If you're on ATT / Bell / Telus / Rogers you can do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 to get your stock recovery back. Stop after step 2. You'll still be rooted but it won't increase your flash counter.

My kernel is KF3 (cfroot) how do i restore back to the stock recovery?
Do i need to have stock recovery if my flash counter is 0 to claim on warranty?
For your phone to be warranty ready you have to be on stock firmware and not rooted. To get the stock recovery, flash the stock KF3 kernel back to your phone. You will need to delete the cwm and superuser app first. You can also just re-flash the entire stock firmware to the phone.

You need a jig to reset the counter.
I'm trying to get back to completely stock before return the Note. These are the steps I found in another thread. I was coming from the UCLF leak but the baseband is still showing UCLF.
1) Flash stock odin through Odin
2) Flash CWM Recovery through Odin
3) Flash AT&T Reset Flash Counter Zip through CWM Recovery
4) root without tripping the flash counter: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1518962
5) unroot without tripping the flash counter: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=133
After doing this, I thought everything looks stock until I noticed that the baseband was still on UCLF5. Did I flash the wrong stock odin?

Hi
I need to send my phone (GS3 i9300) back to samsung due to it freezing frequently. I had a flash count of 5 and I managed to reset it back to 0 using Triangle away with a custom rom (hydra) installed. I also use TWRP as a custom recovery
I then flashed back to the stock ROM to find that in download mode the counter was now 1.
Can anyone give me an ideas about keeping it at 0 after flashing stock ROM.
Thanks
I had this I flashed the old ICS bootloader xxblfb though cwm easy to find think its in original development

Thanks for your fast reply.
I'm past the beginner stage but I'm still a novice.
Could you explain more detail.
Does this fix my freezing problem or my flash count.
Also ive not flashed a bootloader yet, what does it do?
Thanks
it fixes the flash counter and it in general downgrade boot loader here's the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083860
Also if yo have custom recovery or kernel on new boot loader it will always trip flash counter after reboot
Thanks. I'll take a look.
So I have a Galaxy S3 i747(at&t) rooted and with an unlocked bootloader. Currently running Cyanogenmod with TWRP recovery.
I'm trying to downgrade back to Touchwiz for the purposes of using an unlock code that AT&T provided me with (apparently it doesn't work with AOSP roms). Any chance I could safely use TWRP to flash the stock rom, and then use TWRP to flash Cyanogenmod back right after?
I've read from here and there that flashing the stock room with an unlocked bootloader and/or flashing the stock room NOT using Odin could brick the phone, etc etc.
Sorry if this question has been answered quite a few times, I've seen quite a few different answers regarding this floating around.
Cheers
You must flash stock ROM via Odin
After root again and flash custom recovery

Guess there is no way to NOT use Odin :/
Do I have to relock the bootloader/unroot the phone before I flash with Odin? Also, will it put the phone back to Stock Recovery or can I keep TWRP?
And one last thing before I go through with this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2388065
Is this^ a possible way to go back to stock without going through Odin and losing everything? (Remember, I'm just trying to get to a TW based rom so I can use the unlock code). And if so, can I just flash that rom with TWRP?
I dont think that would be possible. ...u have to use odin
Try and backup your data before u do ..if it helps
Your phone may end up in bootloop if u try with twrp

Via TWRP you are able to flash backup of stock ROM. If you have it
Odesláno pomocí Ťama Ťunga

Flash stock firmware (you can get it from sammobile) with odin to go back to stock recovery and unrooted but this won't reset knox count...i don't think there is a way to reset knox.
