Hey I've got an old X10 mini, where I've tried to unlock the bootloader.
I used SpyderX's "big guide of bootloader unlocking" p) and in the end I realized that the run "msm7227_semc.cmd" -step should be run while having the phone turned on :S
It worked and I got to flash nAa's kernel.
That's where everything went south.
It would show the nAa kernel's loading screen, then just black screen forever.
I then went into recovery"mode" and wiped userdata (I think).
Then it restarted.. or rather it shut down and did nothing.
Now it isn't recognized by seus or anything and I can't get into recovery mode.
The only thing it does is that little charging indicator is blinking red when pressing power, and also when plugging it in the PC.
I'm not too fuzzed about it, but I'd just like to know if it's totally bricked or there's anything that can be done to recover it without sending it to service.
Thx in advance
try flashing another kernel :-??

You could try to repair it using PC Companion of SEUE. It doesn't sound it's all that dead to me. You just forgot to install a custom ROM after you flashed the kernel, and the stock rom won't boot on nAa's kernel, that's why it did nothing.

Hi guys my brother has managed to royally mess his phone up. He rooted it when the first method came owt and uninstalled a bunch of stuf via titanium backup. Now he has decided to sell it so performed a factory reset on it. After doing this the phone would just hang on the sony ericson screen so he tried to reflash using seus but it would always give him installation failed message. So i tried flashing using bin4ry flashtool, which took 9 seconds to complete so something must of gone wrong as the phone will not boot at all and neither seus or pc companion or my pc will recognise it when trying to enter flash mode. Any help guys?

No problem.
If you're still having problems, I had the exact same problem your brother had, it would just hang on the "Sony Ericsson" screen. I followed the steps in this video and it helped me get back to 1.6:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AZ_10cvd9k
if you have the white se logo and cant boot into xrec there is another way to get into xrec and restore backups rather than a SEUS
1) connect your phone to a charger and wait till it goes onto battery icon
2)then hold the power button for a moment till it vibrates
3)do whatever you need to do in xrecovery
if this helped you dont be afraid to thank me
Mods: if this method has allready been posted please delete this thread
That's actually a neat tip, thanks
Thats allright hope it helps zou in one of those download brick no pc to SEUS argh no phone!!!!

If you have a rom without offline charging then this will be impossible to do this requires a rom which supports offline charging

Well folks, my first question thread (Actually first thread started by me, ever). So first of all, sorry for any possible mistakes.I'll try to be as concise as I can, however it's hard with a situation as complicated as mine. I searched all around, and didn't find a case like this one. Well, I have this x10a, and after upgrading it to 2.1, it never booted again. SEUS reported a successful flash. It made it once to the homescreen, but rebooted soon after. Twice it stuck on the SE logo, now I only get the flashing red led. Phone charges the battery, and even with its own battery, charged either internally or with external charger, or other battery, it fails to boot. I can get to flashmode, but it seems to be stuck there. Sometimes it enters flashmode without pressing the back button However, it disconnects while flashtool or SEUS are trying to flash it. It flashes part of the .FTF and fails... I am no noob at this, and I've been pulling my hair over this phone for some 2 weeks...PC Companion recognizes it as a quite generic "Sony Ericsson Phone", and fails to start restoring it.
Help one desperate dude, please.
Thanks in advance

My phone is fully stock. Bootloader and ROM are (were?) the factory-installed ones.I didn't even get to root the thing! Tried tons of different FTFs already. Could it be my PC, maybe? I don't have another machine where to test. I can enter flashmode removing and reinserting battery, but phone fails to flash. SEUS once flashed it nearly until the end, but failed at around 90%...What makes me wonder what happened is the fact that the phone was bricked by an official update!
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
was something more to do with my laptop environment than the phone. Because the Wotan client came with it's own driver, which my device loaded and used when I connected it holding the back button, this seemed to make the phone stay in flash mode when connected.
From this experience I don't think holding the back button puts an X10 into flash mode, it merely asks the host 'can I be in flash mode?' and either the host says yes or no.
In the post i linked so i supposw it can be driver related.
An in that post it got it to STAY in flash mode ... try looking for drivers on seus webpage

1 more thing i found
- While this process is running, please don't disconnect your phone from PC. If you disconnect the phone or the battery power is dropped then the process will be interrupted..... causing your phone unbootable!!
But don't worry because you can repeat the step above to re-flash your phone until the process complete.
so let the phone charge for about an hour or two to make sure if you can not check its status
hope you get it running again!
Well, I left it charging. It won't get worse, since its dead as a brick already. When I arrive home i'll finish flashing LG O2X, then i'll give the x10 some attention.

What is your model-number?
How did you flash the ROM and (maybe) where did you get it from?
Do you have a locked or an unlocked bootloader?

dead battery maybe? try putting it on the charger for a couple of hours.
If you used flashtool, make sure the firmware you have is not corrupted. Maybe you can try a repair with PC Companion or SEUS.
Hi,
Firstly relax. It is the battery which is dead n not your phone. Get a new one n it will work fine.. Also try ur luck by pulling out the battery for sometime n put it back again. Sometime works.
Hope that help.

I forgot to make a backup from my stock system, and now i can't install any 2.3 based rom, because xrecovery don't allow that because of the ICS.
Is there a possibility to download stock rom and kernel, and flash it to the phone?
Why not. Search for the firmware for your phone and flash through flashtool following the on screen instructions. Cant ttell you exact build number because im an arc user using this now because the USB port is broken.

So when i understand it good, then with flashtool i can flash any GB based rom on the ICS as well. Can i make it from a "zip" rom? When i flash a cm7, i don't need to change the fxp kernel.

No what im saying is that you wanna return to stock dont you. So I told you to flash a stock gb ftf using flashtool. But you do NOT flash custom Roms using flashtool, you boot into recovery and flash. And no, you can't turn a ftf into a zip
Edit; if I understood you correctly you wanted to flash cm7 ddont you... its simple... just flash the kernel through flashtool then boot into recovery and wipe everything and flash tthe rom. No need to flash stock first because the recovery is bundled in the kernel!

I solved the problem, the phone worked properly for months, but now i can't switch on the phone. The green led blinks, the phone vibrate one time and than nothing happens. I tried to flash some firmwares, but i can't made it. Flashtool wrote that flashing and nothing happens. I tried with Omnius as well, but the software can't read flash memory and can't flash anything. I think the phone is "hard bricked". Can anyone help me to save my phone?

I tried it with an LG GT540 battery, but the effect was the same. But with the original battery the phone didn't vibrate yet, just blink the red notification LED 3 times, and that's all. I tried to charge the battery (not with PC, with charger) and the phone did a strange thing. First when the charger attached, the RED LED blinking and after some time it turned to GREEN and stop blinking, just lighted. After some time the green LED turns off and then nothing lights.
In my environment nobody has X10 phone, that's why I can't try another original X10 battery, but I think with the LG battery must have work as well, when the battery is the failure.
Hello I did have had this problem aswell a while ago. I have had the phone in cwm recovery while doing a backup I fell asleep next day won't turn on only vibrate 1 time and 3 red blinks after it..
I really was desperate I tried many methods even flashed a kernel with offline charging which I thought was the trick but not that I realy now off.
I did notice i could get in recovery if I connect phone in flashmode and leave it till it reboots it's own should happen within 40 secs I guess.
After I saw that it could do that why it's not booting... I did some digging but I am not sure but I guess it's a file or binary (batterystats.bin) in data/system directory somewhere which keeps track of your battery and even if you plug new full battery it simply thinks it drained of the previous saved info of your old battery. (hope someone can confirm this because I didn't find any info such about but it should make sense if you ask me)
But in the end I used Sony PC companion to reapair it from there and it worked only one weird thing I needed to do was switching from USB power adapter to PC USB to have it connect in flashmode strangely.
And after that I only needed to root etc. again.

Hi!
I have found the solution last time, and it works for a while, but i don't know how.
But now we were on holiday, and I forgot the charger, and the phone was switched off for 3 days, and the problem came out again.
I have an RC car which have a LiPO charger, I made an own "connector" to that and I charged the battery with that.
Could you please tell me, how you switched from "USB power adapter to PC USB" when the phone don't switch on?
Thanks!
