Dude, Just try what I said to you before in your other (help) post. You will see it works great (It works on every rom).
Now I'm really sure you have a rooted galaxy player... Also, if you don't quite understand my detailed explanation there are some other people that
share there fixes for whapp on tablets. Google it.
There is no special rom needed for whatsapp messenger.
Do you have an rooted android smartphone and galaxy player?
-Install "whatsapp" and "titanium backup" on the phone
-Open whatsapp and activate it.
-Backup the whatsapp data with titanium.
-Open your favorite file-explorer and copy the backup files to an SD-card, personal computer or any cloud service.
-Install whatsapp and titanium backup on your galaxy player.
-Open whatsapp and close it afterwards.
-Backup the whatsapp data from your galaxy player. (This is a fake backup).
-Move the (smartphone) whatsapp files to the titanium backup folder (galaxy player) where the fake backup is saved.
-Remove the fake backup.
-Open titanium backup on your galaxy player and restore your whatsapp backup.
"You are ready to go"
This process should also be possible without a smartphone.
You need to install BlueStacks on your computer.

remove them from the rom if its a custom rom and install
If stock you will need to root and remove on the phone system /apps
Or use TB to freeze or uninstall .
If you remove an essential app then your phone may not boot .

Probably a dumb newb question but If you do this and the phone won't boot, is it bricked forever or can you get it back somehow?
If you install cwm you can make a back up before you touch anything.
Or you could just install the stock Rom for your phone if you get stuck, but that would mean starting from scratch.
In regards to removing apps there are lists stating what apps are safe to remove.

Thanx for help dude
remove default browser?
I have a Galaxy S3 (stock Ice Cream Sandwich) and chrome installed.
Is it OK to remove the standard web browser in order to force all apps that open URLs to use chrome instead?

You dont need to remove the default browser to do that..just make Chrome your default browser..
if you really don't want to use it, just disable in app info. setting-application-all- find your app then disable.

In order to remove stock apps, you first need to root your phone, then install titanium backup, it gives u the option. To either freeze or delete an app. If u not sure if an app should be deleted u can freeze it first to see what effect this has. The paid version allows u to batch restore. Any updates to your firmware will replace any stock apps u deleted. U can install rom manager to backup your ROM.

Hello
two days ago I flashed the DHD from my daughter with Sabsa Prime V12.
All seem to be ok but we still missing some apps.
There is no galery app to view the pictures, no musicplayer app, no calendar app and no mail app except gmail.
So it is necessary to install all of them from Play Store or is it a error? But I have exactly done what is described into the installation video fro sabsa prime.
Or is there a error which results into this missing apps?
Are the apps shown in the system apps? Or just go to root of your system /app and install them
FRIEND IF I HELPED YOU
HIT THANKS
I must take a look in the evening when my daughter is back.
Can I simply install them like all other apk?
Yes install them normally
IMP to browse root of your syestem , download a good file manager and give it root access if they are not shown in settings-manage apps-all and if you don't find in syestem/app then you might have to reflash the rom or simplly download them from play store
WhatsApp for the Galaxy Players / S WiFis
NOTE: Guide might be outdated. Meanwhile, there are easier methods to install WhatsApp on Wi-Fi only devices.
[1]Intro
At first: Sorry for my bad English!
In this thread I'll show you, how you can get WhatsApp on your Samsung Media Player
[2]Required
- Samsung Media Player
- Rooted Firmware
- Internet Connection
- WhatsApp Apk from here: http ://www.whatsapp. com/android/ (Delete the empty lines, i can't post links)
- Dropbox-Account
[3]How-To
1. If you haven't downloaded the BlueStacks AppPlayer yet, download it from here http ://bluestacks .com (empty lines, again!)
2. After installing BlueStacks, you have to reboot your system
3. Start BlueStacks and click on the search button
4. Search for "WhatsApp" and install it from Google Play
5. After you installed WhatsApp, search for "Dropbox" and install it from Google Play, too
6. If Dropbox ist succesfully installed, search for "Titanium Backup" and install it from Google Play, too
7. Check if everything is install, when not you have to reboot your PC and try it again
8. Now start WhatsApp and set it up
9. Start TitaniumBackup and Dropbox and set them up, too
10. When you're finished, start Titanium Backup and make a backup (Data+APK) of WhatsApp
11. Close Titanium Backup and open Dropbox and upload the backup files (there are 3 files) from Titanium (Stored in" /TitaniumBackup")
12. If everything is uploaded, you can close BlueStacks
13. Unlock your Galaxy Player/ S WiFi and install TitaniumBackup (Google Play), Dropbox (Google Play) and WhatsApp (Internet)
14. If everything is installed, you have to set up Titanium and Dropbox but not WhatsApp
15. Open Dropbox and export the 3 backup files to "/sd-card/TitaniumBackup"
16. Now open Titanium and go to the tab "Backup/Restore"
17. Restore the files from WhatsApp
[18. If Titanium says: "No Backup of WhatsApp", you have to reset Titanium Backup (Settings>Applications>Installed>Titanium Backup> Clear data) and restart by step 16]
19. Open WhatsApp and Enjoy!

Thanks man I thought about doing this in a similar way, using a low-end Android and backup from there but the root on that phone stopped working after the binary update, and I can't find the stock rom to revert it lol (su.bin and su.apk are still there but with 0 bytes) so I never did it. Anyway thanks!
I Just want to add something, when you restore the backup. In case, the device asks you to install whatsapp (while restoring files), you should install but do not open it and let Titanium restore all files.
Edited my mistake

You're welcome! You can find the stock rom for your device here: http ://forum.xda-developers.com /showthread.php?t=1884071 (Delete the spaces, i can't post links yet). Thanks for the tipp with the installer, I'll update that soon.
I meant my crappy phone's (a huawei ascend y100) root is damaged not my player, my player is running smooth after some tweaks that I did. But thanks anyway . Worked perfectly on my SGP4.2
Btw it should work on whatsapp plus but you'll have do a backup from a phone and not BlueStacks (I think).

Hi all!
I am searching an application that allows me to backup the .apk files of both user and system applications like AppWererabbit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196069&page=4). The problem is that i need this app to be compatible with android versions below 4.0, i.e. android 2.3.X.
I have already installed titanium backup on my phone, but i miss the ability to set an automatic .apk backup when each system/user app is updated. I think that to keep .apk files of older versions of the same app could be usefull. Anyone has some suggestion, please?
Have you tried using helium?

Thanks for your reply but, as i have already mentioned in the first post of the thread, i have already have TB. Since TB is "THE" backup application, i have searched through the settings but i did not find the ability to set an automatic app backup when app is updated. If you are saying that such an option is available in TB, please tell me how to find it. Thanks.

I personally use ES File Explorer to backup my apps. Theres an option to backup app data too but thats only for rooted phones. But I'm not sure if it'll work on Android versions below 4.0

As file manager i do usually use ES, but i didn't know it had such a function. You can schedule app backups with ES?
I don't think you can do that.

That is the problem. I searched through the option of ES File Manager but i did not find such a feature. The ability to schedule the app backup (as well as the ability to set an auto-backup when updating) is essential to me.
hi
i use my google account on 2 devices: galaxy s3 and nexus 10 tab.
i recently flashed on my s3 a paranoid rom. there, i was asked to sign in to my google account (like always when u set up a phone) but then it downloaded automatically all apps i had on my phone before (under play store ALL) and id also knew, which apps i just use on my tablet and did not install those!
know, i finally found which rom i prefer to use from now on (cyanomod).
does anybody know how to force playstore to restore the device like id happend on the other rom?
and NO, have no other backups of my app, and the app data is not importent, i just dont want to download all apps manually.
