[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 Downgrade - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 running 4.1.2 Rom on it. I wanted to downgrade it to 4.0 ICS Official. Is it possible to do with ruining the phone or even bricking it? I bought this phone used and I didn't put the rom on it. Can I have a answer Please

Use odin. There should be a sticky in the s2 threads on how to flash back to stock. Its really easy and very safe.

yeah, i want to know also
Yes, I think that's possible using ODIN. I'm not entirely sure though, maybe root is required. In any case, JellyBean is ICS with a bunch of useful improvements. So if you like ICS, you'll only like JellyBean more.
Yes it is possible and most of the times it does not require root. Google shipped roms for your phone and download the ics one.

Yes, guys u can. Just download the ICS stock rom for your device from the net and flash it via odin and it does not require root but there are chances of a BRICK.
If u want that guide for your device then contact me.

Selling phone, need stock EVERYTHING.

Hi guys,
I'm selling my GS2 via eBay, and to cover myself I want to set everything back to how it was when I bought the phone, just with the latest software/ firmware.
I'm currently running a SuperNexus build if that helps.
I was wondering if someone could link me to the files I'd need.
Huge thanks.

Go to 4.1.2 or 4.0.4 stock rom, factory reset and unroot it, that will do it.

[Q] Galaxy S2 i9100 Official Android 4.1.2 Firmware

Does any one have the download link for Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (i9100) Samsung Official Firmware? I flashed a custom rom to my Galaxy s2 without creating a firmware backup so I cannot revert or downgrade to original rom. So I was wondering if I could download official 4.1.2 firmware then I can flash it. One more thing pls: A friend of mine own a galaxy s2 i9100 and it has the same version of firmware that I am looking for, so can I make a backup of its firmware and flash it to my s2 or copy its firmware as a zip file or something.

No it does not. You only have to register, for free, in order to DL firmwares. Nothing premium required. Stop spreading nonsense.
Also, next parrot who posts 'Go to Samfirmware' to this thread dies. Once was enough, 3 times is ridiculous. What the hell is wrong with you people ?
I thought it was premium ..
Thank u man
