Hello again.
I tried to reinstall my phone, so I used Rage Kernel and this ROM, but when I turn on the phone, it shows first Sony logo, then Sony Ericsson logo and it's all, then it restarts.
I will be very glad for every help. Thanks

If the sony logo is showing then chances are that your kernel has not been replaced. Upon a successful kernel replacement the logo which comes on the splash screen is usually the one the developer has made for the kernel. Try reinstalling the kernel or try using a new one. Also make sure you are installing the kernel correctly. Flashtool is a very simple and effective way if doing the same.
with kernel you have to install custom rom other wise your device will keep restarting and also after flashing kernel try factory reset and cache wipe in cwm and then flash the rom

Please tell me what firmware is your phone right now??? remember firmware is important before you start flashing....you cannot flash Custom ICS Rom while you phone is using GB...it will brick your phone....

As far as i know when Sony Logo appear, that show that you are on ICS Rom...Since He said that the Sony Ericsson logo appear next i believe he flash Custom ICS Rom into GB cause if ICS, after Sony Logo it must be Xperia (bootanimation)....Rage And KrsH kernel have Sony name on it...Mesa kernel has Sony Ericsson name on it...

While flashing the ROM, did you selected "Exclude Kernel" in Flashtool?

The error is probably with the rom and not with the kernel, because with the stock rom works perfectly...
After flashing this kernel my neo v gets rooted on .62 stock ROM ....
but will this rooted ROM work if i change the kernel to something else like nightelf stock kernel .... ???
or have anyone tested it yet ???
let me know ....

Root privileges are integrated in this kernel. So you will not stay rooted almost for sure, if you flash another kernel which is not prerooted...

You will be able to update normally to ICS using PC companion, but to be ablolutely sure, you better relock your bootloader before the update...
@bbooff: few days ago I flashed ICS beta from sony page, and I used your kernel for hot boot just so I can install zip with superuser stuff.
Today I flashed stock .62fw, and wanted to hot boot with your kernel, but no luck, I needed to flash it in order to boot into CWM.
You got any idea why id did cooperate on ICS and not on clean .62
Also I couldn't do factory reset while I was using your kernel. I guess that is kinda normal as it's not stock kernel, but still I thought it should work

I have no idea!
The opposite is what should had happened.
I think that if you reinstall 0.62 (using flashtool and not wotan) and then my kernel, everything will be o.k.
If you install a custom kernel, you can do a factory reset through the cwm menu.

Actually I did used flashtool.
After I flash your kernel I can enter cwm. problem is if I try hot boot it.
and about factory reset, I know we can do it via recovery, but is it normal that we can't do it from phone?

fastboot boot boot.img
it allows you to boot with kernel without flashing it.
your kernel is very good.... simple and easy... helped me restore my phone back...
But now i am facing one more problem...
whenever I try to install any other kernel through fastboot, that kernel does not work; instead your kernel starts booting up...
Can you please throw some light on it?
Thnx

Some kernels work only with some ROMs.
CM ROMs work only with CM kernels.
Hybrom works only with stock based kernels(Rage, X Kernel).
If you want to install another custom ROM, you also need to install another kernel.
Wipe data/reset den install Kernel compatible with yur phone den install via CWM..... just get a kernel dat has CWM to save stress!
yeaaaaaaah the correct kernel and the correct rom work great together
thanks for your response

Cant you enter into flashmode????
Question
Need More details:
1)Locked or Unlocked Bootloader?
2)Which stock kernel you flashed? Downloaded from?
3)[If Locked Bootloader] Can you enter xrecovery? If can, make full wipe, clear cache partition, install new ROM via "install custom zip from SDcard.
4)[If Unlocked Bootloader] Try flash some custom Kernel for Unlocked bootloader like DooMKernel, see whether it reach recovery mode or not.
Sincerely,
whitefang
If can, pls kindly hit thanks button as an appreciation

you have flashed a kernel which is not compatible with the rom (means you maybe flashed a jb kernel on a ics rom or something like this). be sure that your kernel is for stock ics..read the first posts of the thread from the kernel you want to use.
sometimes u need a full wipe to work with new kernel

Hi guys, I'm in a deadlock situation trying to recover my Xperia Ray. It just stuck at Sony logo. I know there is a lot of topics with the same issue, I've tried all that I could and most of the instructions that I can find on the internet, but not luck.
Here is what I've done but unfortunately, none works:
1) Install Sony Update Service, select Xperia Ray and reinstall the latest firmware. [Result: Successful, but still stuck at Sony Logo]
2) Download the .ftf (I flashed almost all version, GB, JB etc) , wipe everything, and flashed using flashtool. [Result: Successfully flashed, but still stuck at Sony Logo]
3) Unlock the bootloader, using Flashtool, I flashed several custom kernel and rom combination, (Lupus, Xkernel, Ice Bean Rom, MIUI rom, Xperia HD rom). [Result: Successfully flashed the custom kernel and rom, CWM from the kernel loads fine to flash the rom, but after flashing, still stuck, this time at the kernel's logo]
4) Relock the bootloader, tried to reflash the firmware using Sony Update Service again. [Result: Successfull, but stuck at Sony logo, again]
That's it, please help me, anyone have any idea on what can I do to solve this? Is it possible that this is the hardware defect, not software?
I'll really appreciate your help.
please someone help us :'(
Even i am stuck in the same situation :'( have tried out the same steps as above :/ still no success
Please some one try to help in order to get our rays working :/
Anyone? My last resort would be to send the phone to Sony service centre and see what they can do.
guys, now im on this situation too. i have no idea what should i do next. you guys can solve it ?
