I notice the forum is being split.
Is there an ETA when this will be completed and access to the development section returned?
I was going to ask the same thing.
You can still access the individual carrier forums if you have their links. The split is probably a high priority but it takes time.

Do you happen to have the link for Sprint?
edit: found it with a google search, thanks for the tip!

I do not have the Sprint links, but if anyone comes here looking for Verizon:
Original development here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1692
Regular development here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1672
I'm trying to figure out where the accessories section went...
ATT : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1633
TMO: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1706
VZ: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1708
Sprint : http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1707
Edit: For the VZ link make sure your url ends with 1708 after you click it!
Wow, that's really silly. So even though 99% of accessories and apps are the same for each carrier, we'll have discussions about the same thing in 4 different forums?

It's definitely a good idea to split out the Dev sub-forums since flashing a rom for a different variant can cause problems. But yeah, hopefully they leave the accessories, and maybe the other ones together.

All U.S. accessories threads now link to the international accessories thread.
What was even more confusing was having eight development forums (an original and a current?). Now, they are nowhere to be found. Hope it gets sorted soon. What a cluster f

Okay I am speaking mainly to Developers/Devs here
To get all the information on this issue please visit my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421341
I know this may not be in the right place to post, but I have had no luck after over two months of my thread being replied to and also being all over the internet (Droidlife, GSMARENA, phandroid etc...) so I'm trying to spread the word to ftully Fix/Solve the SMS/texting issue (Not being able to send texts) so the HTC Rezound can be a fully global phone
The suggested possible causes of the issue are either a Radio related problem, which would require porting/making a hybrid radio and also S-OFF. But the main one I am thinking sounds more worth trying for is the suggestion that the Framework is incorrect/needs a bit of tweaking and this would allow the HTC Rezound to send texts/SMS on GSM and/or HSPA networks (I use HSPA)
So please could someone willing look into this and try and fix/solve as this would be very beneficial to us all (being able to use this phone abroad/on holiday for example )
Also some people, including me, cannot connect to DATA/3G without a method which makes it 'kick in', so if this issue was also looked at it would be Great!!!

Buddy, this isn't the right forum for this thread. I assume everyone who cares about this issue has seen your thread in the general forum. This is a Verizon phone. 99.9% of the people who own this phone are Verizon customers. There are very few people who care about this issue enough to do something about it. It is very unlikely that we are going to get S-Off as we can flash roms/kernels with what we have. Plus, the work that it would take to develop a hybrid radio would probably be significant.
That said. If everything except SMS works, how about just using email to SMS your friends or a free texting app? Yes, it is not ideal, but this phone is not meant to be used over anything aside from CDMA, EvDo, and LTE.

So what you're saying, Con, is that he in fact doesn't rule as his screen name would suggest? Hmm. My world...tumbling.
And to the OP, will Google Talk work overseas? Wouldn't that be the best way since SMS doesn't work? Just a thought.

basically lol... The people who use this to the hours spent making this happen ratio would be so low it wouldn't even be funny.
Okay guys
See when I ask nicely for people willing to help, I don't expect to see people telling me why it wouldn't work or people trying to be funny? And
And I said in the post if you read properly that the possible fix I would suggest Dev's to work on would be the Framework, NOT THE RADIO PROBLEM AS WE DON'T HAVE S-OFF
And this is XDA-Developers, the place where issues no matter how small can be solved
I will ignore this and say to everyone unless its helpful/Nice ,don't post

Google Talk is available outside of the USA, I know this because there are devs and mods that I converse with using talk that live outside the states.
Also, this is in the wrong place, moving to general.

Why is there 3 threads about ICS source code on the first page? Especially when 2 are labeled wrong and don't day they are for int'l note. It seems like whenever there is any new news for our phone this ALWAYS happens and I just don't get it. When you type in a post name, it shows other post with similar names. From there it takes 2-3 seconds to look through the 5 similar post to see if yours would be a duplicate. What's even worse is people continue to reply to these in different threads which keep them all up on the first page instead of letting the duplicates die. Its gotten to the point where I don't want to look up the note forums as much.

Sometimes people make mistakes and post information not knowing its already been posted cause they do not read the forums but most of the time people wanna be the first to share news. It gets on my nerves too but if they are getting satisfaction out of making a post and its doing nothing to hurt anyone they should have the right to make a post. Whats worse is people complaining about other peoples post. If there are multiple post about the same thing then by the time you read two you should know whats up and move on. You are complaining about them taking up space but you and I are doing the same thing right now just in a different way and I am sure that someone else will get upset about yhis thread too cause its meaningless.

That is a totally different scenario and doesn't relate. All I'm asking for is a little forum organization and people checking before they post new topics. It is a buil in tool by xda so you don't have to do any work and don't have to be a regular to see a similar topic has already been posted. You guys can go on trying to bash, I really don't care, just think a little clean up of the forums is a good thing

And this is different how? I have mistakenly posted repeat threads, and it is out of excitement, but you had to know that as you were typing this, that you were in fact creating a similar situation... It almost seems like trolling on a larger scale because you knew ppl would reply with the same replies that came to all those other threads.
Every once in a while, a post comes from one of those repeat threads that makes a valid contribution to our community.
Unless you support XDA monetarily, you dont have a say about wasted space, and if you do support, you still dont have a choice. Your opinion at that point will matter(to you) but unless you get a ban hammer, you cant do anything about it EXCEPT NOT POSTING MORE JUNK.
No Offense.
It's like those emails sent to the whole company's Email list. And then somebody will be so dumb to reply all denouncing sender for sending/replying Email to all.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
As it is nothing to get excited about (but sometimes I do) the mods need to step up and simply remove these threads. I have seen them and so has everyone else. A mod needs to remove them? They do not pertain to anything dealing with the I717 and do not belong on this forum. If you want to help the forum, then report threads that do not belong on here.

The first place I went was my list of threads.
The thread in question was removed - there's no sign of it.
I went and pulled up an email alert that someone responded to my thread. In that email is a link. The link is broken.
Moderators? Why pull down a positive thread about the G2??
Here's my post that was taken down. Someone point out what's wrong with this post....
I've been an Android fanatic from the start, and came to the G2 in early November 2013 from a totally tweaked-out Galaxy Nexus. I don't want to admit the time I spent over the years with custom ROM"s, custom kernels and endless tweaks.
Enter the G2.
I keep this phone bone stock - never considered rooting it. I have to say that it's been a pure joy to own and use. I was a bit frazzled with the early "erratic touch" issues with the screen, but VZW/LG addressed that for my G2 in an update.
I find the phone to be fast as hell, the screen is nothing short of gorgeous, call quality is excellent, the overall phone design is beautiful, and I actually like - and count on - some of the LG included apps. The battery life is unbelievable, which is especially remarkable given the size of the screen.
So, for me, the G2 is a breath of fresh air after years of futzing with Android phones. IMO, it's an amazing phone that continues to be a blast to use without any of the downsides of my previous Android phones.
Had to share some G2 love.
It was probably pulled because it was pointless drivel.
