If i unroot and factory reset my phone still got the warranty?

anyone can tell me about this?
Also use TriangleAway to reset the flash counter and your phone might pass the warranty check. If it's directly from Samsung, I've heard there's a hidden counter you can't change but I'm really not sure of that

Yes use triangle away before flashing stock and do a factory reset.

The idea is, if they cannot tell you've rooted the phone then they have no reason not to give you warranty.
So remember to use TriangleAway then flash the correct stock ROM through Odin, that should restore everything to a stock state. Don't worry about SIM-Unlock

unrooting how?

Hi xda goers .
I'm trying to unroot my s3 ready for jb?
I've flashed back stock kernel via odin .
Flashed recovery through s.gs3 toolkit 1.0 which got rid of cwm etc.
But I'm still rooted?
It's still says custom binary in recovery mode & ota update fails @ 30%.
Do I flash full pda csc etc again?
Will it wipe my phone clean?
Don't wanna wipe my phone clean.
Help pls pls pls
You need triangle away to reset the counter. Then find your original firmware and flash with odin.
Edit: Backup your data.

Check out faryab's stock firmware sticky in the general section.
In the op, there is a link to a YouTube video by totally dubbed. It shows you exactly what you need to do to return to stock.

Is better to reset the counter with triangle away. No harm right
Flash with PDA only.
Flashing original firmware shouldn't wipe your data. But backup your data for safety.

Restore S3 for replacement

Hey guys!
Is there a proper way of restoring the s3 so that I can send it back for a replacement?
I know I can flash the stock rom, but what about the flash counter? Or anything else?
Thank you!

EDIT: ok, i;ve tried triangle away app, and it works, I now have 0 counter and official status. But is this and flashing the stock rom enough?

As far as I remember from other threats you have to have "original status" and the flash counter "0". In addition double check if you got any "root" apps on your S3 or sdcard just in case.

Well yeah. I am going to flash the stock rom, reset the counter and reset to factory settings and format everything before sending it back.
But besides that, do I need to do anything else? Is there a chance that the replacement might get refused?
Thanks!
Yes. These are enough.

You have to factory reset the phone, guess that's the only way. But maybe I am wrong and there is another way.

Re: [Q] Is there any way to change the system status from "Modified" to "Normal"?
yeah a full wipe is the only way. as u already unrooted its fine. if you still was rooted and wanted to clear it after triangle away is re flash rom with mobile odin and chose full wipe and inject su. modified status goes and keep root. but using some root using apps bring it back.
only way to get rid.

Copy Internal Memory Data To Pc

Go To Recovery Wipe Factory Reset
Don't Reboot
Pull The Battery And insert After Few Second
Go To Download Mode
Flash Rom Via Pc Odin not Mobile Odin
Check Your Status Is Normal
Copy Data To Internal Memory Then Install Watsapp or All Other Apps
I installed JKAY framework, and the Modified got back to Normal

Counter resets on every boot.
