Yesterday when I turned on the wifi on my GS2 I've received a pop up msg saying there was an update. I clicked on cancel and then went to settings, about the phone, updates and tried to update...to my surprise there was no updates available.
Could this be a virus? I've ran AVG and Bitdefender and they could not find anything.
Are you sure it said there was an update and not that it wanted to check for an update? I had a similar one that fooled me for a minute..I guess its because I always live in hope of one....

I updated my SGS II last night from Kies, and the call forwarding does not work now. I have the polish version and it is on Rogers in Canada. Even after the customer service did the forwarding it does not show on the phone that the the service is on. Anybody else have the same problem?

how did u get kies to update it?
my kies keeps saying 'my phone doesnt support firmware upgrade via kies'
my phone is rooted unlocked running 2.3.4
im on rogers canada
Everytime I go to check for a software update it starts checking then goes off quickly without telling me if there was one or not. Any suggestions?

Yea I'm rooted but I'm using the ota root hider keeper were it unroots me for ota updates

You can check the first and last post in that. The way I got around it was by activating my sim in another rezound and then swapping back into my original and it all of a sudden worked. Dont really know why, but i know another person got it working that way too.

This started this evening for me - I ask S-Voice, "What's the weather like outside?" and it spends some time thinking before returning with "No weather results, sorry"
Sometimes it returns with "Network error. Please try again"
When I ask about birthdates of my contacts, mathematical problems, weights and measures conversions and it responds correctly - unless it returns with "Network error. Please try again"
Is this happening to anyone else?

Im in the latest firmware LFB.. still im having the issue.. the older firmware worked fine.for me

I think you should try with wifi, i had the same problem when i m on mobile network.

I just got my S III today and I am having the same problem also.
Same issue for me too. Was working pretty good a couple of days ago, now - not so good. Tried it on 4g and wifi. No weather results and Network error.
Same here. I guess that is a problem on the server side, not on the client. Hope Samsung fix it soon.

So I got this Inspire online, and it is having a problem with rebooting itself. I looked online and apparently there was a critical update that fixed this issue for a lot of users, and my phone doesn't have this update yet. I'm not yet able to do a Software Update due to my service not being activated on the phone. Is there another way to get this update from my phone?
