With the tablet powered off (not sleep mode), momentarily pressing its POWER button while holding its VOL- button through the tablet's entire boot process will cause the tablet to boot into a "Safe Mode".
I have not yet determine what purpose the mode serves.

SAFE MODE - XPERIA™ PLAY BY SONY ERICSSON
Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this troubleshooting step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue. Safe Mode should always be performed prior to a hard (factory) reset.

Thanks, Stifilz. That is what I have read and understood Android's safe mode's purpose was. I just have not seen my Sony tablet's safe mode do what Android's safe mode is suppose to do. From my experience, my Sony tablet's safe mode does not disable third-party apps.

Safe mode really can be a problem, the apps in the app draw is not there but if you made shortcuts of them you can access the apps, Google+ widget force closed, all widgets have been removed even if you come back to normal mode.

Got safe mode in sony android phone, I also open it before...
Safe mode is actually used to remove the app/files, that caused bootloops in your system.
However, I was not aware of it being possible on 2011 Xperia devices.
Seems like it is possible, but we do not know, how to access it as it is not widely used on Android phones, because it is not needed, we got very easily accessible recovery that can do quite a lot.
So if there is a safe mode, how can we get there?

The model of walkie is runbo x3, it is a china mobile and is possible buy in aliexpress.

Jump now
I've had one for a week now, I can really recommend this phone for anyone who needs a rugged phone with up-to-date features. I even wash it daily without turning it off
Short pros and cons:
+good display with adequate brightness
+very loud speaker
+fm radio works without headset +(walkietalkie antenna required)
+HUGE battery, with my other phones I'm out of battery before evening, this lasts -over two days
+good camera
+very nice keypad
+doesn't weigh as much as it looks (300grams)
+dual standby sim works great
+hasn't crashed yet (haven't even turned it off for a week)
-needs a big pocket
-android keys get accidentally touched when using touchscreen
-usb port behind cumbersome door
-earpiece is very selective, needs to be placed accurately, otherwise good
-no focus action on camera button (hard to take pics in tight and dark places)
That's my 5cents
/VM
Well I made the jump and I am loving the runbo x3.
Runbo x3

Wondering if there is a stock recovery mode for the P769. I know there's a recovery partition but I'm not sure if you can get an HBoot menu. I held down Power and Volume Down from a powered off state, but it simply displayed the LG logo, vibrated, and then powered off. I've also read that there is a button combination to do a Hard Reset. Anyways, I'm wondering if doing this
Code:
adb reboot recovery
would get an HBoot menu, simply turn off, or do a hard reset. Also, if that command gets to HBoot then what button combination can you do to get to it?
Do u mean CWM recovery? Its here

I think he means the stock recovery that comes with the phone, as for the button combination, I dunno. holding the down button while powering on the phone always sent me into safe mode.
I can get into recovery mode by holding Vol Up + Home + Power
The screen say that this mode is use in LG service center to backup data. When phone connect to computer it show 2 removable drive but cannot access it. No use for me.
If you want to reboot your phone just hold power button for 10 seconds it'll shutdown. Then you can power on again.
Edit: Shutdown by holding power button 10 seconds not 10 minutes.

I don't know what we can do in this stock recovery mode. I can pull files from some directory via adb pull, but cannot use adb shell.
After this I just reboot my phone with adb reboot
LG stock recovery is limit. Samsung stock recovery allow me to flash some zip.
This is the same thing I get....

you're stuck in safe mode because your volume down don't work and the answer is no you can't
the purpose of safe-mode is exactly that no user apps are opened. It's not a mode you should permanently operate in
you should repair your phone

Attached is an image I took of my wife's phone after putting her case back on.
Now, since I work in Frontend Web Development | Design & part-time Penetration Testing, she assumes I will know.
I have never seen this before. I have UTFSE and to no avail. I also am working hard on deploying this React.js web app, and I cannot figure out what the heck this is.
I did restart the phone in safe mode, then restarted back to normal. Everything is fine, failing to understand what this is and what happened.
I was hoping smarter people with Android would know this better than I did.
Samsung Galaxy S20
Carrier: Google Fi
Plan: Simply Unlimited
Bought: About 5 months ago, completely unlocked from Samsung, same with my S21 Ultra 5G 256GB.
Developer Options Enabled, only for USB Debugging, which I turned off because we never sideload apk's onto her phone.
When she put on her weird and overly complicated case, did she possibly press some button combinations that caused this odd bootloader sequence? Or what the heck is it? Never seen it, and it only says information about the bootloader. I am failing to understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone.

There are basically four modes to android phones
System - normal everyday operation
Safe mode - normal everyday operation - Doesn't load 3rd party apps ie: apps from playstore etc. Usually pressing vol down key while phone is starting.
Recovery Mode - for clearing system cache, format etc. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when starting the phone.
Download ( Odin ) Mode - Used for flashing Samsung firmware through PC app called Odin. This mode is entered by pressing certain keys on your phone when restarting the phone or using recovery mode.
From your screen shot you have entered into to 'download mode'. Press and hold the keys on the display to reboot back into system ( volume down + power buttons ) or recovery, safe or download mode again.
How to Boot Your Galaxy S20 into Recovery Mode or Download Mode
Recovery mode and download mode are useful for modding and they can come in handy in a pinch. Booting into recovery mode to do a factory reset or wipe cache fan save your Galaxy S20 from a soft brick, and entering download mode lets you install firmware with utilities like Odin and Smart Switch.
