Flashtool MTP option - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey,
I have read alot of topic about flashtool. Also Read this topic Howto Flashtool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
But when i cannot my phone with flashtool i`ll get this error:
20/021/2012 09:21:58 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
20/021/2012 09:21:58 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
20/025/2012 09:25:30 - INFO - Device disconnected
I already turn the USB debugging mode on. But when i go to Settings -> Xperia -> Connection -> USB- Connection its stay on MTP. When i click its say Bla bla bla this modus is default on. THere is no way to disbale MTP.
Is there any option ?

Hey! I've a Xperia X8 and already have debugging mode turned on and it appears the same message to me: "be sure you're not in MTP mode"
how did you fixed that?
Cheers!

[Q] Xperia Sk17a Root fail.

I want root Xperia Sk17a with the last firmware, but when using the flashtool I have the following error:
16/020/2012 15:20:37 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
16/020/2012 15:20:37 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
but... USB debugging off and MTP is ON!
If no solution to this, I saw that when you unlock the bootloader could be done as root, but as you unlock then? ..
Thanks!
You probably have .062 firmware
first of all your english is realy hard to understand,
all i understand is you saying that USB debugging is off and MTP is on,
if yes, then you are doing it wrong, turn on USB debugging and disable MTP mode,
go to settings-sony ericsson-connectiivity-USB connection mode and choose MSC mode, go back and uncheck 'auto connection in 'MSC', then enable USB debugging and connect

Sorry, I have a bad English. But you understand very well.
Just try it, but does not work
16/036/2012 15:36:20 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
16/036/2012 15:36:20 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
If you can not make it work, I would like a guide to unlock the bootloader.
Again, sorry for my English, I'm using google translator in a few words xD
Thanks for the replies!
Edit: I'm reflashing the phone with Wotan to get the previous firmware.
.62 firmwares cant be rooted.

Return to the version 4.0.2.A.0.58 ... flashtool continues with the same error.

try doomlord's easy rooting kit, google it, you will find it
I used Superoneclick. Most convenient way of rooting. No matter locked or unlocked bootloader *applies only to fw below .62.

I am on ICS 4.0.4 build 6.1.A.0.452 on my xperia S.
Rooting guide for 4.0.4(locked bootloader) is available by doomlord...But one of the requirement says phone to be in USB Msc connection mode. my question is ,everyone says to select MSC mode in settings-xperia-connectivity.
But its not there in my phone!!simply no option at all!!
there is an option of mount usb in settings-storge,but that is always grayed out
wether connected or not

haha, never seen any option in this regardless of MTP only. Going to Themes & apps thread and you'll see a thread " Sdcard mounter for ics "

Yes ,actually doomlord posted a tool for getting USB mass transfer mode when we(xperia s)were in Gingerbread. But people say ICS already have it!!I dont see it anywhere in settings.

see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1744878
but actually you need root access to install that app & on other hand you need Msc mode enabled to "root" stock ICS!!
So what should be done?
I want to root it

Hey, no need msc mode enabled to root. What you need is install cwm & install su.zip in cwm

I'm new here. I am now also searching how to root my xperia neo with ics in mtp mode. It seems to me that you also need root to install cwm.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks

I rooted my Sola using Flashtool v0.9.6.0. Works perfectly for me.
Download the flashtool from here and root it. Make sure you are in MSC mode too.

anyone?
i installed adb drivers, in msc mode and usb debugging enabled its here in device manager as "android phone". but why it can't seen in flashtool as usb debugging on ? when i try in command prompt with android-sdk typing adb devices there's not any devices. why?
I have exactly the same problem with my Xperia U.
Help!
Same problem with my Xperia U too ....
Any way to have usb debug "on" ?
(Of course I have usb debugging enabled in menu, confirmed in the notification bar ...)
Update to ver 10 ( flashtool)
sent via mighty SOLA running eXperience on CM9!!
I have the exact same problem. I tried everything and nothing works. Any idea?
try to make a factory data reset and try to turn it on
or try try to flash the ics rom again
if nothing work you need to be an unlocked bootloader user
or if you tried to root with restore while you are opening the flash tool it wont work cuz the root with restore makes any rooting programe not work

Companion should be off. The xperia is connected?
upload a screenshot please.
I had this error when debug mode wasnt on..
Do you have an usb hub? Better use the direct usb connector.

Make sure your drivers are installed correctly. If on Windows 8+ you have to install them in safe mode to get them to install properly!
You might have the same problem with me which i already fixed it.
head over to my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/help/z2-install-adb-driver-t2833551
Also make sure that you are using usb 2.0. I plugged my device in usb 3.0 and it wouldn't let me change my device driver.
Thanks All Of You Guys I Root My Phone The Problem Was i used usb 3 and i should use usb 2 and i wasn't debugging my driver
