Ever since I upgraded my neo to ics the facebook calender sync keeps on uploading and downloading stuff and drains all my battery within a few hrs..iv tried disabling it from acounts n sync bt no use its still doing the same..any solution?

Yeah, calender sync does eat a lot of battery! Rather than disabling it, I suggest you to turn off auto sync in accounts and settings !
It may save some of your draining battery!

.......Nobody?
Has it ever sync successfully before?
Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
Yes, all my contacts are sync'd from google, facebook and skype.
My battery wont last half a day with everything still turned off wifi, gps, sync, screen all off - I think its constantly trying to sync which is draining the battery
I had this same problem some time ago. Reflash your phone, select repair from seus

Hi,
I am on 2.1 and have exactly the same problem and don't know how to remove it. The icon starts when the wifi is connected, anybody please to help me in getting rid of this icon with many thanks in advance.
I live in Arizona where we don't observe daylight savings time. However, on Sunday all of my recurring calendar events (both google calendar and exchange) were suddenly one hour early. My exchange calendar on my computer still shows the correct time but the google calendar is wrong both on my phone and online. This leads me to believe it is a google/android issue. Anyone else have this problem? I have tried checking my time zone, flashing a fresh rom, clearing calendar data. Nothing works.
Thanks.

Should be the carrier signal not google. The carrier controls the time signal, the Carrier may not care that Arizona is the only state that doesn't recognize daylight saving time
Yeah but my clock is right.

I live in phoenix and had no issues. My fiance's phone was for a minute but corrected after a re boot, we work different schedules so have different alarms and calendar events.

I dont get it. The same thing happened when I first got my phone and dst was just starting. That was when I was running stock 2.1.

When you go to date/time in settings, how are your settings there?
If it's right, and it's right on everything else but your email client... then there are settings in that app that need to be adjusted.
My wife's exchange calendar was off a few hours when she came back from LA. I looked in the settings of touchdown, removed all of her calendar events and then added them back... once they were added back everything was a okay.
It's not google/android. It's an app.
It was wrong on my Google calendar though. Even when accessing through my computer.

My calendar was off until I rebooted. I'm in Hawaii and we don't observe DST either.

Then it has nothing to do with your phone...
Check your calender settings.
But times are also wrong on my exchange calendar on my phone. When I access my exchange calendar at work via outlook the times are correct. That's why i believe its a google/android problem.

Hey guys for some reason my battery is being hammered, I've got trillian running cus I like to be signed in all times but I'm using battery saver mode and push to email
I have launcher pro widgets on half hour refresh I've amended that to 1hr and plume every half hour.
Screen is on automatic and im using gmail for email
At work I had 98% didn't use it % (in my pocket) 2 hours later I'm on 69%?
Is it trillian hammering me? I used to love being signed in all the time on blackberry so would like a similar solution
Thanks

check the battery saving mode under the settings on trillian.
I think there were some apps that were running. You can go tothe navigation: setting/application/battery use to see them. The another way, you try factory data to clean everything which you installed.
In the other hand, new battery is unstable. It needs about 2 weeks
Good luck

Look at your battery stats.. Sounds like something is keeping the phone awake.
As a general rule the phone should only very rarely be "awake" when the screen is off.. If it's on alot then start trying to troubleshoot the various apps.. Although trillian is definitely where i would start.
Yeah id say it be trillian, its a battery drainer program as its uses constant internet connection
I'm still calibrating my battery (it's been on 0% for half an hour and it's still hanging on for dear life with the screen on constantly!) but I have trillion so I'll check it out on next charge

If you are out and about turn off WiFi, it's a battery drainer.
Turned trillian off, still losing battery
Says android system 95%
Wifi off

Cpu is often awake! And sometimes it keep waking up which drain battery dramatically even charger won't charge or slow! While i'm off to bed, I've been charging my battery for 5 hours when i woke up it's 20%. I'm on stock and ka speed kernel i even undervolted 75mv!

I would suggest the following: wipe cache and dalvik, flash Advanced stock kernel (build 11 is the best) and test. If the issue persists, look for the app which is draining your battery.
I think it's walkman app! Because i just stop listening to music before going to bed! Maybe it kept cpu to wake continuosly!

To to Settings > Apps > All and disable any app you don't use, especially com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup. There is a bug in Sony's ICS firmware which doesn't let phone sleep properly when Wi-Fi is disable, so keep it enable even thought you are not using it.
For more info check out this thread.

Try lupus karnel.i think its good for combining with zellycream

Install an app such as Better Battery Stats or System Panel in order to figure out _what_ actually keeps draining your battery. This might be a bit of work but definitely worth the effort.

same problem in every rom/kernel combination
never found out what's causing it even with bbs and stuff
It's a difficult thing at times... On my device, I once had massive battery drains by Poweramps media scanner periodically running into trouble with a defective audio file, keeping the device active all the time. Took a while to find out about that. First guess, maybe, is to check what apps are running, which are set to automatically sync, that kind of stuff.

Coo, thanks. Wasn't aware of this app so far, but seems rather promising.
