Lock screen issue in stock based roms. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Friends,I have been using both stock based as well as cm7 based roms on my rooted galaxy ace for a year now.From the very beginning I have noticed that in stock nased roms,if I set up a pattern or pin lock for my device the original lock screen is automatically disabled,which is not a case with cm7 based roms.When I press the power button,the pattern or the pin input screen comes up in stock based roms,not the lock screen.Is there any way to enable the lock screen in stock based roms?

[Q] 2.1 question

im on wbs CM6 and the main reason is because of the cyanogenmod option that lets you set a pin number to unlock the phone
i want to go bak to my optimized 2.1 but i couldnt get a working pin lockscreen (lockbot offers the option but it is easily bypassed by pushing the menu button)
iff there is an app or a mod to enable the pin lock from cyanogenmod on the stock 2.1 please throw it up

Lock screen pin unlock no ok

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but is there a way to have the lock screen unlocked without having to hit "ok"after entering the correct pin?

Try installing another lock screen... Never had that problem myself, but that should do the trick...

[Q] Remove emergency call from pattern lock screen

Hi guys,
I've tried searching xda and google and can't seem to find a solution for this;
I want to completely remove (or disable) the emergency call feature on the pattern lock screen of my SGS3.
Surely this must be possible when I'm rooted
I've read some older threads (for older phones) that this has been previously achieved by editing the framework files. Does this ring any bells?
I'm currently running Omega rom, where the lock screen is stock Samsung. So the question is not for vanilla Android (AOSP, AOKP etc.).

Requesting for help with unrooted Vodafone (ZTE) Smart Ultra 6 stuck at lock screen

Hi all, I have an unrooted Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 smartphone (manufactured by ZTE) running the original stock ROM (Android 5.1) and USB debugging is believed to have been disabled. The phone boots up to the lock screen as normal which uses a gesture pattern. For some reason, one of the matrix's dots that is part of the pattern to unlock the phone became "unresponsive" (part of the touchscreen is broken?) and I have not been able to complete the pattern's path, therefore the phone remains stuck at the lock screen. I have tried to use ADB to remove the "gesture.key" file but was unsuccessful because of the phone's unrooted nature.
Is there any other way to bypass the lock screen? Thanks in advance.
