Is there an app that allows you to store apps on lets say a cloud and use them only online like the kindle because I dont like waste memory on my phone.
You have 2GB to install apps on, how many apps do you need?
Keep in mind that's not the same as your ram the phone uses when it's running.

Confused :/ apps barely make a dent in your phones storage. There's no reason to want to store them on the web.

True but for example, games that require you to install game data on sd card.

If you have a 32GB SD card, then you shouldn't have to really worry about that..

I recently installed Plants vs Zombies on my phone(SD card) so it takes only 700k of phone memory but as i progressed in my game the data part kept on increasing and now its 16mb (only got 30mb left of phone space) so is there any way to move the data part to sd card???
Have you tried app2sd?

Was for free on Amazon yesterday, IIRC... See http://android.modaco.com/content/s...tore-from-outside-the-us-including-paid-apps/ if it helps, you cannot d/l anything from Amazon without credit card info even when they give it out for free. Stupid, I just tend to ignore Amazon.
Well do you know where i can get it free?

You cannot, it was DRM-infested in addition to the above hassle.

any chance i can do it without flashing custom rom?
i dont have much space on my sd card...
i'll install custom rom after getting a new card(atleast a month)
so any chance without it?
Yes if you are familiar with shell scripts and Android, otherwise just get thenew card and custom ROM

guess i'll wait for a new card..coz i'm a noob....
i didn't see any priors threads to this so i am asking is this possible i don't see any options in the app managment section and app2sd card pro didn't work do custom roms have this if so i will be rooting asap. EDIT: Looks like i have found a way around it those of you interested in moving big data to sd card, app does require root but works flawlessly in my experience so far http://market.android.com/search?q=pname:com.slf.ListglApp

It is there you may not have searched with the correct terms.
Apps2sd hasn't really worked in a while on a lot of phones. Least that I have owned.
If you flash a custom ROM you can do an SD card swap. So if you had a 32GB mem card it would become your "internal" and your 16GB would become the "external"

Though I haven't tried it yet, there are reports that directory bind works on the note 2 in a similar fashion. I hope this is true because the nand in the phone is much quicker than a card.

I can confirm that Directory Bind does work providing you're on a non-4.2 rom. Android 4.2's new multi-user feature causes Directory Bind to not properly mount apps to the external SD card.
Anyway, here's the link if you're interested. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262

meaning anthing works so assuming stock jb rooted will work fine this will solve so many problems for me as my internal is already full
And that's what chaps my hid about our devices... In my apple days I hated deleting things to make room ... android could set themselves so far apart from them with expandable storage and they don't use it as they should

exactly is this a os limitation is this somethjing possibly that some of our devs can work out in the future and do other newer devices have this issue or is it just the note 2?
I have a S4 on Verizon running CleanRom 1.6. I'm new to android so I don't know all the fancy lingo.
Here is my question, In my storage settings, it says I have 6.38gb in "system software" I feel like there is a lot of unwanted samsung/verizon app data in there. Is there a way to clean up the phone to get some of the storage back? plus is it normal to be running 700mb of ram all the time with a custom rom.
Thanks and sorry If this is a noob question, I searched, I promise
nope, i have the same thing in the exact same amount. i asked this question the other day... i have 9gb free though, and my sd card, so i am not worried about space, and the phone runs fast as hell.
It just seems odd there is that much space there, I had that much with touchwiz, is there some big apps taking the space up? I dont use that many Samsung/VZW apps.
Thanks, Glad I'm not the only one

That space is allocated. Regardless of the apps installed, it is the size of the partition.

I love this monster mate!
It took a while to get going with the whole new process of rooting, etc but Lord Manhattan guided me through the process!
I am on a stock rom with many apps removed and this thing is so smooth and fast that I dont even miss custom roms to be honest.
Not saying I wont do it when they are out and more stable but it is just too good already.
I do miss the Spen options and the flash (for flashlight usage) but now I feel like I use the phone more than spending the time flashing roms to make it faster (specially for Mame Reloaded).
Funny that some emulators are actually slower now like FPSE but I am sure they will figure out how to take advantage of the extra power and differences with Adreno.
Regards!

I have an external SD card that I keep the latest version on, and move the old versions to my PC and keep them there until I get rid of the device. If my ROM devs come out with a new version, I download it to my PC, check the MD5 to make sure it downloaded correctly and then after it runs cleanly for a week or so with no major issues I move it to my phone and install it. Then after it runs cleanly on my phone for a week or so I move my backup of the old ROM and Nandroid I did before loading the new ROM, to my PC for as long as I feel it's necessary. I'll eventually delete them from my PC when they get real old and I'm sure I won't want to use them again. But I do keep a backup of the original software the phone came with or anything else I think is significant.
Anyway, that's what I do but I'm old and anal about this kind of stuff. If you talk to 100 people about this you will get 100 different responses.
Good Luck!
If I've helped, please hit the thanks button.
I do just about the same as the guy above me. I'll move older backups to a computer so I'm not filling my internal/external storage. I generally keep one back up on my external as well as Roms I have downloaded. It would be less time consuming to move files with a computer than downloading what you need. Tw backups are larger than the ROM itself in my experience.
I don't have a computer all I have is my Gs5 to use to do this with?what storage apps do you guys mostly prefer to download ROMs,apps, pics, etc to Google drive, mega,Dropbox, box, etc.Because on my Gs5 I usually have 2,3 ROMs backed up on my device and I want to move the ROMs,apps, etc to a storage for I can free up space on my device. And then whenever I can always move a backed up ROM from my storage and reinstall them onto my device. What's the fastest, easiest most convenient way to do this. Thanks In advance!!!

Honestly, if you don't have a computer its probably better to get a higher capacity SD card. I don't download loads of Roms. If I feel the need to test one I'll backup, flash, test, then keep or delete the file based on my experience.
All my photos are backed up to Dropbox, as well as videos. I try to keep as many things as possible on the external card to keep the system running smoothly. I'd also suggest maybe keeping another micro SD with all the things you want on it.
Backing up things online usually requires you to download them again to access them, which to me, is inefficient. You'd also need to find a site that hosts large files. I don't know much how much help I am, but I'd try to get at least a 64gb card if you don't have a PC. I have over 40 gigs of backups alone on my computer.

Go to your dropbox app and use the upload function. You might have to zip the file first . I know google drive will do it automatticly , Then when you want to put it back on your device just unzip it first or just extract it once its on your device.

You can if you are rooted and have a file explorer. But I'm not sure you need to. I install all my ROMs from my SD card and back everything up to my SD card.
