I have experienced few bugs related to that ROM. First with the LauncherPro. I noticed than if you move phone to the landscape position, all icons in the app drawer get placed in one position. It looks like all of them move to position in row-1, first column. As I see dev behind the LauncherPro stopped updating it more than a year ago, but is there any other fix to this? That problem was in V2.8 of Neutrino as well.
Second bug is with OTA Updater. Whenever I run it detects V2.91 update correctly, and downloads it. The problem occurs after sudden shutdown (phone doesn't show that reboot screen, and works for a few seconds, just suddenly restarts). When booting again I get a little Android picture with yellow exclamation mark inside a triangle. After that I have to take the battery out, and after successful reboot, there is no update installed.
For the record - In SuperSU I've made sure that OTA Updater has its permissions.

I've had Cyanogenmod 9 nightlies on my SGS2 since April. I didn't install every single one, but pretty much only those with good ratings, specifically those that had no complains about battery drain and heating...
Currently on the 06-28-2012 nightly. This ran fine at first, but over time, it started to occasionally crash into Kernel Panic. I figured I'd just pick a new nightly, but then I ended up having to travel and installation of a new nightly got delayed.
Now I'm home, and I can't use the phone at all, cause it crashes into Kernel Panic almost as soon as I unlock the screen after Android finishes booting. The last thing I see up in the message bar is "WhatsApp error" and the screen goes dark. It won't stay on long enough for me to uninstall WhatsApp or select factory reset from the system menu.
I don't think its a problem with WhatsApp, cause WhatsApp used to run fine, while Kernel Panics originally mainly seemed to happen after I got a "storage full" message. In response, I deleted a load of pictures after rebooting, to make sure there's free space, but it kept crashing occasionally, till now, its just unusable.
I've tried to flash a stock Samsung ROM (I9100XWLPG_I9100XXLPX_I9100NEELP4_HOME.tar.md5) but that hasn't been working either.
Kies drivers are installed on my Laptop. Odin sees the phone too.
I followed the instructions from the rom page, changed no settings in Odin, just picked PDA and selected the ROM.
Odin goes "Added" when I plug in the phone, verifies the ROM, then the whole thing hangs on "setting up connection"
So I unplug, pull the battery and then reboot, which works fine, but once booted, it won't stay on longer than a few seconds.
Anyway, does anyone have any clever ideas how I can get out of this Kernel Panic loop?

What's preventing you from factory resetting from recovery?
Lack of knowledge is preventing me!
How do you factory reset from the "Kernel Panic Download Mode"...?
Download Android Commander from here:
http://androidcommander.com/
Boot your phone, don't unlock.
Start Android Commander, navigate to /data/apps and delete WhatsApp's apk (com.whatsapp1.apk or something like that) or rename it to .apk.bak
Restart your phone without unlocking.
Hope the errors gone.
Hi everybody thanks for your help in advance,
My SGs2 is currently running siyah kernel v6.0.0.12 (the fancy one with touch recovery and dual boot).
The problems started when i recently switched from SuperSu to the open-source alternative Superuser. I'm using an app called live logcat (by Chainfire). It shows the logcat entries live as a boot animation. It was all hassle free when I used SuperSu with it. After switching to Superuser it kept getting root permission over and over for at least a minute (a previously common problem). So I was looking forward to getting it fixed since other users reported the same problem. So whenever a new version came out, I tried if it was finally fixed.
After updating to the latest version yesterday and starting the app once again, the phone crashed with the screen turning black (status bar still visible). It then rebooted and a message stating
Android is upgrading..
Starting applications

appeared. Whenever I reboot my phone this message appears and won't go away. I can access recovery but clearing cache and/or dalvik cache makes the window say: Optimizing application <x> out of <y>. When it is through with optimizing, 'starting applications' reappears.
I honestly have no idea what else to do.
So my question is how can I get that darn thing to boot correctly?
I'm looking for a solution which doesn't involve factory reset.
If anybody can help he/she is much appreciated.
I got problem with updating my phone to newest android version (JB)
I download update pack properly, press install now, after that my phone restarts and on screen appears 2 green arrows, picture of some mobile and loading bar.. this is still normal, but after that, aprox. 30s.. instead of green arrows there appear question mark, my phone restarts and update is not going to happen.
Hard resets of phone dont help, any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks
I have the same problem. Can you advise me how to fix it
OK. I found the solution for red question mark. Remove the SD card and download the update to your phone storage. Finally, let the install.
So I'm basically making this a "fix my problems" thread, because I've got a lot of problems, and no solutions.
My phone is rooted running Sense 6 on Android 4.4.2, and ever since I rooted it about a month ago it's been a little... quirky.
For one thing, the stock weather app is no longer animated for me. The scene changes accordingly, but is completely static and doesn't play any sound effects even when the option is checked on. I texted a friend who has the same phone and also has it rooted, and he said his is animated and works just fine. It's more of a minor inconvenience than anything and doesn't bug me too much, but it'd be nice to have it function properly.
A more problematic... problem is that I'm no longer receiving push notifications for Twitter, Snapchat or Instagram in the notification bar. I looked it up and tried revoking access to the Android Twitter app from the web and logging in again, and nothing happened. I'd like to think it's a bug in the newest versions of the apps, but I didn't see any mention of notification issues in the Play Store reviews and the fact that all three stopped working simultaneously seems abnormal to me.
My phone also seems to have picked up an annoying habit of getting itself stuck in a bootloop whenever I reboot the phone. Once it powers on, it will then proceed to reboot itself about four to five times and then continue to function like normal afterwards. The other night it did the same thing, except it rebooted about seven or eight times and THEN stopped.
I have a sneaking suspicion that all of this has something to do with SuperSU. Shortly after I rooted the phone, the app prompted me to update the binary, which I attempted to do using the "update with TWRP/SCM" option that, according to the app, is recommended for HTC devices. My phone then had one of its bootloop episodes, lost root access, and has been doing it ever since. A few days ago I downloaded the latest SuperSU update from the web, transferred it to my phone via USB and flashed it with TWRP. When I booted it back up, SuperSU had vanished from the phone entirely. I reinstalled it from the Play Store and that seemed to do the trick at the time, but now I've suddenly lost root access after not even having touched SuperSU at all. I'm wondering if this affects apps that previously had superuser permissions, such as Battery Doctor. It had been stable until shortly after the root, after which it started behaving erractically - sometimes it works, sometimes opening it from the app drawer will pull up a black screen, and in most cases the widget either doesn't work at all, is extremely delayed, or will simply give the "Battery Doctor has been given superuser permissions for an interactive shell" message and then do nothing. So my question is, are all these problems being caused by a conflicting Play Store and binary version? And if so, how do I update it without screwing my phone up even further?

You need to start over from scratch
post your fastboot getvar all (minus you serial.no and IMEI)
Most likely your using AT&T so if you have s-off you can flash these two and get back two stock. take the OTA Update then re flash recovery and root.
flash this first
http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00101/a1w/4.18.502.7 Custom Firmware.zip
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 4.18.502.7 Custom Firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip 4.18.502.7 Custom Firmware.zip
fastboot reboot bootloader
now stay on the bootloader
and run this RUU from your PC > http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...09_10.26.1718.01L_release_356565_signed_2.exe
Take the Over the air update and your all set to start rooting again.

go to the folder where fastboot and adb are
open a command window (right click / command prompt here)
with the phone plugged into the PC
Type fastboot getvar all
it will output all the specs for your phone
remove the serial no and IMEI when posting it
what if your s-on
I'm having all the exact same problems except I'm 4.3 and s-on. Help please!
Gonna kinda bump this thread a bit because I've got another question - what about the "full unroot" option within SuperSU? Will this help the situation at all, or make it worse?
Hello,
I just got a new Z2 and I have a problem that causing the display not to go to sleep . I can see an icon in the notification and by clicking on the icon ((see attachment ) )and getting the app info I see the process name ( com.sonyericsson.startupflagservice ) by forcing shutdown to that process the screen acts normally and goes to sleep
I tried PC companion but is till get the same icon... I even tired to flash a new firmware but still!! the only thing to make the screen acts normally is terminating that process.
I am not sure if I should return that phone back or not.. Could it be some hardware issue?
any advise will be appreciated.

Hi it seams that an App is Running with Admi-Rights ON - Could you Please check if something is running with Admin-Rights and then check if something is running with SuperSU (only if your phone is rooted!)
If so disable Admin Rights for that App and uninstall it. Just in case make an AV scan for added measure.
Solution!!!!!
I had the same issue on a Z2 I bought off a guy. It was on 4.4.2 and it kept saying no update available. I downloaded and flashed the 5.0.2 update via Sony Flashtool. At first boot the issue appear again after a few seconds. It got very intense with the screen becoming unusable. The phone shut itself down and rebooted without the issue. Gone and nowhere to be found. I immediately got another prompt to update to a newer Android version - same 5.02 (17MB file).
So flash away, guys!!!
