so after i reboot my phone, during the lock screen, after the message that shows preparing sd card on the notification bar, a triangle shows up for a few seconds on the notification bar then disappear.
it was "You have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off."
it only shows up during first lock screen when i reboot the phone

nobody has an answer?
I dont know why it says you have lost data connectivity when i dont have 3g on my sim and im on wifi and its working just fine

I have the same problem and no answer. I'm running Dillidroid ROM, but the issue also appeared on other roms i installed so they are not the problem

Nobody knows?

At a complete wild guess, I would say the ROM is expecting a data connection and then can't get one so it flashes up that notification.
I would suggest trying another modem from the modem thread in Android development, maybe one for your network specifically.
Of course, I have not seen this before so just guesses and suggestions

I would Suggest you to Flash another Modem..
Also try Settings > More > Mobile Network > Network Selection
Try setting it to Automatic.
If nothing Happens try option 1

The "automatic" solution didn't work for me.
But after I set the device to "WCDMA only" I have not seen the notification.
Try that.

I believe this happens when you drop from 3G to 2G network.
I have this happen regularly since my providers 3G connection is ****.

This error is shown when the fone dearched for ur carrier. If it's both gsm/cdma, u'll always see this error. Choose CDMA or GSM only.
This may affect the battery life of the fone sometimes..

Grey H, full 3G and no internet service!

So as the title says, I'm experiencing times when I have full 3G (I don't live in a HSPA + area) but the H its greyed out. I can make calls and send texts, but can't access any websites. I'm running ginger blur 3.5 but was experiencing this prior to loading it as well. I'm not running any battery saving apps that may be disabling the internet usage. Usually a reboot of the phone will get me service. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!

This might not help you.. I use a widget that can turn on/off mobile data and sometimes it gets a little screwed up. If I go into settings > data > data manager (I believe) and manually turn it off and back on it sometimes fixes my problem. You could try that instead of rebooting sometimes ..not super helpful advice but ya never know.

Any suggestions are helpful!! I'll be sure to try that the next time it happens! Thanks

Did you configure the APN already? Did you try your SIM card on another phone to discard a problem with your line? Is data enabled in data manager?
Check those. That might be the issue
try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13838602&postcount=5
works perfectly here, no idea why you have to do it though, obviously you need to make sure your apn settings are correct aswell.

[Q] WiFi & Network Signals turn blue when connected to Google Servers.

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a How-To thread on doing this? Or could someone help me do this? I couldn't find any from my search's.
Current ROM: δ-HyperDroid-Androidmeda-v3.0 (with petsaj's surgeon)
This feature is already there in the Hyperdroid + petsaj surgeon combo I use. The reason I ask on a how-to for this is because, for some reason, custom ROM's that have this particular feature are the only one's I can use to get 3g data connectivity. Otherwise, I always get this irritating "Refreshing SIM data" pop up, which eats up battery, and heats up the back of the phone.
I'm still not a 100% on whether this would be the actual reason, or whether its a an issue with my carrier, but i want to give it a try so i can know for certain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Arjun.
Im on Revolution ROM, and it has this feature. Try it c:

Thanks. But I'd like to find out how to do it myself; to test and see if this is whats causing issues with 3g data connectivity for me. I think even Simple & Clean v2.x has this, and so do a few others.
But I don't think MIUI ROM's have this (not sure about this again - from the MIUI's I've tried, doesn't seem like they do).
My main concern has to do with 3g.
Thanks again.
Sorry to bump this. I didn't want to create another thread with the same question.
Hopefully someone from Hyperdroid would see this.
It's as simple as changing some png's... Download my surgeon, navigate to /vrtheme/SystemUI.apk and see which ones are blue and which ones are grey.
Thanks petsasj.
Will try it once I'm back from work.

Ok. I was just having a look at the pngs in the Androidmeda 5.2.xx and the pngs in /vrtheme/SystemUI.apk (of your surgeon). Only difference I see is the colours are green in the base while they blue in the surgeon.
I dont think this could be the coz of my 3g issues.
Petsasj: any idea why I am able to use 3g only after flashing your surgeon? Like i said before, if i flash the base ROM (or any ROM for that matter), either of two things will happen:
1. In GSM/WCDMA mode, it'll search for my 3G network -> the 3G icon shows up, and instantly disappears. I am still connected to my 3G network, but there is no data connection. On checking the "Status" in Settings it shows up as Mobile Network->Connecting.
2. In GSM/WCDMA mode, it'll search and connect to my 3G network -> there wont be a 3G data connection. "Status" in Settings says Disconnected.
For both the above instances, this "Refreshing SIM data" pop-up keeps on coming. The phone heats up at the back - battery goes down the drain! Very annoying. 2g works though (with data connectivity).
But if I flash your surgeon (and only your surgeon btw, the other surgeons dont help me with this issue ), everything works! 3G, 2G, switching between the two... !
Would u have any idea as to whats causing this??
Arjun.

phone automatically disabling network

hey guys,
having an issue with me phone!
it randomly turns off network connectivity.
eg, disables reception so i can't make calls, sms or use data.
i have tried rebooting phone
i have tried doing factory reset
but it still randomly does this at times.
also when i go into my network settings i get PROCESS.COM.ANDROID.PHONE IS NOT RESPONDING!
so i can't even turn on/fix/choose network!
*edit*
i can sometimes access my network settings without the error but i have now found out that EVERYTIME i reboot the phone my network is disabled on startup and i have to go to network settings, then get the error and force exit then reopen it again and it enables the network!
could anyone share some light?
thanks.
Ahh , old error..
which version are you running on currently...?
Join the Club.
I had 2 Razrs both had the dreaded self power down issue so a manual power on was the only way to turn it back on. One of the phones the 3rd actually just died on its own no batter power nothing. On all the phones I had this network issue, it would be at 4G then when it switches to 2G it actually turns the network off completely and then goes to 2G. It does this on many occasions and sometimes I'm wondering if I'm on a call and signal strength goes down I wonder if I will be cut off. Had all the phones have issues weeks apart and awaiting the return of the 3rd phone from the service center I can't offer much more than what I have experienced so far. What I have found on this phone is that the signal quality isn't great in fact the SG2 I"m using right now on average has a better signal than the Razr. I'm also wondering if the self power down is attributed to the loss of signal, where the phone continues to look for a signal and don't find one and then powers down?
Try to check your smart setting.

XT 310???????????????????
I think its a typo
anyways, I had the problem.. but then I upgraded the baseband to 85P and it is okay now..
If the baseband is correct then, install the application CATLOG and start logging... in case the phone throws the error, catch the data and post it here..

Issue with 3G

I was prompted to update my S2 to 4.1.2 yesterday, and I did.
All seemed to be working fine until today, out an about, when there was no 3G connection at all. My limit is well below my cap etc... I just cannot get a 3G connection at all. I checked that data is on, all the menu's seem correct (i.e. Mobile Data on, Network mode auto).
I have gone in to the Network operators menu and tried both Auto and EE, but neither give me a 3G connection.
My contract is with Orange, but have had the EE network on my phone for a while now (changed automatically a while back). I'm not sure if that could be an issue.
Also, shortly after the update, a menu popped up just as I was touching something else. I accidentally just clicked an option and it went away. I can't be sure, but I believe that I selected the other option from "Orange", it might have just been some combination of letters which I didn't recognise, but I think the option that I didn't click was "Orange". Is this the mistake? How do I get to that menu?
Thanks.

Maybe the update changed the modem.Try going back to ICS (not 4.0.4!) 4.0.3.If this works, then I recommend to go with ICS.If it still does't work, then try flashing different modems.

I haven't rooted my phone. It just updated normally via a prompt.
Problem Solved
I rang Orange customer support, and my issue was quickly solved. I'll share the solution, incase anybody else has the issue.
Basically, the issue was that menu which I accidentally clicked after the update. I clicked "LIFE" rather than "Orange UK". So, you just need to go to your mobile network menu, find "Access Point Names" and then hit the menu button and reset them, and choose Orange.

LTE/Mobile Data problems

I've been having some issues that i wasn't having before. I've got the OPX for about a month now and it is connected through LTE but i can't access internet.
If i turn airplane mode on and then off, it works for about a minute or so, then stops to work.
Anyone experiencing this?
Everything is ok here no problem yet

check apn's
APNs are there and they are well defined, I have manually redefined them now -> Airplane Mode on -> wait a few seconds -> Airplane mode Off -> surfed reddit for a minute or two, all of a sudden "This page cannot be displayed: 'ERR_TIMED_OUT' "
I would think this is a network problem, but there is a forum thread in oneplus forums where people are complaining about the same as me, although they associate the problem to Wifi and i don't
Also, i don't know if it's related, but I've flashed the latest version from MasterAwesome, the problems started there, i thought it was from the ROM, so i then flashed OOS2.1.3-x, where i had the same problem, then 2.1.2 and still the same issue...
I'm getting something like that issue but very rarely and mostly on WiFi. It comes between sleep and awake states so maybe check out greenify and see if that is the culprit. Or any other app that's restricting any function through the waking of the phone.
My oneplus x detects wifi very well, but does not connect to mobile data. What could be the problem?
Uh I have a similar issue but usually when I'm in motion. (in guessing switching between cell towers) what's your network. I'm using Tmobile US

Same problem I had yesterday. Must have tried 10 ROM's all of them flashed fine and everything worked except cellular data. I had no data what so ever. As soon as I flashed back to stock ROM data worked fine. So there must be a step or something we've missed in flashing custom ROM's spent all day yesterday trying to figure it out with no luck. Finally gave up and went back to stock. I'll wait for the official OTA marshmallow update from Oneplus
I'm having this issue right now with full 100% stock. Does any of you have the problem solved?
Just wiped data + cache + factory reset, but still no luck. I've also created a ticket on OnePlus support.

Are you using 2 SIMs? Data does not work for me on SIM 2 Slot but works fine on SIM 1.
I also can't connect to mobile data. There is no LATE/4G icon in the status bar but if I pull down the notification panel, LTE appears above the network icon. I've tried in both SIM slots. None of them work. The SIM card works fine on other phones.

Yeah, I've tried 2 other working SIMs and I've deleted/resetted APNs, even manually configured them (copied from my other phone).
Maybe you lost the IMEI. Try to find it with *#*#4636*#*#

I flashed the stock rom and it's working! I will try it for a few days to see if it's a permanent fix.
Android N, same issue with all ROMs.. tried everything, no luck lte doesn't work at all.
Hi!
I did rooted my phone and unfortunatelly there is one problem...I lost my data connection. I have wifi and I can make calls but mobile data is just not working at all.
I have tried some methods...restart, sim out and back and restart, manually pick the provider and restart etc... nothing works.
I did not flashed any ROM but using stock so its wierd.
Any suggestion for a solution how to get back my mobile internet connection?
Thank you in advance,
Tom
