CSC are posted .
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674286
Otherwise you need the extract cache tool posted .
But all you will end up with is non flashable files.
Sammobile may have seperate CSC .
Root explorer and extract the CSC folder and CSC files from the phone system .

I would like to have the correct CSC according to the fw I am using. The mobile came with CSC TEN which is Telenor. This fw is always late when it comes to updates becauce of some special apps they are adding in. So now I have the NEE firmware, but TEN CSC.. so how do I change the CSC?

CSC change in link given.
Sorry I know nothing about official firmware . I use XDA forum. Possible a Samsung forum may have more information for you .

If you flash a nee firmware you should get nee csc to, but you can download csc changer from play store and se that csc you phone have and change it

CSC changer shows only TEN CSC, not NEE... Obviously not a multi CSC thing in this fw..

Ten csc is carrier specific, so it probably just means you will get carrier bloat with it, if that is case then just use your regional csc unless you really want that bloat! And remember changing csc factory reset phone and I think it wipes internal sd too

That is exactly what I want, but how do I manage to get my regional (NEE) CSC into the S3? CDC changer does not work (Sees only TEN CSC) and when I flashed the pda with odin (should contain NEE CSC) I still have TEN CSC...

Basically you want to debrand your phone so you may as well just flash your required Rom from here

No need to dump just download it from below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928
then just root it using CF-root from below using the XENKJ3 file, which you can then place original FW on SD card and flash back at anytime using cwm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
or just flash a custom rom using odin or once rooted using cwm
Once rooted you just delete all the crap you don't want off the phone.

If you used MobileODIN, try reflashing the same ROM, but having the .md5 in the external SD card, not in the internal storage.
I had this issue once and that's what worked for me.
Anyhow, forget about the Brazilian ROMs (such as ZTO). They are all outdated already.
Get one from NEE (new) or ITV (newest). They are better, newer, leaner and work flawlessly in Brazil (and yes, they both contain Brazilian Portuguese).
may I ask you to show me which one (ITV) should I use? Or just tell me what country I should look for in checkfus!
Thanks !!

Raphael, if you're going to use the non-GUI version of CheckFus Downloader, this is the command line to get it:
Code:
CheckFusDownloaderCmd.exe -dl I9300XXALF6/I9300ITVALF1/I9300XXLF5/I9300XXALF6 ITV GT-I9300
Otherwise, for the GUI version, just copy/paste the parts below in the "Firmware info" of CheckFus Downloader 2.1:
Product Code: GT-I9300MBDITV
PDA: I9300XXALF6
CSC: I9300ITVALF1
Phone: I9300XXLF5
then click on "Check Firmware" and then "Download".
it was not so easy to find it in checkfus...I didn't find in gui version, and on nongui I downloaded, but after the download the program crashes and broke the file. 3 times.
But I found it at Sammobile, downloaded and already flashed! Thank you again!
Mine's also says CSC Unknown... I'm on Official JB Polish rom... do I have to flash that CSC package?? But what is the one correspondent to the Official JB Polish??
I have the same thing after the Polish ROM. Does having an unknown CSC actually matter for any reason?
Threads seem to indicate that it doesn't, and my phone is working normally, but maybe I'm missing something obvious.
CSC may play a part if your network has fast dormancy .
CSC essentially contains a list of network setting for local areas .
Example
<Country>UK & IRE</Country><CountryISO>GB</CountryISO><Region>EUR</Region><SalesCode>BTU</SalesCode><NbNetworkInfo>20</NbNetworkInfo>-<NetworkInfo><MCCMNC>23410</MCCMNC><NetworkName>O2 UK Pay Monthly</NetworkName></NetworkInfo>-<NetworkInfo><MCCMNC>23410</MCCMNC><NetworkName>O2 UK Pay & Go</NetworkName></NetworkInfo>-<NetworkInfo>
CSC code is part of the HDSWVER code that is used for Kies /Ota updates if anyone actually uses that route .

You have corrupted CSC, Flash the rom again in Odin as CSC, i.e. put the MD5 file in CSC instead of PDA and it will fix the problem.
You have better reset your firmware by using "Firmware Upgrade And Initialization" in your Samsung KIES 2.5.0.12114_1.
You don't need a correct CSC for your phone as it will just download the firmware for you according to the serial number you provided to the software. However, please back up your phone first as it may delete all your data.
Is there a way to fix this WITHOUT resetting? I didn't encounter it until recently. I assume it's something related to using Mobile Odin, but not sure.

I am not sure about that. Maybe you just try to download the CSC corresponding to your firmware version and flash it with odin, but I don't know if it will reset your phone.
Anyone who really does know how to fix this (or if it is even necessary)?
I also had this problem. Reflashing the firmware again fix it for me.

Reflashed via desktop Odin, rooted via Chainfire's latest root method. Reset. Flashed CWM touch. Device status is Normal and CSC is correct.
Just for future reference, in case anyone searches for this later. This was the actual problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950082
Simply reflashing the ROM via Mobile Odin and allowing the stock recovery to be flashed solved it. Flash the CWM recovery later, if you want it.
Works like a charm.

[Q] Help needed, flashed and now i have a KOR csc

Hi there! I need help please.
I got an S3 with a Vodafon-Italy firmware. Since I was experiencing a lot of freezing problems lately, I decided to flash the english firmware (I9300XXEMB5_I9300OXAEMB5_BTU) that everyone said fixed these problems. I followed the guide on here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969) and everything went fine. Problem is, when I connected the phone with kies, it said i still had OMN (vodafone) csc. So i decided to hard reset the phone and flash it again, and now kies says I have KOR csc. Why the flash wont give me a BTU csc, which is the one for the firmware I flashed?
What bothers me is that if I ever need to use warranty, I'll have to flash back the original firmware (Vodafone-Italy with OMN csc), but I guess that even if i flash that I guess I'll still get a KOR csc.
So my question is: what did i do wrong? Why do I get KOR? And how do i fix it?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me...
PS My cell isnt rooted, and I rather not root it, so using some tool to change the csc I guess won't work.
BTU firmwares have KOR as the default CSC.
Also, questions are better off in the dedicated questions section.

First of all thanks for your help... but are you really sure about this? I mean, kies says I won't be able to update my firmware... and I guess that happens because it shows as KOR... which would mean that every english user with a BTU firmware wouldn't be allowed to update with kies...it wouldnt make much sense tho... shouldnt they be marked as BTU? If what you say is true, tho, that means that If I flash back the original Vodafone-Italy fw i'll get back OMN... is that correct?

I'm sorry I posted here because it's the same forum where I read the flash guide... If any moderator wants to move this thread somewhere else, sorry for the trouble.
when a hard reset is done, the CSC resets to factory settings, in this case "KOR" (Korea).
Search on Sammobile for the Vodafone-Italy fw and flash via odin.

Thanks for your help.
I'm kinda new to this world so sorry in advance if I ask a stupid question.
If I understood correctly... the BTU firmware by default uses KOR csc, so when I did the hard reset with that fw installed, the csc was set to KOR.
Once I flash the Vodafone-Italy fw back, and I do a hard reset with that one installed, the csc will be set to the csc that that fw uses by default, which should be OMN (I9300XXELLA_I9300VFGELL3_OMN).
Is that correct? Thanks again!!
We all learn from each other
After flashing the fw you require, a reboot is enough
Make sure your phone is fully charged or at 80% of battery before flashing.

Mmmm why you say a reboot is enough? I mean... if my csc now is KOR and I flash the vodafone (csc OMN) firmware, after a reboot it'll still appear as KOR... correct? As you said, only with a hard reset the s3 will change csc to the default one used by the firmware.
Just asking to see if I understood how it works... thank you again.
Your csc changed to KOR because you did a hard reset. So installing the italian fw will replace KOR with the csc of italian fw.
You could not update via kies after installing the UK fw is becase your phones csc and the fw csc should match to update via kies.
I use kies only for backing up my phone and use odin to flash new updates.

The ROM you're using is MultiCSC and KOR is set as default. Use app from market called CSC changer and choose BTU from list. F.RESET and all done. Your new CSC will be BTU. If you want CSC-OMN then you need to get right ROM and flash it with Odin.

[Q] Device firmware.

When i go to kies and try to update my i9300, they say my device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies. It is PDA:MF6 / Phone:MB1 / CSC:MF3 (KOR). I flashed my own country's firmware (singapore starhub) downloaded from sammobile but the firmware still stays the same. I tried OTA also but it says my software is modified. How do i change this firmware to my own country's one?
Have you rooted or modded your phone in any way? Modified status means it isn't as it left the factory. If you have then OTA won't work and probably kies (although I can't say for certain as I always use odin).
Go read the stickies in the general forum, before you do anything else, as you seem unaware of some crucial facts.
My phone is rooted. But it used to work on kies . Is it maybe because my firmware is KOR which I think stands for Korea but I'm not from there? That's why it doesn't work?
The update will be for KOR not where you are .
You do not have your original firmware product codes csc etc do not match .
Suggest you update by using sammobile.com stock firmware flashed via odin.

I tried csc changer already but if I use that way all my data will be gone and I have to reinstall everything. Even if I restore backup through Cwm recovery the csc code changes back. Is this the only way or is there another way without having to wipe my data
