+1 The green camera issue plagues alot of users and it's hardware all the way. You'd be bigger then, well, the big guy if you posted a fix for the camera..
Thanks for support.
I don't understand what the problem with the camera is. Do you have some details to give me ? or a video of the issue ?

if you want i can make a short movie how you can disassembly the camera...
Hi, great video and great timing, my screen cracked yesterday after a "screen first landing from my bed". I already ordered a replacement one and your video gave me great hints on how to dismantle it, however I'm still wondering if anything else is needed to put it back together with the new one. Does the screen comes with some kind of glue on the sides? Any tape that I need to take in consideration? or it should just snap back in place?
Thanks for doing this tutorial and I would appreciate anyone who can help me with these questions.

The video says not available in my country. I am in germany. I would love a nice video on how to take this beast apart and try to fix the camera issue. I press on it and it seems to work but only if I press down hard so maybe something got dissconnected.
Or hell find a place that will fix it, I cant send it to ASUS because of the unlock thing and because I dropped it recentlly but no other damage was done to the tablet though
now just some scratches
Where are y'all finding replacement screens? I haven't had any luck finding just the screen

TRY ON EBAY I BOUGHT ALREADY AND WAITING FOR THE DIGITAL TOUCH SCREEN ALSO
search for "TF201 DIGITIZER" YOU WILL FIND A LOT
hope i help you
I'm aware that they have them on Ebay, dozens of them, but every one that I have seen bought has a screwed up X-axis.
When you install yours make sure to test it BEFORE you take it down.

I think he means to test it before you permanently mount it.
There doesn't seem to be any way to remove a cracked digitizer from the mouning bezel without destroying it. Even though your glass may currently be cracked, I'm sure it still works at least. If you remove (and destoy) your digitizer glass, you won't want to discover that your replacement has the left and right axis reversed.
Disconnect the ribbon cable for existing (cracked) digizer glass. Connect the new digitizer glass. Boot your prime. Make certain that the new glass is the right model and the left/right is correct.
Even easier than that. Compare the rev numbers of the replacment digizier and the existing one. If they are different revs, you'll be hosed.

I just received my GTab today, and I have noticed a ripple almost dead center in the screen, like when you press in on a LCD monitor... it happens when I move the tablet, or press on the screen. Note that this isnt a water drop applet or anything like that, it seems to be a hardware defect.
I searched around but didnt see anything pertaining to this issue, so I figured I would make a post. Is anyone familiar with this? Is this something every GTab does?
Thanks for the insight!
Anyone? Please just confirm if your gtab does this or not, I want to get an RMA in before the day ends!

Hi guys, i came to my phone today, go to send a text , and the screen is unresponsive where W and E would be on a keyboard.
Is this a Sofware problem, or a easyfix?

More than likely its the digitizer like whats wrong with my phone. The fix requires pretty much disassembly of thee phone.
Deadspot
So this is my problem... Is there a chance it is a software problem?
Not really.

Then do you think that if i replace the digitizer, the problem will be solved? Maybe it's a wire and not the digitizer that is the problem?
Replacing the digitizer almost always solves this kind of problem.
Tomorrow im gonna replace my digitizer. Lets hope i manage to do it without destroying anything. ill post back

when i replaced the digitizer the dead stripe just moved from the left of the screen to the right. I think im done trying to fix this phone. I might as well send it to our dear devs if they can make better use of it than me... still i dont know why but i want to fix my atrix so much... should i buy a 3rd digitizer?

Son you just save me from buying an atrix with this problem, thank you, and god bless you!
HI today I take a closer look at my phone, and I saw that border / frame broke on my S3
The phone was not dropped once , I do not wear it in the back pants pocket, I really do not get it how it broke?!
What you say has any chance to solve it under warranty? Possibly question number two, how the problem is to replace it?
Here is a picture

I've been reading a lot of posts here and other places about the green and pink screen when you open the camera. I just opened mine and got the camera to work for a few minutes but detatching it and moving it around. But now it's back to being green screen. I'm wondering if it's the camera, motherboard, or firmware that's the problem. Has anyone replaced the camera and still have this problem? Please let me know.
I've had to send mine in for repair 3 times now. Twice in warranty, once out. Problem comes back about every 6 months or so. Not sure what they do to fix it, but I think they replace it.
I've thought about opening it up and playing with it, but I don't feel comfortable with that.

I opened it and found out the problem is actually the camera itself. I ordered another camera but I don't know how long that one will last. I made a little video demonstrating the problem on youtube.

were you able to take out fully and put it back without problems ? the removal seems to be quiet simple compared to the One.

I didnt take apart the whole thing, but maybe I will in future. The whole thing was simple and ya much easier than the htc one. Once the back cover is off, the rest is simple also since its in sections and screws are visible.

DO you know if the camera is replaceable with the camera from HTC one? I counted the number of screws and i could get 9 on my the international model, but i do remember you said 13. for me there are 3 at the left side and four on the right and then two in the middle one of which has a void sticker. I am yet to see the other screws. i hate to take away the stickers
The camera should be replaceable since its the same camera as the htc one. Can you take a pic of the back of your phone and post it here so I can see it and let you know where the screws will be

haha thats a good question, i messed up all my threads!
i wont say i had the exact perfect screwdrivers, but this - 360/PH00x50 Screwdriver was useful.
had purchased it here http://www.etradesupply.com/360-ph00x50-screwdriver.html
i ain't no professional so the OP might give you a better answer.
Thank you . That's a Philips screwdriver model. What I need to know is the model of triwing screwdriver because almost all the screws are from this type. Bought an original housing from eBay with beats logo!!! Seller told me it was from a test unit and I want to put it on my Max. The beats logo looks fantastic

Hi,did you have take the whole unit apart to replace the camera module? Or was the partial disassembly in the video enough to do it? I've got the new module and have managed to do the partial disassembly but can't seem to see or find the plug for the camera ribbon. Thanks in advance .

For posterity: The size needed for the Max is Tri-Wing #00. That size can be a little hard to find, but this kit has it and it's got a good hard tip (unlike many cheap ones):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089NNRL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Note: You want Tri-Wing, not Tri-point. There is a small difference between the two.
