Hi,
My phone just got bricked and i sent it for repair. When it came back it was with XXLPS. I tried upgrading it OTA but everything went fine until it starting installing it. Phone just restarted and said update cannot be installed. I tried upgrading it via KIES but it said "Your device does not support upgrading via kies"
"Current firmware version:I9100XXLPS/I9100XXLPS/I9100XXLPS (XXX)"
Sorry if this is a noob question but can anybody help me out. I tried flashing other firmwares but nothing worked.
You must wipe data factory reset to properly apply CSC region code. Than Kies should see updates.
After entering recovery you should see proper CSC.

Hello,
I installed the CF-Kernel to my S2. After that, I installed the resurrection remix rom.
Now I wanted to install the stock firmware again, so I downloaded the stock rom, where I thought, that this is the one that my S2 had after starting it the first time.
I installed this official firmware: http://androidfirmwares.net/PhoneFirmware/Download/35
DBT seems to be the right for my german S2, and it had the number "XWLP7"
It's also a Galaxy S2 i9100. Not the G version.
Could someone please help me out? My S2 is just booting, it won't start. It's just showing the official boot screen for over 30 minutes now. Even a reinstall via odin didn't work.
Thanks a lot in advance!
when changing from a custom rom to a stock rom, it is essential to perform a wipe / factory reset. shut down the phone (if you are still booting ) and boot into recovery and do the wipes from there, format data, cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions.

once u go back to ur stock rom
go to recovery mode using vol up+home button+power button

do a factory reset and clear cache
it will fix ur issue
did it work?
I was on the Resurrection Remix Rom and I wanted to flash back to original rom because I needed the HDMI out . So I used Odin and this unbranded stock rom:
18/05/2012 4.0.3 Unbranded XWLPF XXLPX OXILP6 Intratech
All went well but now it just hangs at the Samsung Galaxy Logo?
What have I done wrong?.

After flashing a stock ROM with Odin, are you doing a factory reset from stock recovery before booting the phone after flashing?

Try again.
This is a common problem that's always fixed with a factory reset.
