Stock x10mini pro Android 2.1 backup - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi all,
I would like to ask you which is the best way to backup my x10mini pro (contacts, sms, mms ...) I dont need to back up apps. I know that this topic should be somewhere there but I was unable to find it.
After backup I would like to install Ginger Bread and restore my data. On my HD2 there is no problem with all that because I have rooted phone, but on the x10 mini pro Iam lost.
Thanks in advice

Well I used that program, but it just didn't backup my sms and mms. I am going to find another one ...

just hit advanced restore instead of restore with gosms and it will bring you the backuped data to restore

just use superbackup app

[Q] Sms backup?

What do you guys use to backup your SMS'S when you switch rom's?
I'm using elelinux 2.2 and going from 1.8 > 1.9 but no matter what tool I use to restore my sms's the messaging app just freezes and says unresponsive until I reboot the phone, I have a feeling this has to do with restoring around 8000 texts but I need to know how to do it ><
Help appreciated =D
i often use My back Up pro .. & it gives me a good results always .
Download WaveSecure from the market !
Titanium Backup also restored sms/mms.

[Q] 2.1 sms restore problems

Before I updated to 2.1 I saved all my sms messages to the sd card using the option in messaging. In 2.1 there doesn't seem to be any way of restoring them
Uh oh. I never used the built in backup.
It's a little too late for you, but for others, before upgrading, download "SMS Backup & Restore (by Ritesh Sahu)" on the Market (free) and backup.
It creates an XML (text) file that is easily read/edited/restored.
It saves onto your SD card at /sdcard/SMSBackupRestore/yyymmddhhmmss.xml
Upgrade to 2.1, then reinstall SMS Backup & Restore and restore that XML file.

[Q] why android 2.2.1 no timescape and backup&restore one????

why android 2.2.1 no timescape and backup&restore one????
anyone can giv me this 2 apk for android 2.2.1...
Excuse me please, what? Nobody want such things in Froyo. Sony made no version for Froyo because they don't want to supply the Xperia X10 with Froyo.
Forgot such crap apps.

Oh dear.
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
If you want this crappy features try the stock SE rom
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
There is no version of Timescape or Mediascape that will work with 2.2.
You will have to use 2.1 if you actually want to use the SE bloatware.

LMAO!! Timescape? Dude... are you okay? ^^
LOL ^^ That's really funnny ^^
for backup&restore you have xRecovery
agree with my austrian friend, who posted before me
no one likes that laggy **** app, called time/mediascape
backup & restore apps are free in the market..
its so laggy, and drains so much battery. why do you want that?
If you really want SE's junk then go back to stock rom. Though I cant see why someone would want to do that..

did you make a backup on xrecovery first before your new rom? Make another backup of your current situation, then go back to prior backup, save contacts to your sd card (which you should always do anyway) by clicking the menu button while in your contacts app and clicking "export", then to sd card. Then go to the most recent backup, go into contacts app again and click import from sd card. Voila, all fixed...
everybody hate it! LOL....
even on my stock 2.1 rom, i've deleted mediascape and use the original gallery and music player instead
If only Timescape was more optimized, it could have been a great app. I mean you have to admit, it is aesthetically pleasing.
i must agree
the eye candy is really nice to look at
just that the laggin it brings is unbearable
It has nothing to do with Froyo, you couldn't install Timescape, Mediascape and Backup and Restore on 2.1 AOSP either. They're signed to only work on SE ROM. You will have to reinstall a ROM based on stock-SE firmware and backup your contacts in another way.
Easiest way is to sync contacts with google account, so they'll be automatically restored on every ROM when you sign into your account. Other way is to export them into a vcf-file on your SD card, like someone said before.
I don't really know about backing up messages, but there are lot of free apps on the market to backup and restore these. Just don't use Titanium Backup, since it caused force closes on message apps for some people after restoring the messages.

[Request] SE x10 backup & restore application compatible with froyo

hi guys,
i just flashed my x10 to froyo from the original 2.1 rom. Before that i've backup my contacts with backup & restore application now i have the apk as well but i cannot install in on my froyo.. i need help if anyone can make the apk compatible with froyo or guide on how to install it using xrecovery.
Probably not so easily done.
I'd suggest flashing back to Stock and backing it up with another method.

Use MYbackup application which is available in Market..
MyBackup Pro for is working great for me,you can backup and restor your sms, contacts, calendar, music playlist, call log, alarms, system settings, apps and photos i'll send you lnk with the full version of the program if you want in pm
u can export your contact to sd.
and i use nebackup for sms backup.
Mybackup root does the job and its free in market
sent from my Commodore 64
thx for the help.... thumps up!!!
My backup pro restored my messages but failed to restore contacts
my contacts are always just backed up to my google account automatically so I've never worried about those.
And the SE Backup and Restore app will not work on any rom that isn't created by SE.

Backup from 2.1 to 2.3

I am currently using stock firmware 2.1
and i heard from se blog that backup&update is removed from 2.3.3 due to incompatibility.
So i was wondering if there a way to backup SMS, MMS and Call Logs on my current 2.1 and restore it in the new 2.3
(I know there are alot of backup apps in market but all seem not working well)
I am planing to use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192988 instead of stock rom >..<
Thanks,
johnlth93
