Samsung GO download problem. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,

[Q] Android market - Fix Installed already...

Uninstalling an app. from the phone, keeps the market showing the app. as "Installed".
This prevents users to try reinstalling again the same app.
Is there a way to reset this?
Thanks
No problem here, try to clear the market cache, if that doesn't work, clear the market data and let it start over (you start from the beginning, accepting terms ... but your apps should still be there and marked as "installed" because that's stored on the market servers.

if that doesn't work, clicking clear cache then clear data may do the trick!

[Q] Market Force close

Hi guys,
Quick run down.
No root, official rom, up to date.
However, market is stucked at version 2.14 or something. I understand that it should update itself to the latest version but with no luck, nothing happened after a long time.
Tried opening the market app, but force closes few seconds after. Tried going into manage applications, force closed it. However, the clear cache tab remained unavailable to click for god knows how long, so i cant clear cache.. Also tried web market to see if i can dl some apps but phone did not appear on the list.
Anything i can do to fix this?
Thanks a lot guys
Try and root it then fix permissions through recovery.

new rom

Hi iv just recently installed a new a rom, i have had for a few days now and its great. The only complaint i have is that every time i try to launch market a box appears saying the application has stopped working and says either force close or report. Any help would be great
Clean install or did you keep your data intact?
anyhow, you're better off clearing data from market. Go in settings, applications, manage applications, select all applications and look for market. Clear data and then try again.

If you are using the most recent Gapps, then there is no need to use the Gapps Fix.

[Q] Play store not working.

I was on my phone this morning and was going to look at some music to buy, but when I tried to open the play store it opened for a split second then closed. I've tried again, and again and it will still not work. So if you guys could help me to try and fix it that would be great! Thanks!

Go to setting > more > application manager > all > google play > clear data
You'll likely have to re enter your account data but should work fine after that.

Are you rooted? ROM?
If rooted try wiping cache and delvic cache in recovery. And fix permissions.

can't install facebook messenger because code -505

Hello I have Xperia Z5 compact with Nougat. I have been very happy with it since Nougat but lately I noticed fb messenger could not be updated because code -505. I tried deleting it's cache and data but that did not help. Uninstalled it but can't install it again because -505. Then I tried deleting app data for play store and google play services but this did not help either! Now I am just without facebook messenger which is not very cool
Any ideas what to do?

Seems like the messenger data is still in the system although the app is uninstalled, you can't help it, you have to reset data

Please be more specific. I just want to fix this, so what do you mean by "you have to reset data"? Do you I go to filesystem, look for some messenger related folder and delete it? If yes then which one would it be?

You can't go inside the data of apps unless you're rooted, so your only choice is to factory reset your phone to delete all data...

You gotta be kidding me Why can't I just delete the obb file if there is one?

It's not the obb file ?
I meant the Data inside the data partition which exist In:
../data/data/ and it's hidden from user by default, you can't access it unless you're rooted.
Oh my... I don't want to go through factory reset and set up of everything again so soon How easy you think would be the rooting and is there a chance that my current setup would survive that?

Not sure you can root, you have android 7, there is no temp rooting for it yet, and also if root failed then that might lead to a software brick, which can be solved by re flashing stock rom which is a bigger thing
So I'd vote for the "reset data"
