Hey guys i can download alot of apps from the Play store but i just cant download Titanium backup! it always says "Insufficent storage available" i tried downloading it on a sense rom that dint work , and now im CM9 that dint work either! i used MarketFix but still..i have over 350 mb of free space help would be appreciated!
Have you tried a reboot? Clear the data/cache from the Market (play store)? Also, sometimes the market will just give you this error randomly if there is a problem with their servers. Try again in a day or so.
dont remember but somewhere in system files titanium backup make some files.. even if u uninstall titanium backup files stay there.
u must delete manually to resolve error.
Ok try here: /data/app and delete com.<titaniumbackup>.odex then try install again

I did a full restore on my SGA. Then I did a root. As to keep all my apps, I used Appmonster to backup and restore my apps. Problem is now, all my apps are gone from the market list, thus I cannot update my applications. Any ideas on how to fix this?
That's weird. After restoring the apps they should reappear in Market. I haven't used Appmonster, but I use Titanium all the time for this purpose and it always work.
Have you tried installing something new? Maybe the list in market wasn't refreshed properly?

Try to install Titanium Backup from Market. There is option in menu to FIX market links to apps. Its worked for me! Try it and let me know if it worked.

I tried this exactly. and it said "Market Doctor has found no recoverable market link".
I think the reason for this is, appmonster, when it recovered my apps installed them from backup apk files it placed on my sd card. And as such the market had no idea they were being installed. but I was half expecting from posts for market to remember which apps I previously installed - only to find it remembered none.
This is such a hassle not being bale to update any of my apps. All regret
The only reason I used appmonster was because I was not yet rooted at the time.
try to delete your sd-card...

If you see your apps in Titanium B.., try to back up them in Titanium B.. Then try to restore them with Titanium again and after that, try MARKET DOCTOR. I dont know is it helping, but you can try it. It want cost you nothing. If it not helping then... NO IDEAS from me right now!
I tried fiddling with titanium backup. I haven't gotten it to fix my market links.
But i did find a solution!
All i did was force stop the market application from the settings and cleared it's data. once i reset the Market and accept the terms. All my apps are back! YEHEY!

I backed up my apps using Titanium backup and I tried flashing the codename android rom but when i tried to restore my apps using titanium, a lot of the apps cant be installed. Will i have to re-install all the apps one by one? What will happen to the app data?
Thanks

I've never personally had good luck restoring App + Data. I think it only worked for me maybe two or three times out of all the times I've tried to restore.
I've had much better luck re-installing the apps from the Market (now Play Store) individually, and using Titanium to restore JUST the app Data.
It makes it a pain, but at least it works, and you only have to do it once.

How is this at all the same problem?
Sounds like you lost root when you updated, and need to re root. Also sounds like your AOKP install either was a wipe install, or you did a wipe when you installed, thus wiping out your apps.
ok,, after doing some research & analysis.. & also with some help from my fried.. i have restored the apps.. but they are not restored properly.. i havent checked all apps.. but when i opened whatsapp i see tat the display picture of 1 contact is applied to the display picture of another contact.. its reflected in people app as well..

Internal or external sd?
I don't know anything about AOKP, so I doubt I can help much. You are probably better off asking for help in the ROM thread.
Also you can restore your APP manually using the APK installer. Just locate where those APKs are stored...
Hope this helps!
i tried to download the update on play store .
it removed titanium backup and wouldnt install saying (insufficient storage available) even though i have 10GB
i copied titanium backup folder to pc then deleted from phone and tried again but it still will not install (insufficient storage available)
Hello.
I had the same problem but i search on forum before create a post.
You need to install root explorer and select search.... type Titanium backup and delete all things found.
Restart and try to install again.
i did do a search , but posted in the wrong section when i did http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674053
also i tried waht you said, and it hasnt worked
OK I was restoring this phone by reflashing it stock + rooting for my own reasons.
So I restored my +- 200 apps with titanium backup.
When I start my phone normally all apps would be visible (and on occasion they are and work fine)
The missing apps for as far as I know are located on SD-card Internally (not the real ext sd card) I think this is known as USB storage? (i used move to the sd card in titanium (but we know its not the real SD-card) Therefore remounting the EXT - sd card has 0 effect.
Anyway I dont know why these apps wont continue to show! I cant even find them anymore in application manager
what I do notice in application manager is Greyed out apps that say com.xxxxx.xxxxx and There are quite a few of them I believe these are the missing apps.
How can I restore these greyed out apps? (notice sometimes they are working fine!)
Thanks.
Delete them and restore with out data. Just the app. See if that helps.
Bump! dont know what is going on!
Go back to stock and restore apps with playstore. See if that helps

Some of these apps arent from playstore...I use blackmart too and modded google playstore. BUT this problem was before I installed this modded google play store so its not about that.
How would this help me?? I cant restore like 40 apps 1 for 1.. some have really weird name in storage too! hardly recognisable.
Same here mate but you can't restore apps and data with titanium bkup if you have used say 4.3 and you restore apps and data on 4.2.2 you will end up with problems. This is why I've said restore apps without data. Once restored reboot the phone and should be ok. That's what I do and have no problems
I properly configured it after I flashed a new ROM and TiB just can't find the backup in my Dropbox. I can't find the answer but it seems other people have the same problem. I really don't want to have to download all the individual backup files and reinstall my apps one by one. That's not why I bought the Pro key for TiB. So...does anyone know how I restore my apps from my backup?
Edit: After 4 tries of uninstalling and reinstalling, apparently, you just need to hit Run in the Schedules section and it will download it from your Dropbox.
Edit: So it appeared to download all my apps but it still wouldn't let me actually restore the apps or data...
Edit: And it somehow managed to get itself to work. Problem unintentionally solved.
