Hi guys,
I just noticed this feature is lost in ICS, has anyone found a way to set music as you're alarm tone??
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
Make a new alarm profile and hit the music note up on the top right when in the alarm tone section.
Ps: there's a Q&A section.

Dammit! I was on my phone, and only just realised that this is posted in the wrong area, please feel free to move it!
I did what you said and no music note came up when I went in to create.
make a folder on the root of your internal storage called "alarms" and put them in there

Make sure you choose sound picker when it gives you the option for what you would like to use to pick the sound. Rather than android system.

This is a WP7 music player clone made by the developer of LauncherPro. This app is exactly like the one found on WP7. This app is not my work and I am simply posting this for other users to enjoy.
Note: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE.
Enjoy.
Latest Release: Aplha-5
Changelog:
http://launcherpro.com/music/
Alpha 5
Fixed startup force close that happened on some HTC phones.
Made the entire widget clickable, so that clicking anywhere (outside the play/pause/next buttons) will open the app.
Added the ability to delete playlists by long-pressing on a playlist and choosing "Delete".
Added an option to set the default tab to show when the application is started.
New option to use a custom status bar instead of the system status bar. Touch it to reveal more info (battery charge, Wifi status, signal strength, data connection). Swipe it down to open the notifications panel. Please note that due to limitations in the Android system, it's not possible to show notifications in the custom status bar or customize the notifications panel.
Well, it can play music, but I require options.
beautiful app

This is awesome. I love you. :|

1. what I like most is the large album art.
2. Needs lockscreen widget
3. Needs support for blue tooth headphone controls
4. needs audio enhancements options
The guy has another player called "better music" , the UI looks better (I think)
but doesn't do video playback
It has the lockscreen widget
still needs support for bt headphone controls and audio enhancement options
So far is working really ok but need improvements, like others said...currently using poweramp but if you got this right I will switch to this.
From my vibrant with bionix nextgen v2
I like it but I already have player pro

I did have hardstyle ringtones that I cut up but it was a little to hard for work. Now I'm using the standard "Basic Bell" phone tone and "Ta Da" notification tone. I don't get any odd looks anymore
Notification: Standard Honeycomb
Ringtone: Portal, Still Alive
Ringtone: Deus Ex Human Revolution - Main Menu Theme
Notification: a selfrecorded scene from Mass Effect 2 "commander, you have received a new message on your terminal.."

+1 to this. Forgot when the last time I changed profile to normal !
Still when I first got the phone used the Minimal Tone for some days, and in the new ROMs (KI3/KI4) it disappeared !
Am I just not seeing some setting or screen?? Seems like custom/personal ringtones should be a basic option for a phone this advanced. All i'm seeing is a list of really cheesy ones and the option to set one to a contact.

Put them in the folder Media > Audio > Notifications
Anything you put there will show up as an option when picking a ringtone.

And many let you get new ones for free. My favorite is zedge.
Also keep in mind there are programs you have to set up individually for from inside them, like google voice, plume, ect.

I've used zedge but I was hoping for just a stock way to do it. Like long press on an mp3 and select "set as ringtone"

Unfortunately no. It annoys me too that I have to put the files in the right folder for the phone to pick it up. Doesn't seem like it would be hard for android to have it as an option when you long press on a ringtone file.

Other phones have it, it's not an Android issue more of a Samsung issue.

I still use ringdroid, since I like to select specific parts of songs. Works great and puts the edited files in the correct folders.

Does anyone know of a good ring tone app that let's you edit your mp3s with affects like fading in and out and messing with the audio? Doesn't matter if it's paid or not. it doesn't have to be a ring tone app, it could be an audio app or anything that would let me cut and edit and save my creation.

i wouldnt know of an app that lets you "make" your own ring tones.. but i know rings extended or any file manager can be used to set a mp3 as a ringtone or notification... if you want to cut songs you can use mp3 ringtone factory
Ringtone maker might be what you're looking for.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for an app or a mod that does these two things:
1) after that my notification sounds is played (ie. bacause a message has arrived) i don't want to hear other notifications for the following 30s (obviously the time period can be changed)
2) when my screen is on i don't want to hear sounds of any notification but I want only to see the icon in the notification bar.
Do you know something that can do these two things or only one of them?
Thank you

Slimrom (not sure about others since i didn't use them) does what you want for the 1st one. "Settings, Interface, Sound, Less frequent notification sounds" is just that. And allows you to set up a period of time where the phone doesn't play any sound after recieving a notification.
As for the second one, not sure. Maybe tasker can do it, it's very flexible.
Thank you!! tasker works very well!!
I managed to create both the features that i need! But i won't use the first because of the bug "folder open/closed" and the bug with the stock swype keyboard related to the accessibility!
