i have no idea what i did but on my phone, my internal sd card isnt shown at all. i cannot save any files to my phone, download anything etc. so i decided to upload whatever files i needed to skydrive, and then using the app, download those files onto my phone. however, i cannot save any kind of file. when i use my file manager (SlimFile Manager) on the top it says that i have a total of 0.00gb of internal storage and 0.00gb free of internal storage. further, whenever i go into clockwork mod and try to access internal storage, it says it doesnt exist and that i have to mount it. if i try to mount it, it doesnt let me. currently, the only way i can transfer any files, view any pictures, any roms etc is by connecting my external sd card to my computer, copying over the file onto it, putting the sdcard into my phone, going into clockwork mod and flashing through external sd. i cannot view any pictures at all. i have tried to move onto another rom and see if that fixes it, but have had no success. please help me! thanks!
i would attach screenshots but i cannot since my phone wont let me take any screenshots right now it says it cant save them anywhere
Hello,
I need some help with my external SD card, please.
I've Googled this quite a bit and found many with related problems, but no solutions.
From time to time, it's hard to tell what triggers it, I notice I can't write any files to my external SD card.
My guess is the card either becomes write protected, or all apps loose permission to write to the card.
To enable writing again I can unmount and then remount the card from the system menu (don't need to physically pull card).
The last time I tried this I noticed, using ES, the external SD containing lots of files named the sign for «mu» (looks like a u), 0 bytes in size.
I've tried rebooting the phone, pulling the card, and reformatting the card.
I'm on an international, unbranded, stock, unrooted, Android 4.3 Galaxy S3.
My questions are as follows:
1) Does anyone know the cause of this problem and how to solve it?
2) Falling that, is there an app that can automatically unmount and then mount the external SD card, perhaps even as a Tasker plugin?
Thanks for your help!
Your card is either corrupt or faulty. Download the sd formatting tool and wipe it using your pc, if it happens again then throw it away.

Hello, i have problem moving the main storage , becouse every time i try make photo ot download something the phone ask me to transfer data to sd card and it`s so anoing! Thanks
It is because of running out of internal memory. Use clean master from google market. Set sd card as main storage in the camera app.
But get a fast SD Card or your phones Performance will suck.
Buenas, el problema es que no puedo hacer mis copias de seguridad directamente a la sd externa, la aplicación que utilizó es titanium backup
DO NOT BY ANY MEANS DOWNLOAD CLEAN MASTER... It's data minery and will only slow down your device. Ccleaner or sd maid is only apps to get
It's annoying, I agree. Sometimes there is nothing to move to external storage unit but notification pops up: "Transfer data to SDcard."
Swipe it to left or right to ignore it. It will not show up again, until reboot or something installed.
Well i have 7.50Gb of 8.0Gb memory and that window shows up "Please move some apps to sd card" when i move them to SD and the application is on SD Card , the system shows further that 7.50GB memory of 8.0GB is used...
Memory Solution
Check out this post . It worked on my M4 Aqua on E2303. Took a couple of tries though. Make a Full backup first.

even i was facing the same issue same like you initially but later i didnt i got 64 gb memory card and i manually moved all the apps to external storage so i didnt faced any issue like that
My H850 seems unable to write to my external SD card. I first noticed it when the camera app stopped saving photos to the card, and then tried copying files to the card using ES File Explorer and that can't write to the card either. The card has 40GB free according to Storage Settings (it's a 128GB Samsung card). If I take it out and plug it into a PC I have no problems writing to it.
This problem started happening around the time of the last software update (last week) - to versionV20i-234-30 (build NRD90U).
Any ideas?
...I've just discovered that I am able to delete files from the SD card (using ES File Explorer), although it takes a long time to do it (about 30 seconds to delete a 5MB file). Copying a file from one location to another on the SD card doesn't work.
I'm running the stock Android 7.0 ROM, unrooted
I have a moto g5 with sd card as internal memory and android 7. Since today I cannot save fotos (when I try to make a photo it says camera error, with screenshots it says not enough memory space, but there are 59gb free), cannot sent fotos or music (with whatsapp it says: the format of the item is not compatible, when I want to send as email it says the attachment is not found on the phone ). Also I cannot download apps. It is possible to copy the fotos and music to the laptop. Is there anyone who has an idea? I would be so happy.
I found the problem, quite simple: damaged micro sd-card
