Is there a way to disable the navigation bar?
When I flash this ROM all the data that normally goes to SDCard is being put on the external card. Any way to change this behavior? I tried to use ICS Binder but I can't get it right.
Thank you.

In that case you need to change the gps satellite pool (I think that's what its called :s) to where you live. By default the device is set to the USA, but if you live elsewhere it is easy to change it. I'll post a link tomorrow when I find the post on changing it

Flashed the latest from 12/28 and it's all looking good. Two issues I see though:
1. Home screen widgets keep disappearing randomly
2. Wallpaper seems lower resolution than usual.
Anyone else setting these? Not sure whether this is an upstream issue as well though. Overall excellent work though -- thanks!

Never mind the wall paper resolution issue... There's a wallpaper size in options for launcher which fixed that. So that leaves the widgets issue and blue tooth does not want to turn on.

Phone not ringing
Anyone having issues with the phone not ringing on incoming calls? Vibrate works, but no ringtone or sound.
Hi everybody.
I got a problem with my S3 I9300.
The thing is that it is stuck/freezes very frequently during the day.
Sometimes it doesn't wake up from deep sleep (neither if I hit the home button nor the power on/off button) and sometimes it just reboots and I have to enter the SIM PIN.
I really have no clue what the hell is wrong - it worked like a charme until this thing started (about one week ago).
After I reboot the device it is working for ... I cannot say exactly. Hours? Minutes?
During the night it seems like there is no problem - because if it would freeze/reboot I would not hear my alarm
It is rooted and Cyanogenmod 10.1 is running on it (nightly build from the 28th of April).
Are there any logfiles on the system were I can take a look at or something like this? Something is happening and I want to find out what exactly and how to prevent it from happening.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

I've already "flashed"/updated to the newest Cyanogenmod release without success.
But I can give it a try with another ROM/Stock ROM.
Thanks so far.
Have you tried on Settings>Developer Options to disable all animations?
You can also try Greenify app (for rooted phones only) it's disables unnecessary processes.
And by the way don't forget to clean your cache (you can use Clean Master app for that)

Hi Simonna,
thanks - I'll give it a try.
I'll also test if the issue is still persistent with AOKP ROM. If it is, I will try the Stock ROM.
Many thanks so far.

I flashed to the current AOKP ROM some days ago and I have to say it is running really smooth and stable. Just had one hang and this may has been caused by an app. Maybe something was wrong/faulty with the file system or something.
Furthermore thanks for the "Greenify"-App hint. This is app is brilliant!

Here is the New Google Maps Ver. 7.00
If you are running Android Ver 4.1+ download this apk
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ycdvwzee07g64f4/com.google.android.apps.maps-7.0.0-700002504.apk
If you are running Android Ver 4.2 download this apk
https://www.dropbox.com/s/b680p17tfzjseru/com.google.android.apps.maps-7.0.0.apk
From what I have noticed is it takes away the Navigation and Places Icon as it is all in the Maps app now. Also Latitude is gone from the app and you can no longer access your Location History from the App itself.
Thank you very much sir

Thanks, I haven't had a chance to go out and try it, but it appeared to be working just sitting in one place. This is GREAT news (as long as it continues to hold true)! I can't believe it took over 6 months between Google and HTC to get this fixed. They probably didn't even address it. The fix is likely just a byproduct of the new release. At least it's working.
EDIT: Just tested it on the way home from work, and it worked great!

It still works. Long-press on a location on the map and it will list the address at the bottom. Tap on the address and it will show show you a condensed street view, if available. You can touch the street view again to open it full-size.

Thanks, fin. Yeah, it seems harder to find your way around new maps, but I'm finding all kinds of features that are vastly improved. Like the virtual view in street view, where just moving your phone around is like turning your head. There is no pegman anymore, and only way I've found to move up the street isn't as good as pegman/dragman.

I don't understand this logic. It's not like this is somehow an 'illegitimate' Maps apk. If you find other versions, try those, too.

Well I know it's legit lol, just some are made for different api levels. Our api is 16, and some are made for 17. Btw this apk has target api of 17, but the min it supports is 16

The WiFi should be the same as what is in my kernel. The code in my recent test kernel was all merged into the mainline kernel.
Thanks. I'll test the WiFi some time today. Is anyone else seeing WiFi issues?
Edit: I did some testing and did notice some lower speeds when I ran some speedtests. I haven't ran cm or any other 4.3 roms so I can't say if this is a problem with all 4.3 roms. I'll flash cm or something else tonight and test it further.

Make sure that you didn't install, restore or have Google restore a Super User app. Look in Settings >> Apps >> All and make sure that you don't have anything installed for Super User.
I don't personally have the problem with TiBk. But mine specifically says that Nandroid manager is not compatible with the default SU on 4.3+. I did a fresh clean install on my phone because I was trying to help track down the issue with the kernel scripts.
