I found a rom on this forum I want to try out, but it does not explicitly say it is for the Rezound.
However according to this site, http://tips4droid.com/top-5-custom-rom-for-htc-rezound/ , the rom is compatibile.
The Rom that was listed can be located here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964841
and is about halfway down the page, 7.0.4.
Has anyone tried this Rom on the Rezound with success?
If not this Rom then which did you have success with?
I have already done the following:
Unlock Bootloader
Install Amon Ra -> SuperUser and su
nandroid backup (deleted after reading about a problem with restoring S-ON)
S-OFF (the method is a pain, but it does work)
nandroid backup
tested nandroid backup (worked flawlessly)
So now I am looking to get Android Revolution HD running as it has stock UI and improvements.
I'm fairly certain that this is not a Rezound ROM.

I was reading somewhere that four htc models use the same GB version, and with this being sensation, which I have held in my hand and looked through, case is almost the same and the OS was similar so I am not sure if I should just try it and see or not.
What is the worst that could happen?
I have a nandroid to restore if I get into trouble, but I am still worried I may need a Stock Rom to restore that to...
Edit:

There's a whole list of roms in the dev section that work fine on the Rezound.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425091
The worst that could happen is you brick your phone.
Be warned that GB development for the most part is dead now, CleanRom 1.7.5 and Ineffabilis 1.4 are good GB options though.
Cleanrom looks right and sounds lightweight, but the other has my attention with the extras, have you had experience with both?
Bricking is my first concern, not being able to restore stock Rom my second...
I would go with 4.0 or 4.1, but I like how the lockscreen and phone key UI look on the stock Rom and themes do not look as good...

I've used them both and they are both solid roms, I'd have to go with Ineffabilis as my favorite of the two.
Neither one is really supported any though, Scott who made CleanRom went to another phone, Chingy who made Ineffabilis is now supporting a ICS based version of the rom - Ineffabilis Deus. That's the one I currently use.
How does the UI look, is it the same as the stock as far as lock and home screen phone, button?

The GB ones are Sense 3.5 based so they look like a standard Sense 3.5 UI.

It sounds like you're still on the older GB firmware, if you do decide to install an ICS based rom, install the patch in this thread right afterwards - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614180
That one seems cool, but the thing that got me to buy this phone was the sense look on the home screen three buttons, drawer, phone, personalize lol.

The patch is small, only updates one file. The rom can be found in the link I posted to themikmik.com.

Just make sure you have a nandroid back up and you wipe all the internal filesystems before installing. If you don't like it, it's easy to wipe again and just restore your original rom. One of the great things about nandroid, it lets you try out different roms and easily revert back.
That's what I was hoping, all I backed up after I got s-off were the default items, so basically my stock Rom is safely backed up on my pc now?
Also when connected to a computer I have the same option of disk drive?

If you're s-off, the rom installer should have installed a new kernel for you. If you're familiar with fastboot, you can extract the boot.img from the rom file and flash it.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Otherwise, try installing the rom again.

Try reflashing Clockwork recovery by following the instructions in this thread. It sounds like your recovery got screwed up or wiped out somehow. Use version 5.0.2.1. I think the version 5 issues are fixed in that one. If you still have issues try using one of the version 4.x ones.

I want to dual boot on my rezound. However, what Im unsure about is if it is possible to do if the two roms require different kernels. For example if I ran a Gb rom which needs a gb kernel, and then tried to dual boot with a ics rom that needs a ics kernel. Is this possible?
I too am wondering this. I was gonna make a nand of a GB Rom and one of an ICS Rom and switch between them

I think it can be done. I am actually working on it now.
At first I was like "Uh..why would you want to do that?" but then thinking of how many times I have reinstalled BAMF (4) and tried new ROMS on top of that (4)....
That's a nice idea. I don't see it happening. But a nice idea all the same.

Would the nand idea work since the amon recovery allows you to backup the kernel as well? Just as long as you wipe data when switching between the nands?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
The reason I wanted to do it was because I wanted to be able to toy with the sense 4 roms that are unstable, without having to wipe data install the rom then have to switch back and redo my whole setup since they aren't stable. If we had dual booting the wiping data and resetting can be avoided and I can continue to check the sense 4 roms with ease.

I was like you over a month ago. I've came from a heavily custom original Droid, to a Droid X2 to now the Rezound. The HTC method is really different, my recommendation would be to flash TwiZted SenZes. wildtang gives full instructions on what to do and they're very clear. Also his official website AndroidPassions.com features a "The Box" where you can chat live with developers and he'll help you most of the time if he's in. Please note that if you flash the new firmware to run ICS ROMs, you can't revert back to using Gingerbread ROM from what I hear. But ICS Roms are highly stable now since the last leak we had of an official Rezound leak. If you have any questions please ask...

Wrong section, should only be posting threads here if you are a dev.
The current ICS leaks are nice, really can't recommend them until HTC fixes the kernel issues though. Of course everyone results vary.
I wouldn't flash the leaked ICS RUU either, there are work arounds for the most popular ROMs now.
Check out the list of ROMs at the top of this forum for ideas and post any questions in the Q&A section or the ROM thread if it's specific to that ROM.

I will try to save you some headaches. Make sure you use amon ra recovery. Do not use clockworkmod as many people have issues and if you let the battery die while cwm is installed you will have to find a new way to charge that battery or buy a new one. I have been a big fan of Scott's clean roms. It is mostly stock sense just cleaned up and smooth. Some of the others are a bit more themed to that developers liking. Scott has good instructions on his website. And make sure you read then reread the original post so you understand what to do, what works, and what may not work. Scotts clean Rom 4.3 is a great place to start and included is the patch for the old firmware. Then flash some of the others to see what you prefer. I am currently running BAMF sense 4.0 and it runs great but there are still some bugs to be worked out. You will pick it up quick as long as you read instructions first. Like someone else said ask if you have problems but just in the right forum. Happy flashing!

I love having the number in the battery icon. I saves me real estate on my screen by not having to install a 3rd party widget to tell me whats left. Anyway, look through the themes and app section but this may be the only person working on what your looking for. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551602 at the bottom of the OP you will see "To go back to the stock look for CleanROM 4.3. Flash this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12286815/Cle...Flyhalf205.zip ". Not sure if it has the number in the icon. This is not my work all credit to flyhalf205 and who_mike_d so hit up some of their threads and give some thanks. This is only for CleanRom 4.3. If your on a different version you can find some older post if you look around.
CleanROM 4.3 has been rock solid for me, no issues at all. I didn't like the battery either so I flashed it with a battery mod found here:

Finally broke down and bought this app. Price tag is a little high considering you can get all the separate applications free, but not all under one roof. But that brings me to my question.
Have you or anyone else you heard of had issues with any of the programs in rom toolbox? Ad blocker has been a little inconsistent for me. Know he has been working on it though.
Does the boot screen changer work? Had any issues with font changer? Just want to know before I run into the same thing. Some of it is a little dangerous to run without being optimized for the phone. Especially the EVO LTE.
Any info would be appreciated. Please share any positive / negative effects you've had. Thanks!
It all works for me.. Some things such as the status bar icon installer might look a little goofy on Sense ROMs(I'm on cyanogemmod so I haven't tried it) but everything else should work. Its all mostly fundamental android tools that should work on any phone, EVO, GS3, or otherwise.

Which ROM are you running? I haven't tried it on a Sense ROM so I can't say for sure but that's all I can think of that might interfere with it. The tool basically just takes the animation and puts it into the right folder in the root of your phone.
I know on my old Hero it was stored a little different on some ROMs so that some boot animations with sounds and stuff caused issues.
Point is, its probably ROM based, not hboot related.
Edit: If you check the boot animation installer settings you can change the target of where its installing the animation. If you can find out where its installed on your ROM there's no reason for it not to work as long as you're rooted.
Edit#2: If on a sense ROM change the destination to /system/customize/resource/
And then change from bootanimation.zip to *scratch that, read post below for the right .zip name*
No guarantees it'll work but it looks like that's where its stored on a Stock w Goodies ROM I have on my SD card. I took the bootanimation from it and installed it on my paranoid android ROM and it worked so it should work the other way around.

I bought it yesterday myself. It's an awesome app, but boot animations don't work for me either, most likely due to a prerequisite of being S-OFF?

Boot animations just require root, and you have to tell rom toolbox the path/filename of the boot animation zip that the rom is looking for.
For sense-based roms on evo lte, that is
/system/customize/resource/SPC_bootanimation.zip
That filename is actually mutable. It's defined in /system/customize/CID/default.xml
So go into rom toolbox, boot animations. Then hit menu, Install Locations.
Common locations: "HTC EVO 4G"
That loads the other two settings with defaults that are closest to correct. Directory is correct, and you only have to modify the filename slightly from bootanimation.zip to SPC_bootanimation.zip

Basically, rom toolbox could read the correct values right out of default.xml. I don't know why it doesn't. Maybe the path/name of default.xml itself isn't consistent on all devices or maybe he just didn't think of it yet.

I have been using this since it first came out, bought it back on my OG EVO. It has been loads of help, and is nice to have everything under one hood.
