Im going to do it again on my windows xp 32 bit computer. Would that help? Was i doing anything wrong. And can i please have a 2.3.4 sbf file link?

While tuning one the phone, press up and if your phone writes stareing rds protocol, then you are in rds mode.
Root? Okay..
But to install kernel you have to have an unlocked bootloader.
Have you?
Edit: btw aln kernels are in beta! Not too say in alpha.. Most of them install them to report bugs to dev creator..
For flashind sbf, make sure you have almost full battery.. So don't waist your bat..

You did something wrong during the SBF process (of course). You have to make sure that your phone was in RSD mode (which it now is in) and use RSD Lite (on windows) or SBF_flash (linux and mac) to flash the SBF onto the phone.
Also, MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS DULLY CHARGED. I got an error the first time I SBF'd cuz I didn't do that. Had to get a new battery and then flash.
Hope this helped.

Try downloading the file with Firefox or chrome and extract the .gz file with 7zip
Also there is a 2.3.3 and a 2.2.2 sbf file, try them both

did you download the motorola x64 or 32-bit drivers?
you need the sunfire drivers for your phone (in fast boot, etc) to work right with rsdlite

Well... I've done it again... But this time I can't seem to unbrick it. I tried to flash hanthesolo's stratusrom but it failed and bootlooped. So I went and tried restore from a backup that had cm7. For some reason it bootlooped again. so I went in to Odin and tried to go back to stock just to get things working again. I failed and ended up going to stock recovery with a bunch of errors. So then I just panicked and tried flashing different combos of pit files and roms and stuff. Now I can boot into cwm. But I still can't restore from an older backup or revert to stock firmware. Any ideas???

I made instructions for the US device. Read them below in the thread. (it is normal that no .tar.md5 are here)
Drivers fail to install. I also can't open heimdall frontend exe. Some dll file is missing or something.

You will need Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributables. And put your device into download mode when your are installing the drivers.
I can't seem to find windows visual c++ 2010 for x32. And I did have my player in download mode when I installed the drivers.

It happened to me I don't know how to solve it so I used another usb plug.
Been trying to unlock my mophos bootloader and I've been very careful to make sure I do it right and not brick my phone. I installed RSD Lite 4.9 but when I plug my phone to the usb and reboot into rsd nothing happens, my device isn't listed either. Am I missing something? (Using Windows 7 64 bit.)

If you are on 2.3.5 you cannot unlock. If you are 2.3.4, download the Root-Unlock-Relock pack (links located in the Photon Compendium). It been available since April and has RSD lite 5.6.
Yes I am still in 2.3.4 and rooted. Would I have to get rid of my root to unlock the boot?

No you don't. Did you install the drivers?
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
Yes I did install the drivers. I managed to run the unlock tool but couldn't execute the fastboot command. Downloaded the file but every time I try to extract the files I kept getting a diagnostic error message...

If you pulled the files form my site you need to use 7-zip. Rezipping them in a standard zip format is on the list but it will make the files larger.
Thanks guys for the help, I have my bootloader unlocked after several tries. Only problem now is that most of the pictures on my sd card are now corrupted. Has anyone experience this too? I was under the impression that this process wouldn't affect my data while the card was still mounted so I didn't consider going through the trouble of backing up. In all honesty this wasn't worth loosing my files. But thanks anyway...

It was actually stated to remove SD card while doing this although my SD card wasn't affected

This all happened while I was trying to flash the MIUI rom. Went through the configuration and when it said I was done my phone never recovered from the boot image screen. So I tried flashing a few more times and even picked a different zip file all to no avail. Kept getting an "error while flashing boot image" so I decided to do an advanced restore. When it was all said and done my phone came back in but most of the data on my sd card was corrupted. Hopefully I will be able to recover my pics and stuff...

Hi Marz, does this mean I should stop trying the Photon Torpedo method since the only tidbit of files I need is the photon-torpedo.tar which I am waiting for someone to upload again before I try to work with my 2.3.5 Photon? ;(
Thanks,
