Stock W/ Goodies 1.75 Problem! - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

So I just went up to 1.75 Stock With Goodies....everything was running smooth for the past week and a half or so....
But today It seems to of slowed wayyyy down. Also, About half of my text message threads will not open at all, I simply see the spinning circle thing with "Loading..." forever.
I tried wiping the cache(s) and reflashing the rom, no luck, same exact issues.
What do I do now?

When you wiped the caches, did you include Devlik (can be done via Titanium Backup)? Any new applications installed? Any new mods flashed?!
Sent From My S-OFFed, R00ted, 100% Tricked-Out HTC Evo 4G LTE via XDA Premium!

Definetly did the delvik.....
I flashed the rom itself, then the remapping that the the rom creator recommended....thats it. no other mods, no other programs that are different. I use the text message app the rom comes with and swiftkey to type

did you do a full wipe?

I did the delvik and cache and the system.....

Full nandroid and titanium backup, wiped all caches, factory reset, etc.?
Sent From My S-OFFed, R00ted, 100% Tricked-Out HTC Evo 4G LTE via XDA Premium!

Guess I'll do that next.....
any other ideas though?

Check out the system tuner app at Google Play and the native task manager, in order to identify the apps, processes, etc. which are hogging resources.
Also, do you have a CPU overclock app installed, that has been set to the lowest settings to reduce power consumption? That would do it as well.
If not, don't kill the messenger, but then the next step would be installing the Jewel RUU, and re-attaining S-OFF, r00t, etc.

Hi flex, first of all thanks for the awesome ROM. It stopped me from going to the S3 and I love my EVO 4G LTE now more than ever. I am running into the same problem as vader from post # 2902 so I'm doing a full wipe. I just wanted to give you a heads up that is not isolated. Since I'm new, I'm not allowed to post to post directly in your thread. I did donate and plan to do again, this ROM is awesome! Heavy user and I get home with about 20% battery. Thanks for the hard work!
PS: Just remembered something, I do Dalvik intergration into ROM using Titanium Backup Pro. Does that affect the script that you included to zipalign the APKs? Tks again.

I upgraded to 2.13 and the landscape rosie doesn't work. I flashed the zip but it still doesn't work. Still cannot post to the thread, 4 posts to go.

Yes. Don't wipe dalvik without a good reason for it.
Its a new thing in ICS that helps your phone adjust to changes

yerp..seems that it'll happen everytime cache/dalvik is wiped. Since I'm assuming you're not new to this wiping process, you'll probly remember that boot always take a little longer after you wipe the dalvik..it's still the same, just now it provides a visual indication of its progress.
I like it since now you know your phone has actually booted as opposed to the OG Evo where you're left wondering whether it's stuck or not

Are we any close to obtaining root/s-off on 4.0.3 & firmware 1.22.651.3 version?

I got my phone replaced last night and while I wasn't paying attention to the Best Buy rep, she updated my EVO LTE. SMH!!! Missing MeanROM and google wallet

You can always use HTC unlock to get recovery, then used recovery to flash root
Currently, S-OFF via LazyPanda has been shot down by the new OTA via hboot 1.15. The best you can hope for with the current OTA currently, is HTC Dev unlock and r00t, such as xHausx's deodexed ROM.

Thanks man, I'll this this route. Will I be able to acheive s-off later down the line if I go with HTC Dev Unlock?
It's possible, but I would count on having to relock the phone, implement a newer version of LazyPanda which leverages a new exploit in hboot 1.15, etc.
Hope for the best, bit expect the worst, in other words.
If you're patient, and don't take any updates, OTAs, etc. You will see the new revision on XDA very quickly. Patience is a virtue in this game.
Use TWRP to do a nandroid, move the backup to your computer, run a full Titanium backup before the nandroid if you're paranoid ~ I am! ~ factory reset the phone reset the davlik cache, etc.
Then, you will have a perfect platform to work with, once the new S-OFF is out. I usually do this in preparation for a new ROM, firmware upgrade, and so forth.

Awesome. Will do just that. Thanks Mike!
Also, I'm curious to know if once I'm rooted and have custom recovery, can I simply flash a RUU image to the previoius software version to obtain S-off? Or am I stuck due to the hboot version? Thanks!

If I want to install TWRP on my LTEVO, do I need to have S-OFF? I rooted from stock using Zedomax's method, and I have not installed the OTA update.
You don't need to have s-off, but you should get it while it's still available to you.

HTC Update notification

Back when the new update OTA was released I received a notification about the update to then download it. I did not download it OTA, I did however use LazyPanda to get S-Off and then flashed an Odexed rooted version of the new updated ROM.
All is fine and dandy except every time I reboot my phone and the home screen loads, I get a notification about an available update. There is no update, the only way to get rid of it is to check for an HTC Update and when it says no updates are available it clears the notification. I have to redo this process every time the phone is rebooted.
Is there some file I can alter or something that will stop this notification from showing after a reboot?

Newbie question about rooting

I pretty new to android and I'm ready to take the plunge and root... Etc. I have 1 question, how can I back up my app data before I have root access?
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Flash the TWRP or CWM custom recoveries and execute a nandroid backup. You can also use an app called App Backup and Restore on the Google Play store to backup your current app drawer, etc. After rooting, go with Titanium Backup.
Sent from my r00ted, unlocked, 100% tricked-out LTEVO
But don't I first have to unlock my boot loader to flash twrp or cwm? And doesn't unlocking wipe all my app data?
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Ah, I thought you were already S-OFF via LazyPanda or HTC Dev Unlocked. In this case, use the App Backup and Restore app to backup your app drawer, get yourself S-OFF or HTC Dev Unlocked, flash TWRP, perform nandroid, etc.
There's a great tool here at HTC that helps automate this entire process, in the apps forum. That will help you.
HTH!

I mean for instance, in a weather app my locations. In a game completed levels. Sms and emails. Sound settings and screen layouts. Etc.... I know how to back up the actual APKs but not data and phone settings.

I'm looking for exactly the same thing, but if you're already on 1.22.651.3, there's currently no way.
Titanium will back up this stuff very nicely, but requires root first. There was a local root exploit for the earlier version, but not for the current one.
What's your software version?
. 3. The latest. I'm new to android and stupid me I updated from the earlier version. This was all before I started learning about unlocking and rooting.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
From everything I've seen then the best you can do is something like MyBackup Pro, but you'll lose all the game states and other app settings (except for a very few apps that use MyBackup's API), about half of the home-screen and system settings, and can look forward to days of putting everything back the way you had it.
But, you'll only have to do it once, if you flash TWRP recovery and a rooted rom. Then you can do nandroid backups and titanium backups and get everything from then on.
Guesso.

Hey man after you get done rooting your phone. Download Rom toolbox and get the pro one cause it is worth it and plus it has 20 apps in one and user friendly. But before you root your phone put your files on the computer and when you get done rooting put those files back in there.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Rom toolbox definitely looks like it's worth checking out.
I'll copy everything that it'll let me get at to a PC before doing the unlock, and I guess I can diff it all afterwards,
but I would expect that a lot of what I want to preserve would be records in system databases and stuff that I couldn't just copy back, but at that stage I guess there's no harm in trying. If it was that easy, the non-root backup programs would be able to do it.
I am running ROM Toolbox myself, but don't believe that App Manager in ROM Toolbox allows in-app configs to be backed up, passwords, etc. As per the original stated requirement?
Until Titanium is installed after rooting your device, I'm not aware of a way in which to pull this off, sorry.
You might want to PM xHausx, one of our moderators, who has been very helpful to me in the past. He might have some excellent answers for you.
Good luck!

I'm pretty sure the psneuter temp-root that this uses doesn't work with 1.22.651.3
But I might try it anyway just for the heck of it.

Reboot on standby (deep sleep)

Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC Evo 3D GSM. I installed Liquidsmooth v3.0 Nightlies, then I return to Stock Evo GSM ICS ROM. After installing useful apps, the phone started reboot after few minutes (on standby). Then I installed CM 11 Nightlies, but this same problem. Now I have Stock Evo GSM ICS ROM (with the problem)
The phone reboots only on deep sleep or standby - after shot down a screen.
The phone doesn't reboot if I chager it.
The phone doesn't reboot if I do something, for example playing a game.
I try Wake Lock app, but problem didn't disappear.
Thank you for help!
Silly question but you did a full wipe right? Can you tell me your cpu settings?
