These damn BETA rom builders you think they would get everything working before calling them a Beta release .

i understand they are beta but i have used the same rom before and the call quality was fine but its so bad. you can bearly make out the voice.
Then try the obvious:
a) Wipe cache / dalvik cache
-> see if problem is solved
b) Wipe cache / dalvik cache and flash other modem
-> see if problem is solved
c) Repeat b) with other modems
-> see if problem is solved
If not:
d) Stuck with ICS till official JB releases
Thank you

After rooting it on ICS 4.0.3 the lights are not working at all.. I see them closed all the time ?? Anyone aware of what tweaks i should perform ??
They were White/Blueish and absolutely beautiful.
ICS is not stable or official yet... you expected no bugs?
Tell us what you actually flashed etc... and how you flashed it
ICS is not yet released you are using a beta test rom bugs to be expected .
Try factory reset .
Try full reinstall .
jje
Thanks but i figured out the issue

Flashed it properly with all the steps and measures though it was the rom bug.

Well factory reset was already done. though the issue was in the rom not a flash issue.
I returned back to 2.3.6 and the lights were back
later on i flashed it again on 4.0.3 latest leak LP2 and the lights were still working, it has also been rooted.
My issue is solved
Thanks for the feedbacks
Hey i want upgrade from my GB rom to ICS, but whenever i try to Flash an ICS ROM after a full clean wipe, i get alot of crashes! so i revert back to GB! is there something iam missing here? do i need to take an extra precaution before installing the ICS rom?
Mate, its still in alpha stage, not even beta. It's being careless on your behalf for not using search function. You would have known this. Come back April for a stable ICS release.

Probably forgot to wipe. It's the no.1 source of FCs after installing a rOM.

Hundreds of people have shifted to ICS, and you can see developers claiming their ROM's to be stable! thats why i chose to make a move towards ICS when the developers have released about 8 iterations of their original ROM!

Trust me, i factory wipe it twice before flashing a new ROM, that cant be an issue! and if you read the OP, my mobile is crashing, iam not getting any FC's but instead, the mobile gets stuck!
I have had my mobile turning itself off very often since I started "testing" ICS roms. I now have Westcrips 8.4 which is supposed to be one of the best ones and it turned itself off today
I think it might be because it's so cold here ATM (-24c)
I am using ics one month ago and i dont have so much force closes. Currently i use resurrection 8.4 and not bad. My advise is to wipe first data. After cache and after dalvic. Then install room and then it should work. Remeber this rooms are for modwl gt-i9100
You should factory wipe AFTER installing the new rom dude.

GingerBread.
For many "upgrading" will be a lateral shift with possible signs of regression peppered with moments of brilliance (if I die tomorrow please engrave preceding quote on my grave stone). For others it's the best thing since some genius decided to cut bread before selling it. For yet others, they'll think that it's as good of an idea of swallowing thumb tacks.
That said, I'm on CM9 (01292012 build) and have been on CM9 since late December. Gingerbread no longer stands a chance, and as usual no Samsung thank you very much.
I randomly miss some short messages sent to me. These are sent by different senders and problems occurs almost everyday.
My operator says everything is ok and according to their logs all the messages have been sent to my phone. I have sometimes tested this by myself sending a message from another telephone. Sometimes a reboot of the device will help for a while, sometimes another test of sending comes through.
This is annoying and frustrating because you can't be sure if someone has sent you something and all this happens randomly.
I'm currenlty using Samsung Galaxy SIII I9300 with Omega Rom v.45. I noticed this problem with the previous version v.44.x.
Any ideas what may cause this? Do I have to blame the ROM or my operator or my phone?

Is it based on a leak?
Flash a ROM based on an official release and do a factory reset. if that doesn't resolve the issue, probably a network issue - although if yo0u're using a leak, it's not unexpected to find major bugs

What do you mean by "Is it base on a leak"? I have downloaded the ROM from Omega's official donwload center (Omega I9300 XXUFME3 v45.1 JB 4.2.2, torrent-version), rebooted the phone in to the recovery-mode and installed the ROM with "Full wipe"
Any suggestions for an official based ROM?

IT IS BASED ON A LEAK read the rom description .
SMS is a well posted problem .
Use a rom based on 4.1.2 if you don't want to use leaked test beta firmware 4.2.2

Ok, thanks for your replies!
same issue
I also had the same issue.
I'm also using Omega with stable release.
I notice the problem appear when I did a nandroid restore or same problem when I update rom without full wipe.
I was able to receive the missing sms with Ghost SMS.

hello guys, I am experiencing problems. The battery does not charge and I cant call or receive calls and cannot send or receive SMS. I tried reflashing the ROM and clearing cache but this problem still persists. I was wondering if there is a AOSP ROM that does not have this ROM. I tried cm10 but makes my phone super laggy. Is there any other AOSP ROM that you guys recommend me?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Read the faqs and guides try the different roms yourself .
What rom posts are not allowed .
if there is a AOSP ROM that does not have this ROM>>>>This question does not make any sense at all

Make sure you have latest recovery supporting carbon rom. do a Clean Flash such that you wipe the data and cache partitions and if still no luck, use a stable version or other stable ROM.
Good luck
Hi guys, I have a problem with the audio during call.. I have custom rom 4.2.2 (pardus) but the problem I have also met with other rom (always FULL WIPE).
Sometime when make a call .. I don't hear the ringing call, i hear mute, and, if try to say something , hear my voice in the headset ..
Try to see the screen, and verify that the call is start (i see the time of call ..)
Pull down the call .. try again .. and finally hear ringing .. answer .. and the phone is perfect (the caller tells me that he answered even before .. but did not hear me!)
What may be due??!
I've already disabled the noise reduction during call.. but nothing change..
I make the passage from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 custom custom WITHOUT SPECIAL METHODS .. simply by flashing the cwm zip file of the rom.
It's the right process isn't it?
Hope in your answer... and.. sorry for my bad english..
no one could help me???
could be the passage from custom 4.1.2 to custom 4.2.2 without deep clean? move to it with normal flash in cwm with full wipe

Yeah, i've search for it.. but it didn't work.. the modem that i try.. is the same of other people, that didn't have the problem.
I've tried with clean rom.. but nothing change.. a question first.. is the right sequence to change from 4.1.2 custom to 4.2.2 custom the FLASH IN THE CWM? without odin pass with 4.2.2 base rom?
Thanks
It's always a wise idea to wipe everything(except SD) when moving to a major Android version. (4.1.2 > 4.2.2)
