I am currently using Mini Cm 7.2.1.9 version nAa kernel -11 i.e. 2.6.29.6 now the problem is that my phone is not charging since 2 days before that my phone is working but many times charging problem occured but solved naturally ( i did nothing ). When i plug the charger red light blinks for sometime after that no light and phone is not charging even it is not starting on many times i plug in charger and unplug it but no result .
When after keeping 5 hrs of non-stop charging phone booted but after 50% charged again same problem occurs i.e not charging. Many times when i plug in the charger and keep charging my phone starts dropping out the battery level means i was having 10% battery available(before charging) then when i put on charging after 1 hr it is showing 0% and phone switches off then phone doesn't charge for hrs but after 4-5 hrs again i put in charging then phone charged up. Today after 50% charged i want to reboot it to recovery but after that my phone doesn't rebooting nothing happens now what to do .......?
Now i want to solve this i read many posts on this forum regarding battery issues but no answer to my problem i want to roll back to S.E 2.1 version i.e Eclair which came with this phone or switch to Mini CM 9( 4.0.4 ICS version) my heart says don't roll back go ahead means install CM9 version but don't how to do this saw many videos on youtube but m not able to do so specially i dont want to brick my Mini .
Please friends and specially nAa i know this is your hard work which resulted in using ICS on this MIni guide me .....
Thanks.................
First, i think your post should be in "XPERIA X10 Mini Q&A".
Have you tried with annother usb cable? I had a similar problem, and i solved it buying another usb cable.
your phone probably have hardware problem and you can not do anything, take it to a service.
Battery charging stops when the phone overheats... when it cools phone charging starts again... problem in power ic or charging ic
I have the same issue. During is erratic at times. Chances are that it's your charger

Hi guys, Need help, My battery was charging properly all these days, suddenly from today evening it is not charging when connected to the power plug, although charges properly when connected via USB When i connect it to the power plug th light goes red but the battery is not charging (no lightning streak in the battery / settings>about phone>status says not connected). just updated to the new f/w a couple of days ago.
build no = 2.0.2.A.0.24
baseband = 2.0.49
was playing around with the 2.2 roms today but after a while restored it back to stock 2.1 (backed up via xrec), Noticed this issue when i put it up for charging, so i cleared the battery stats via xrec but nothing happened, so after a lot of searching found a solution, to reflash back to stock fw ( so used SEUS and updated to stock 2.1) but still the issue remains.
Any suggestions guys????
Is your battery charger working first of all? Borrow another charger from a friend of yours and then try charging it. If if gets charged then its your charger who is at fault.
If not then it might be a hardware problem.

Thank you for the suggestion <AdY>, but why would the light turn on whilst i connect it to the wall???? that's whats bothering me... if the charger wasn't working then the light also should'nt be working right???
Theres about 5-6 pins inside that connector. Maybe its damaged and the ones that say connected are connected, but the ones that put the power down are damaged?
posted direct from the legend that is the x10i... the fastest processor, the slowest response...
Check the usb in the phone aswell..

its connecting to the PC fine, and its charging as well so, am daily charging it that way... could messing up with batt stats in xrec be a reason???? cos the problem began after a wipe in xrec (factory reset, dalvik cache and batt stats) while installing froyo ( tried TripNRavers and then Free X10) right now am on AOSP 2.1 8b.
Tried everything but nothing worked, changed the charger now everything's fine. Thank you for the suggestions people...
I was thinking it was more of a software issue as it happened after i wiped the batt stats in xrec for the first time, maybe it happened co-incidentally, That's why i was trying out all the various softer ways to it ( flashing various roms, versions, downgrading and upgrading my baseband etc etc...) in the end, the base of my charger was at fault i guess... but still when i connect my phone to the old charger, the LED lights up and display switches on as if charging, that's what still baffles me... and my battery indicator pro status changes to fully charged
wishing that it is not a big problem
have bought x10 mini pro about one month ago and it was working perfectly
few hours ago, the battery level fall , so I connect it to the computer and it start charging
then noticed that it stop charging
and doesnt start up anymore !
there is a red light flashing 3 times in the top right corner every time i try to reboot it
any suggestions ?
have you tried to charge the phone using the wall charger?
try it first and see if it would hold charge. otherwise, try using a different charger/cables.
well i think your battery is fully drained..
i suggest you put the charger on phone into the socket..not the computer..maybe your usb-bus is broken or got broken?
Hi
I accidentally discharged my phone to zero percent.. usually i charge at 5%.
I'm using AOSP ICS Android 4.0.3 Alpha v2
Now when i connect phone to charger sony ericsson logo comes n goes and phone is not charging.. no LED is lit or blinking.
same happens if i connect to pc or just press power button when disconnected.
pc doesn't show any device connected
I think the rom doesn't support offline charging.
Problem is i don't have access to any other sony ericsson fone that uses same battery so that i can charge my battery
Can someone please suggest a solution?
I have no idea. Buy a new battery and keep in mind that alpha versions are not to be tested in unusual situations.
Did you give it a try to power on while on power line? If you can get into cwm you may change some scripts some dev could provide you for offline charging.
Does it charge in flashmode?

it was an accidental discharge.. i got a call just before i was going to charge and battery dropped to zero.
btw nothing happened when i tried to connect in flashmode.. no led lit.. n same logo loop happening.
and i did try to power on while on power line but no vibration and no effect

the only way is to charge the battery from any place or in service centre and go back original firmware
yes, maybe the rom used is not fully optimized for your phone.. try reflash back to the original FW.
thank all for replies..
the problem solved though i'm not sure how..
i left it on charge for 4-5 hrs but of no avail..
i also tried connecting it in flashmode several times but no use.
but this morning when i tried switching on the phone while disconnected it switched on and showed battery 3% , I quickly put in the charger lead and its working fine now..
don't know how.. does battery recover 1-2 % .. no idea.
anyways thanks..set the battery warning to 15% to avoid same problem again

hi everybody,
I need help...My xperia mini st15i has a big problem, that now I'm gonna explain you:
If i turn on phone normally (not charging) it starts normally, but if i enable 2G/3G network, and I try to surf the net, my xperia turns off and reboots continuosly...If i plug usb cable and charge battery i can use network for 15-20 minutes until phone turns off...to make it work, i need to remove battery and wait 5 minutes. Also battery charge is very very slow...to get a complete charge it takes 5-6 hours!
Note: USB cable does not get completely into the mini USB port of the phone, and cable moves.
What could that be? A battery problem? My mini is in stock rom, stock kernel and unlocked bootloader.
PS: sorry for my very bad english.
Thanks to who will answer and try to help me.
Well, This problem can be caused by many reasons.
- For reboot problem, Try to flash clean stock again and see if the problem is still there.
- About slow charging, maybe battery life is over. Buy a new battery.
- For the USB port problem send it to the repair center to change this hardware part.
Good-Luck fixing your problems
Hi. I have an Xperia Z3 that was running android L as software and everything was working fine. Then I update it to Android 6 and it was the start time of my issues. My phone has started taking a long time to charge and discharge quickly. Now after a week of use, It won't start again.
When I plug it to a wall charger, it just keeps showing Sony Logo and goes off again. But when it is connected to a USB cable, only the red led is permanently on.
I've tried various solutions found on the net but none seems to have worked. Now I've just opened the back of the phone and remove the connector of the battery and now it is showing the battery charging symbol for a time and it goes off again.
Please help me fix this issue. Thanks
Mm that might be the sign of battery degrading I would recommend u to give it to the service center.U
