Dear collegues,
i'm looking for buying a Lumia but the call blocking is a must for me right now, but as far as MS haven't
released Apis, no third party app can be developed to do that. My last hope would be a cooked rom with this feature
included. Do you think is this possible?.
Kind regards.
i remember this being an option on some android roms

This is one feature that's surprisingly missing from Android. Is there any way to add it in or develop an app to do it?
Hell yes. I Miss that so much from my old win mo custom rom days!!!
Yes, it actually is supported in the source code, but it is disabled because there are some issues with it recognizing the voice command over BT, IIRC. I believe the line in the source is in BluetoothHeadset.java, or something like that. It is referenced in the bug filed against it on the Android tracker.
Perhaps some of the devs who build their custom ROMs from source can enable this in one of their future ROMs?
Developers? Can you chime in please?
Hello out there!
Well at least it sounds like out will be possible!
Ok, so I am starting a new thread as I didn't find any answer, neither have received a reply previously in other threads (Specific roms threads)
In custom roms such as Cyanogen's and [email protected]'s - no Sense roms - the Dialer is very basic.
Actually, it is impossible to get a contact filtering when entering numbers (what T9 does in SMS/Messages apps... Ok, I don't know how to explain that in a comprehensive sentence, but I hope you get it)
I played with a rom that a friend of mine installed on his Galaxy S, and the Dialer is pretty much the same, such as Google phones with basic android software, no additional features,... But that one has the predictive thing....
Is there a way to implement this feature within the phone (Dialer) apk of custom roms?
Thank you guys for ... Well, first, trying to understand what I wrote, ... and then for your answers!
Try Dialer One
take phone dialer
Thank you guys, for answering.
I know Dialer One, but don't like it, ... Have to discover TAKEPhONE dialer...
However, I wanted to know if it was possible to add the feature in the original phone application for Legend, as it seems to be implemented in the dialer from the custom rom for Galaxy S... (I assume it is...)
Because that app, the original phone app above mentioned, is pretty much the exact same app than the one for our Legend, except it has the T9 filter feature.
Thank you guys, anyway !!!
thank you for your effort
I have been using a rooted IncS for more than a year now and finally want to make the switch from HTC to Samsung. One of the biggest drawbacks for me when using a rooted IncS was that I had to use a Sense based ROM to maximise the my camera experience. I understand some .apk relating to the camera has not been released by HTC hence AOKP/ASOP ROMs are unable to offer the same camera experience as Sense ROM.
My question is whether the same restrictions apply to a Samsung phone and would I be required to use a touchwiz based rom to best utilise my camera? Or would I be able to get the same camera experience in AOKP/ASOP ROMs.
I did try looking for an answer but was unable to locate one. In the event I missed out on it and end of repeating this question I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately there's not one single AOSP/AOKP rom on the S3 that functions properly due to undocumented Exynos platform and partially working (or not working) hwcomposer. There are always glitches in the camera, when switching front to back and lack of support for modes that you have in stock firmwares like hdr, hires panorama mode etc. Stick to stock if you need your phone's full functionality. If you can live with some basic apps force closing try the newest CM10 nightly you shouldn't be too disappointed.
Hi,
a friend of mine upgraded my Lumia 920, now Windows 10 is running. I was wondering if there is any call recording software that can run on my device...
Thanks

Too soon to tell. If it is coming, it will be built-in. I doubt Microsoft will ever make the mistake of making the API freely available to developers.

I had a quick look and it seems that call recording apps worked on WP7 only, so I guess there is no hope to get this feature with 3rd party apps on WP8 and 10....
Thank you for your reply

Hello this is my first post in this forum and I hope I'm in the right one. Basically I have third party music media playing app, specifically zplayer that I really like and would love to be able to include it into the contextualized pop-up menu for playing media, you know the one, "just once or always" And again I'm sorry there probably is a really easy solution for it or a known non starter but as im running the infamosly difficult to get along with Verizon htc m9.....android 6.0 sense off network chip from tmobile (99$ unlimited 4g, cant be beat in my area)...anyway those are my deets. And thank you guys not only for this avenue of inquiry but for the exobytes of data content roms and support over the many years since my eyes were first opened to XDA.
Cheers.
