[q]1.53.0007 ics unlock problem - HTC EVO 3D

On my cell phone, there is official ICS which I have updated over OTA. While I am trying to unlock the BOOTloader lock over HTCDEV.com, I am getting an error msg like
" sending 'unlocktoken' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.156s]
writing 'unlocktoken'...
FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
finished. total time: 0.172s"
Could you please help me on this issue? Thank you in advance.

go to htcdev.com and re do the methods

follow instructions from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787426
Click thanks if i helped !!

Have you had the motherboard changed because I have the same issue and HTC said that for some reason my imei number does not match what is on their database but they are still rolling out the unlock tokens even though it will not work because of the imei number being different. They do know about the issue and they are trying to resolve it.

http://www.filefactory.com/f/4ef0ef536face67a/
and then try the htcdev again

What is the reason? Do not have the same error?

Hi,
I have the same problem. I'm on a stock ICS GSM Rom that came over OTA. My phone definitely had motherboard changed because it was malfunctioning since I've took it out of a box Have You guys found a solution?
Thanks

On sensation forums I've found a solution to unlock bootloader without the htcdev way but it only works with that model. But now I'm stuck on stock rom without possibility to root or flash any custom rom.

How to turn S-ON

Hey guys,
I was looking around at the other sub-forums trying to figure out how to turn S-ON, Relock my bootloader, and unroot the phone... was hoping someone could help.
I used DirtyRacun to turn S-OFF.
I got a replacement device and need to send the phone back to Sprint and wanted to send them a stock device.

I saw that, but as I stated, I used DirtyRacun to turn S-OFF... I guess by your reply the methods are the same.
I didn't see it state anywhere in that thread the methods are the same.
I just tried the link you posted, using the RUU method, and of course it doesn't work...

I see what I did wrong, looks like more than likely I was using the wrong HBOOT version of the RUU.
Once I get the correct one I think what the previous member linked to will work.
Thanks for the help guys!
If you go to unlimited.io and check the different methods of gaining S-Off, you'll notice that they are all linking to the same page. So the same method with work for any method.

[Q] Help me get back to T-Mobile stock everything

Hey Guys,
I purchased a phone from a friend that had the Google Play Edition ROM flashed on this Nexus One for T-Mobile USA. After re-locking the bootloader, I used the "RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_TMOUS_1.27.531.11_Radio_4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04_release_324846_signed_2.exe" file, which seemed like it was working, but failed 1/2 way in the middle. Now when I HBOOT the phone, it states TAMPERED and RELOCKED at the top w/ the following info below:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.18.3263.15
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-3.06.1700.10
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Aug 1 2013,18:48:48.0
In addition, I have also tried running the "fastboot flash zip RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_TMOUS_1.27.531.11_Radio_4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04_release_324846_signed_2.zip" command and I got the following:
target reported max download size of 1526722560 bytes
sending 'zip' (1065710 KB)...
OKAY [ 45.808s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 155.867s
Would anyone be willing to help me figure out how to get this phone back to the stock tmobile ROM/Recovery/etc? Thanks in advance!

Really? There is no way around this in any regard? Have people had any success with swapping the phone at t-mobile?

I see, thank you for the input. Are there any other custom ROMs that I could use? As of right now the phone boots straight to FastBoot. Sorry, a bit noob at this stuff.
You can flash any rom that is in the international forum. And nothing that is sprint or Verizon.

Downgrade to 4.1.2
It took some work, but I had a similar situation where I bought a HTC One with GE flashed, S-ON, HBOOT 1.54 and was able to successfully downgrade to 4.1.2 in order to get S-OFF.
Just do a Google search for HTC One Downgrade and I believe there is a RUU out there that will do it. Then just follow the instructions to get S-OFF.
Good luck.

the moderators will remove the link or close the thread.
I too had a TMO with .11 and with that version the S-Off exploit was fixed. I found several threads that were closed and / or removed when looking for a downgrade option.
But doing a google search i was able to find what i was looking for. I never did find out why it was in violation of posting rules.

The reason it was in violation is because the user who created the downgrade is a banned user.

[ROM]Original to Custom

I've spended almost the entire afternoon looking for this info and it seems everyone is just too smart and I'm too dumb or we lost kinda the "basic guide" somewere.
I've just got the phone 2 days ago and the idea was to get the Yas4 v11 installed, still dont wanna wreck the new phone and I'm trying to do things as they should.
Yas4 v11 does not need the S-ON, so I've got one thing less to think about, and that's the only thing I actually know...should I root the device? ( don't think so ) Still I think I should install a recovery right?...please gimme some basic steps and I'll wreck my mind into it, I don't really want to be a disturbance.
Whould gladly appreciate any kind of help
PS: Done it with a defy a looong time ago( still have it, still love it ) and with my ex Xperia ZL ( but only original software on the last one ) so I'm a little rusty

First of all, the rom itself is rooted so when you flash you will have root. This does not require S-OFF because it is based on stock ics. To do the procedure you have to unlock your bootloader through the htc.com website and have the fastboot drivers and files on your pc to flash the unlock code binary. There are plenty of guides showing how to do it, just a registration on the site and follow the steps to unlock it (ps: you will loose all the personal data on your phone, eg:factory reset. SD card won't be affected) After this part is done you will see ***UNLOCKED*** on the top of the bootloader of your phone, good luck

Yeah weird, you got it second hand? You could bypass the unlock from htc because of S-OFF, nevermind. So you can install any custom rom out there, remember that using any aosp rom you will loose the 3D recording (taking video/pictures). What's your hboot version? To install 4ext on your mobile you can download it here and flash it through fastboot mode. "fastboot flash recovery 4EXT_Recovery_Touch_v1.0.0.6_RC1.img" is the command. Change the recovery name to a smaller one for easier use.

So Aosp rom is equivalent to custom rom...
Whould this be allright?:
Downgrade to BL 1.49
Quote:
►►Now to downgrade bootloader to 1.49....
►►Remember that PG86IMG.zip file?
►Put it on the root of your sdcard (so don't put it inside any folder)
►Boot to Hboot->Fastboot-> bootloader
►Press BOOTLOADER button...
►Now we wait until the installation is finished... of course, press YES when it says so.
►►You're now on bootloader 1.49, S-OFFed, and with a custom recovery...
If not please explain
