Need help with rezound OTA Update - HTC Rezound

My rezound keeps downloading the OTA update to prepare it for ICS, but when it reboots itself it fails the update. I think it's because I'm not on stock recovery (although I'm using a stock ROM). I've searched all over the place for a stock recovery image to flash but I can't find anything. Any help?

Just run the ruu 3.14.605.12

How do I do that? Is there a download link I need to find?

Yep search for it. What you'll do is after downloading, rename it to PH98IMG.zip and place on the root of your s card then boot into bootloader and it will run. But when it's finished you will reboot back into bootloader and let the install run a second time. After your finished, delete the PH98IMG off your sd card to avoid re installing if you ever go back to bootloader

Stock Recovey img

Hey guys, I am going to try to get a replacement phone from VZW so I am going to re-lock the boot loader and run the RUU. From what I have read the stock recovery is needed for the RUU to work, but I haven't been able to find the file anywhere. Could someone link me to a download or a thread where I can download it?

All you have to do is lock the bootloader, place the ruu zip on your memory card, and change the ruu's name to ph89img, then run it in the bootloader. After that your good to go. I did it and the ruu reverted the recovery back to stock.

Latest Ics leak.

I been trying to find the latest Ics leak but I'm having no luck. Either the file is corrupted when I download or when I download from android police links it says archive no long exists. Anyone have a direct link to download? Thanks.

Do you know what you're doing bud? I don't remember step by step and don't want to put you out.
Sorta. It's been a while since I messed with rooting. So I'm a little rusty. The rom booted and worked but not what I needed. I been trying to update my firmware. I tried using team venasaur rom but it won't recognize my sd card. They said I needed to update my firmware via hboot. So far I'm unable to find a leak that works to flash in hboot

It's not the stock leak. Can it still be used to update the firmware? I'm referring to the link above. I haven't even been able to successfully download a leak because they're either corrupted or missing files. That's why I was hoping someone had a solid link

Or a file I can flash in hboot would be nice. I'm already s off and unlocked. Just need to update the firmware so I can flash Ics roms.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
I think this has the ability to...if I recall it was flash in Amonra, then boot into bootloader and select bootloader and it will cycle through and find the phmg.img and install the firmware. However, since your s-off it should automatically. I remember this one keeps root which you need.
Forget what I said, here is the link with details.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642217
Yeah I flashed that before and then the gb patch. It never booted into bootloader though. It worked and all but when I went into hboot nothing was changed.

Any news on if the Final RUU is ever going to be released? :/
Scott's rooted roms doesn't include radios or hboot. You can find the full RUU here:
http://goo.im/devs/dmeadows013/RUU_Files/RUU_VIGOR_VERIZON_3.14.605.5.zip
This is the latest RUU that you flash in hboot. Just rename the file to PH98IMG.zip.
Referenced from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19756694
Edit: Didn't realize you were s-off already.
The RUU will update your hboot with a version that won't let you put on a custom recovery so from the 2nd link I provided, at the bottom of the page, flash one of the hboots from there. Just rename it also to ph98img.zip and flash from hboot. Then you can install amon-ra and you're set to go.

The RUU I linked will wipe everything to stock, including the hboot and recovery. You'll lose amon-ra and the stock hboot won't let you re-install it, that's why you need to flash a eng/custom hboot then reinstall amon-ra.
Okay. I already flashed the eng hboot. Nothing changed though?

Guess I'm not being clear.
1. Download the RUU from the 1st link, it'll be a big 400+ mb file. Rename it to PH98IMG.ZIP and put it on your microSD card. Boot into your bootloader, it'll automatically find it and go with the update. It'll then reboot and you repeat the process to finish the update.
2. Then install the eng/custom hboot, and finally amon-ra.
Okay I'll try that again but I haven't been able to download a RUU successfully. Each time I download from this link it says archive is corrupted

You have to use a card reader in a computer. If these are not available to you, you might try the local library.
You should be able to go into recovery. Just reflash like Mike said and you should be good to go.
Like others have said just go into recovery and re flash your rom. There is Zero need to re lock and run an ruu, just a waste of time

[Q] FRUSTRATED!! Returning to stock, running RUU...

I have an HTC Rezound I have had since launch day. I unlocked the device via HTC Dev site, rooted and installed Clean Rom Developers Edition sometime in May 2012. I have been running this rom since. I have decided to sell the phone on ebay and want to return it to stock for the new purchaser. I downloaded what I thought and hoped was the ICS ruu, renamed it to the PH128.zip (or whatever it is actually supposed to be named), put it on the root of the SD card. Then I downloaded Hasoon's all in one tool kit so i could first "relock" my bootloader. I clicked the relock bootloader button while connected via the usb cable and in the bootloader, and it ran the commands and relocked the bootloader. It now says "relocked". I then clicked bootloader, the phone booted into the bootloader and appeared as though it was loading the zip file, but then nothing happens. Now no matter what I do the phone will only boot into the bootloader and nothing else happens.
Where did I go wrong? What is my remedy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It recognized the ruu file on the sd card. It began to load, the little loading bar on the right of the screen loaded once, then twice, and then it should say hit volume up to apply the update but it never did. It just went right back to the same hboot screen. same options. I try to go to recovery and it only reboots to the same hboot screen. It wont do anything. I am trying to download the ruu exe file now and see if that will work. Any suggestions?

You're probably using an RUU that has lower main version or lower hboot version than what you currently have on the device.
Here's a guide meant for the HTC Sensation. Read through it, the procedure for Amaze is similar: http://tinyurl.com/RUUGuide

You can reboot your phone once you're done and delete the file with a file manager. The only issue you'll have is if you reboot the bootloader.
