completely unroot my phone and activate stock rom again and root again then re-download new version of safestrap then flash the desired rom, or is there an easier way? Plz help I am new to changing roms, walk me through the easiest way to go from Avatar Rom to MIUIv5.
No need to unroot or anythin.
Update your safestrap.
Delete and re-create the rom-slot.(MIUI works only in slot 1)
Wipe the slot,
Flash the ROM.

Thanks a ton for your help. One question, are you currently using MIUI v5? If you are, would you classify it as being stable? If not what are the some of the major issues that I should be aware of? Sorry for asking so much questions I just really want to sure myself that it is worth the switch. Thanks again for your help! Much Love! :good:

I used MIUI v5, and its stable as hell. All apps work and no random reboots. One of the best(if not the best) ROM on the Razr. Only issue i had that it ran a bit slow. Apps take marginally longer to open. Though i did not try JBX.

I'm using it at present in slot1
Its the most stable one for me. Everything works smoothly. The RAM usage is a little high, so you might need to freeze some system apps.
Overall, I'd totally recommended it.
