Stop phone ringing through car bluetooth - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have my SGS2 with CM10 and a car bluetooth kit WITHOUT a2dp. So only phone calls.
It's a simple kit with only 3 buttons.
The problem is that the kit has an annoying beep when receiving a call. I would much rather hear only the phone itself ringing instead of both.
It doesn't obey silent mode either and still beeping on a received phone call.
Is there a tweak to make the phone not notify the kit about the call so it won't beep?

i don't know what brand/manufacturer your car bluetooth thing is,
I found some links that may help you out:

That's the userguide for my kit:
http://www.bury.hu/docs/user-manual/cc9040-bluetooth-kihangosito.pdf
The second link might have a solution for me, because it's talking about volumes.
Still, I need further help here:
- Where are these values they're talking about are set?
- Which one is for ringtone transmitted over bluetooth to the car kit?
Thank you for your help

Anyone else might have an idea?

Bleutooth carkit for the Qtek 9090 (T-mobile MDA3)

Can I use my Nokia CK-1W carkit with my MDA3. Does anyone have that info.
I use my 9090 with a sony ericsson HCH300 car kit,
Works great!
The ericsson car kits work better than the nokia with the pda's, they pair up ok but incomming caller complains or echo.
i use parrot ck3100, but don't I get that when I enter to the car, it is connected alone to the pda??

I can answer the calls where i want, either on the pda or on the car kit button, i can even redial without touching the pda.
No complaints on the other end, no echo, my friends complaint about echo sometimes but it's when i'm talking to the pda, without car kit.

Hugot, i currently have installed the Nokia CK-1W carkit. The other party is complaining about echo. With the SE HCB-300 this is not happening? Please be honest, cause i am about the remove my NOKIA and install the SE one.
I use my Qtek 9090 with a Nokia C7-7W carkit. I hear my callers and whom I call to very well, but they hear an echo. Can anyone tell me how to prevent?
I use a parrot ck3100, the only problem that I have is that I don't get that they are connected alone when I enter to the car and I light the contact.
regards
try upgrading the parrots firmware from driveblue.com and making sure bluetooth is switched on before the parrot
i have the last versión, the one problem is that the parrot don´t connect to pda only when i enter in the car ....
Sorry about my late answer if it stills help here it goes.
I can't use anything else then phone calls with my HCB-300. No Mp3, directions, etc, even the ring tone is from the car kiy and not the one on the phone.
No one has claim about echo or anything else, i think that the other callers can't even notice that i'm using a Car KIT.
It's GREAT!
I got a Parrot CK3100 yesterday and I don't get any echoes which is good, the Nokia ones seem to echo a hell of a lot.
Caller ID on the car kit works, and once the contacts have been sent via bluetooth (one by one unfortunately ) the name pops up on the LCD display, its really good, better than I thought it could be when I ordered it.
Haven't tried voice dialling yet, has anyone who has one set the option to use voice dialling from the car kit instead of the phone? does this work?

Voice Tags

I upgraded from the O2 XDA mini to the Orange M3100 and use the same Sony headset and can't get the voice tags to repeat in the headset after they have been recognised. It worked fine with the O2 phone, you pressed the headset power switch briefly, said the name and the phone played the match back to the headset. This new phone simply shows the name on the screen and repeats through the phone speaker. Tried to pair it again but still the same, anyone had this and found a fix?
As an update I was using the voice dial function the other day sat in the car and could hear the recorded name in the headset but it's reall quiet. The previous HTC phone was a lot louder so is there anyway to increase the volume of the spoken voice tag in the headset, I have the headset volume up full but still it's too low to hear properly.
I've seen some other posts on getting stereo headsets working with this Orange device. Can anyone help me find a way of getting the phone to increase the volume of the repeated voice tag in my bluetooth headset please?
Well there are only 263 posts re. Bluetooth and headset problems in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285419
If you can't find any answers there, there are about another 10 threads about headset and bluetooth problems, about 15 threads on Voice Command problems and you combine the two and you have a nightmare
... almost makes you want to use a wired headset and hand dial.
Trust me, I thought this would be easy.........
The previous HTC device I had (Wizard with O2) worked fine, press headset button, speak, phone confirms back and then dials. This one has such a low volume that you can't hear what it says. I read through a load of the posts but they all seem to be trying to solve problems I don't have, for me the headset and phone works, the TomTom GPS v6 also works, the TCP video software is almost there and all of this without having to hack any programes.
I tried it again today and before when I thought it was very quiet it was in fact the speaker on the phone I was hearing on the seat next to me, the headset does not reply the voice tag.
Surely others must be using BT headsets with this phone and use the voice dial tags when driving etc?

I don't have these issues so don't know the exact thread but I have read that many ppl are having the same problems as you. I think they have solved all but incomming notifications - so go looking and you should find.

[Q] Ringtone and Caller Name in Bluetooth Headset

Hi,
I recently started using A2DP compatible Bluetooth Headset(Nokia BH-103) with dell streak. It works perfectly for Music and Calls, but for incoming call alerts, it just plays beeps in BT headset.
Tried applications life "Talktome" and "Blue Control", but did not help.
Whats strange is that SMS ring tone is transferred to BT headset, but only for calls, there is just beeps.
Have been searching for solution since 5 days now, any help will be appreciated.
Also, if there is an app which can say caller name and works on Streak, please help me out with the name.
I am using 218 Stock ROM.
I read somewhere that caller name is not allowed through Bluetooth. Android restriction.
I have the same problem with my MW600.
I have the BlueAnt T1. It speaks caller name and then asks if you want totake the call or ignore. It is all done verbally. You just need to make sure your phonebook (contacts) are uploaded into ear piece.

Caller name definitely goes through BT. "Talktome" was doing this but only for 1 second of length. It was reading only beginning of the name. So, that restriction is definitely not there in android.

I am using A2DP compatible headset, but it does not have contact storage in the headset.
Thanks for the help anyways.
Anyone, please help me out, this problem is driving me crazy !!
I have the same issue with BH-103 and HTC Desire S. Notification sounds are come trough the headset but for calls I'm stuck with the default Nokia tone. So it's maybe a software issue...
Jawbone ERA does allow that, up to 20, if they are in the JB phonebook.
Otherwise, it just gives the number in the headset.

Solved : Bluetooth Volume in kit Kat?

EDIT : problem solved, the phone is not guilty. By the way, there is still a bug, the volume can't be adjusted during call. I use the "A2DP Volume" to manage the volume, as a workaround.
Hello,
I can't explain how such a good phone can fail at the bluetooth feature. The volume is incredibly low, I can't explain this as we talk about digital signal. Furthermore, during a bluetooth call I can't adjust the volume.
At least did somebody find a workaround? I tried AD2P volume, without success. Maybe I didn't find the right parameters. I saw some mods in the dev zone, all about incall volume, but I don't want to ruin things that currently work.

I dont have this problem. My bluetooth headphones are much louder than a cable ones.
Thanks for your answer. I saw other testimonies about this problem, it would be a good thing to identify the cause.
I don't nave this problem either. Quite the opposite, actually, sometimes the bluetooth headset is even too loud. Are you sure this is not headset-dependent?
Thank you for your advice. After some tests the phone is not guilty, the handsfree had set a low volume during the first connection. We can close this subject.

Not receiving sound from the phone when the headset is plugged in

I gave information about the subject by calling the customer service, but over a period of more than fifteen days, the return could not be provided. Topic; When a wired or wireless headset is connected, or when we are connected to the car kit via Bluetooth, the incoming notification sounds do not come from the device itself. It must be in music listening mode when connected to the headset or the vehicle. Otherwise, you do not notice the incoming notification. I'm a very busy phone user at my workplace, the headset at the end of the conversation with the headset at the end of my ear when I leave it on the table and the phone does not receive notification sounds, some mail, message or whatsapp alerts only when I look at the device. In this case, there is an application that manages where the ringing and notification sounds will come out when the headset is connected in the rival manufacturers. I would ask your software and application developers to conduct a study on the subject.
Please help him with this.
Hola
The issue you are describing happens to me as well. Not sure if this issue is recent with newer firmware updates. There is no resolution that I know of.
Sent from my LYA-L0C using Tapatalk
it's not an issue, it's just the way Huawei chose to implement it. I'm also used to get notification sounds on the phone while driving and having it connected via Bluetooth but since i got my mate 20 pro i'm always checking my idrive screen to see if i received a message ....
