I just got my SG3 last Saturday with Iusacell (Mexico) and forgot to make a backup before root and installing some roms and mods. Now i want to restore the original rom from Iusacell but haven't been able to find it online yet.
Does anyone has the original Iusacell stock rom?

Yeah dose where my first tries and sammobile was where I found the Telcel one, but the SG3 was just released on Iusacell last Saturday so i guess is still a little to early to be found on the regular sites, that's why I'm asking here.

I need the stock rom itself, I think I might have a hardware problem and if that's correct I will need to reflash the stock rom to send my phone back to warranty, for obvious reasons I can not send a Telcel flashed phone to Iusacell hehe

that would be definetely funny xD
did you try kies? also you can just flash a diff boot animation for the phone and send it back, trust me ppl at their tech support don't know anything about this
edit: I sent my old 03d to telcel with a euro firmware
Tried kies but I had no luck, I'm gonna wait a few more days to see if the problem persists and to see if the ROM is released, and as you said worst case scenario I'll be sending my phone with an unbranded stock ROM and hope for the best haha

You would need to root the phone and then use a mod or an app for unlocking your phone, you can do this without the need of flashing another ROM, I believe I saw an app for unlocking the S3 on the market just look for s3 simunlock. Just remember you need to root your phone first. Also there is a toolkit for flashing the s3 on the forums and the option to simunlock is there too.

You can find them here: http://androidmx.net/2012/08/roms-originales-telcel-iusacell-y-movistar-para-sgsiii-i9300/
I have a local backup, so if the links don't work, just let me know and I'll host them myself.

Hello, I would like to know if there's someone that has the carrier branded ROM for Movistar (Peru). My galaxy's vibrator stopped working so I need to claim its warranty.
I know Infratech might get it, but since I have less than 10 posts I can't ask for it in the Original Development Forum where his "carrier branded roms" post is located...
But if anyone got it please let me know,
Thanks in advance.
Also, after rebranding the phone and using the jig to reset the custom firmware counter the phone should be ready to take if back the dealer right?

You should be able to use the one from Argentina (UHKG7) just fine. Looks like it's the same version as the latest one for Peru.
Carrier branded firmware here & country specific non-branded firmware here, or if you're after the latest firmware for your carrier/phone/country try Checkfus (search for it on here).
Thanks MistahBungle, but the one I'm looking for is not listed there, and I cannot request it there because I still have less than 10 posts, I'll try to get to it without making nonsense posts.

I think my phone actually came with KE5, and I think there was no Kies update ever for my Carrier-Country combination, so wouldn't that be a problem and let them know I have been flashing it?

In that case, use the one from Columbia, which is UHKE5. It's also the closest listed country for Movistar to Peru geographically anyways, so it's probably from the same batch.

Cool, I tried with checkfus and found there's a newer firmware,
This is how I got my phone:
Product Code: GT-I9100LKLSAM
Phone Version: I9100UHKE3
PDA Version: I9100UHKE5
CSC Version: I9100SAMKE2
and it says the latest firmware for SAM is:
PDA: I9100UHKG7
CSC: I9100SAMKG1
Phone: I9100UHKG4
I can't download CheckFus to download it because the sites tells me that no hotlinking is permitted and keeps sending me back to the homepage, so I'll search for CheckFus elsewere and try to get that firmware.
Ok, it is downloading right now, thanks for your help, after it finishes I'll flash it and use the jig to reset the counter, as far as I know it will be ready to take it back,
Any recomendations for making a backup of my phone as it is right now? Thanks again.

The only reason you'd need the stock kernel is if you needed to flash it back for some reason. For example, you flashed an insecure kernel to root the phone, or flashed a custom kernel. But then you wanted to flash the stock kernel back.
Otherwise, you don't really need it. The stock firmware has the stock kernel packaged inside of it.

grrrr why is this so hard... i cant even extract the firmware because the password is incorrect, i'm going to go bald before my time at this rate lol
when i click on the links to download from multiupload it either downloads i-livid or directs me to deposit files and i get the message "This file does not exist, the access to the following file is limited or it has been removed due to infringement of copyright. "
all i need is the official stock for S2 locked to orange UK, an insecure kernal to root the phone, unlock it, then put the secure kernal back.... it sounds so simple but it's proven not the case

Where did you download the firmware from? They should have supplied a password with on the download page. Alternatively, you can look on sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com. I was able to find BVKJ4 on both those sites.

Why are you downgrading to GB to do a SIM unlock?
A quick Google search for "i9100 unlock sim" yielded:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1507472
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360174
and many, many more pages. None of them say to downgrade to GB.
EDIT to add: in fact, there are two apps for SIM unlocking the Galaxy SII on the Play Store: one from Chainfire, and one from Helroz. Both are free.

I have tried both of those apps and both failed, phone was rooted with ICS but the codes weren't found, as i have failed to unlock it myself i took it to two different shops to unlock, both failed to unlock my phone and suggested that i should downgrade back to GB and try again to see if it works, tbh i really dont know what to do next which is why i thought i'd try to unlock from GB.
like i said i really have no idea what to do next so any tips would be great, thanks

Hi all
How should I flash the OTA flash files downloaded from Samfirmware?? Should I use ADB?? If yes, can anyone tell me the commands??
I normally flash phones with SPT/RIFF box, so I am a bit rusty in ADB
Kind regards
I'd say use Odin. But just to be sure, Check the stickies in the general forum. Use the search if not sure.

If you are talking about OTA and not the full firmware..it has to be flashed in stock recovery...first make sure you have the correct firmware version on your phone..the firmware version required will be given alongside the OTA on samfirmware..now move the OTA to your sdcard..reboot into stock recovery..use vol up+power+home buttons..then choose install update from there..
I need to do this. I'll do a Titanium Backup before, but should I expect all my content, apps, preferences and all that to be intact after the procedure (presuming everything goes the way it should)?
Edit: Also, why can't I see an option for United States in the drop-down menu when narrowing down my device? Should I use some other country?

And do you know what this ota files are used for? I've an S5830 from Vodafone(Spain) and I want to get it back to the original firm (you know, operator apps and some more innecesary ****), but I'm unable to find one on the internet.
Looking at www.samfirmware.com, the only thing I've seen about my device and Vodafone is the OTA file i'm talking about, but I'm not pretty sure if flashing it will let my phone in factory defaults.

Hi
I need stock rom, Three (3) Sweden.
I would like to downgrade but I don't think you can do that from 4.3 right?
Found a link to one version but link was broken.
Problem is that I removed the provider lock a long time ago. But for some reason it came back when I upgraded to 4.3.
Then I bought a sim unlock code from my provider but that won't work now. Probably cause the stock rom I use now is international.
Any tips?

You need to quote the original poster not me.
Also don't go giving the post when you don't understand it.
Read up on pit files and why they are a last resort. Theres a reason its called rescue or emergency firmware. Only used when the phone is soft bricked and all else has failed.

Thanks. Yes it's Tre. But as I understand it I will brick my phone if I try to downgrade from 4.3 so I'll probably just stick to 4.3 unless you know something I don't?
Anyhow, I think I will have to have the shop fix it. I managed to find the stock rom now and reflashed it but the unlock code I got from them still don't work. So I don't see any other option, I need to have it unlocked and I allready paid for it.
Thanks anyhow.

Helo everybody,
Im stuck a bit with update. I have downloaded the 5.0.2 android for my phone from sammobile but unfortunately odin always fail with the firmwares.
The only thing what i can do is installing back my old firmware, Otherwise not even kies could recognise my phone.
Is there a reason why its now allowing me to update it?
My current android is G850FXXU2BNK3_G850FOJV2BNK5_TUN
And i have tried G850FXXU2COI3_G850FNEE2COI1_NEE (This is for nordic countried...5.0.2)
and also tried G850FXXU2COE4_G850FH3G2COE1_H3G(This is for GB and H3G service provider)
Unfortunately both failed at the end.
I have tried the usual troubleshooting which was described here, but i think i just cannot find the proper 5.0.2 android for my phone.
Is it important which country i choose?
I bought the phone on ebay a year ago, made in Vietname, and the csc is TUN.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Thank you.
Same with French xef?
Any specufic branding?

Thank you.

Helo. Sorry im quite noobish with this particular topic. What does xef means? Do you mean have i tried with any French firmware?
No it is just a simple sm-g850f (Tun).
I have put back the tunesian (original) firmware and it works like a charm now again....but still no luck with 5.0.2
