Android 4.0.4 experiencing auto-reboot

After upgrading my SGS2 to 4.0.4 and rooting the device I'm expecting auto-reboot. The device gets freezed and reboots automatically on lots of applications. Please advice what needs to be done.

From what I have read and my own experience, 4.0.4 isn't very good, i suggest going back to 4.0.3 or using a custom rom?

Wipe cache and do factory reset. Also you can try to reinstall problematic apps from Google Play. It should help to update them to ICS.
I also suggest downgrade to 4.0.3.

Contrary to what everyone here is saying, 4.0.4 is the most stable version of ICS for galaxy SII.
I have tested it myself. It has the closest smoothness and stability close to gingerbread.
Please answer the following questions:
1. What's your ROM details (check it with *#1234#)
2. How did you ROOT your device?
3. Did you wipe your device after upgrade? I'm sure you didn't and please don't do it, read the important note below.
*****NOTE****
Stock Samsung 4.0.4 Roms and custom Samsung Roms using stock kernel and CF-ROOT(maybe) will brick your device if you do factory reset. I suggest installing Siyah, speedmod or dream kernel before trying that.
If you can provide answers to the questions above, I'll help you since your problems within the next few posts.

Which is the best method to root an unlocked galaxy S3?

Hello, I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300, and I'd like to know if you could help me out on getting proper instructions on how to get it rooted? I've read about using Odin3-v1.85.zip and CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.zip but I don't know if the method is outdated or what, thanks!
This forum is for Verizon. If you have the international version you should ask here:

Use odin. There should be a sticky in the s2 threads on how to flash back to stock. Its really easy and very safe.

Help transferring from stock to rooted phone?

I have a completely stock AT&T S3 and am wanting to transfer all settings to a rooted and unlocked AT&T S3. I want to also get the latest Android for both phones and be able to unlock and root the stock phone after transferring everything.
Can anybody walk me through the steps for the above procedure?
I'm somewhat familiar with TWRP, less ADB and ODIN.
Thanks in advance for any help, I appreciate it.
