Which rom? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello,
I want to have a rom similar to google official (I mean the most oryginal-parts rom, containing Android official Interface (not that from Sony)). Which should I choose? I looked here, but I'm not sure which of them meets my requirements. I got CM 9, but It is little slow and and eating my battery. Please help

Okey, I'm downloading this rom. But do I need to download kernel too and do something or only wipe data, memory and install from zip that rom?

[Q] Switching Cm10 rom

Having just rooted my matrix and installed jokersax's cm10 ROM I'm addicted and I'm wondering what else is possible.
This cm10 build works brilliantly excect the camera doesn't work and the battery life is terrible.
1. Can I install any cm10 ROM or does it have to be customized for the matrix?
2. Would you recommend I try the new cm10 m series builds (monthly builds as I understand)
3. Would I lose my data/apps/launcher customizations? Of course I'll backup first.
4. Is switching to a newer cm10 ROM going to fix problems with the camera/chrome/battery life.
I know these are probably answered elsewhere but I can't seem to find the answers.
Thanks for reading.

Why do you think many people here do ports? Do you think that would be necessary if you could just go and install whatever you want?
Think about it.

Interesting. Nice find, I didn't know this one. I will test to see if it's really KitKat :good:
Edit: it is a beautiful ROM, but it isn't KitKat. It's the same Android JB we all have in our devices. I'm considering to keep it installed.
It is for i8552B

well its nice, much lighter than the original stock rom. Plus its better and much sleeker than the touchwiz. Although its not a major upgrade like cyanogenmod. But yeah, worth more than the stock rom. One of the cleanest rom for grand quattro :good:

Yes, I tested. Let me write a little review.
I would say Bionic Monkey (the name of the rom) is a stock-based rom, with some interesting mods. By default the rom changes the DPI, so more things fit on screen. Some apps are KitKat-themed, like contacts or dialer. The stock launcher was replaced by Google Experience Launcher. It's also pre-rooted and has support to multiwindow. I didn't test multiwindow, but I think it's nice on that rom because of DPI.
The major disadvantage is that the rom is not KitKat, despite the system info. You can test it by installing any app only for KitKat - it will refuse to install.
So, in general, it's a good rom for daily use, so you might give it a try.

There's no KK for us, at least for now. All the roms that claim to be any Android higher than 4.1.2 are actually themed roms with mods on build.prop, but in fact they are Android 4.1.2.
The exception is CM (the one in link provided by you), that is KK in fact. But is still unstable and not suited for daily use.

And so cm11, carbonron, slimkat, back to noot. Which uses less ram when boot?

I personally used Back-to-n00t, with poweramp in the background it's about ~550 at boot, your device will start slow down if you don't reboot though, just like other device. (memory leak)
You need Odin/Mobile Odin to flash Official stock files

One of the biggest advantages on custom ROMs are the kernels. Choose a ROM and ask here or search on google ,which kernel works well with it.
Less ram on boot depends on how many apps start on boot. You can always prevent them from starting with tools like AppMaster

Battery was very good on a lot of kk-roms, although as I understood the OP, he was talking about the newer Roms he didn't check yet.

Sorry, this is just a confusion.
Obviously you talk of the stock based SLiM Rom, and I was referring to the famous aosp-/cm-based slim Rom.
I hate the name they chose, it's so similar to slimrom.

I recommmnd the Google Style ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/rom-google-style-v1-0-t3300253
It's a Sony stock-based ROM with AOSP/CM apps. The fastest ROM I've ever used, and I get very regularly over 5h SOT with very, very heavy usage

Yes, you can. I am check the screenshot.
First flash Rakesh's port 4.8 full rom as a base for Z2. Then on your link download the 4.9 OTA and flash it.
Later you can change your buildprop line for model number to say D6503.

No its not as much slimed down like Purex or Google -Style and far away from the ~300mb of AOSP - like Roms.
But hey, if you install it as your first rom, it will go on systems partition anyway, so why bother? There are lots of people that say it's smooth and battery saving (although some complain about 4.9 being not so battery -friendly as the version before).
I am curious about which marshmallow-roms will show up, and till then I just stay with GoogleStyle as my primary.
Even spent some Bucks on AOKP, cause they made my old HTC wildfire run android 4.04 with tons of features and a power -saving mode I haven't seen on any z2-rom (autoswitch to 2g at screen off) so far....

Atm there are MM-builds of Validus, AOKP, AOSP, CM13 (and possibly others) available, hope Sony releases their official version soon.

[ADVICE] Installing Rom

Hello everyone,
I've been using the Pocophone F1 for quite some time now and really like it but I'd like to install another rom because I don't want all the bloatware.
I did already watch some tutorials which explains how to unlock the bootloader but where do I download the right TWRP version? (I think I have the international version of the Pocophone)
Also, Pixelrom seems very good or would you guys recommend another rom?
Thanks in advance!

Each ROM has its own uniqueness. What may be the best ROM for me may not be the best ROM for you. Once you try a new ROM for a few days, try changing ROMs. You will settle for one that you like best. Some ROMS will have Battery life, some have performance, some are pleasing to the eyes, some have additional features that you may like, some may have features that you don't use at all. So asking which is the best ROM is not correct.
Try different ROMs, the Opening Post will tell you its USP, decide and go ahead.
