I have found many people eagerly looking for ways to install default music player just for two reasons
1. that small button top left saying 5.1ch
2. we can easily change music from notification bar
So friends is there any way we could use default music player on Creeds ROM or is there any other player that supports these features ?
PS: I use Player Pro which is beautiful but lacks only these 2 features.
i'm using default music player in creeds rom

download rare's file and place it on your sd card
using root explorer, go to sdcard folder then copy the file after that set the permission from r/o to r/w so that you will be able to bi-pass normal permissions,
paste it in system/apps and press down the file that you have pasted and scroll down and go to permissions then set it to
r(check) w(check)
r(check)
r(check)
then restart the phone

Tried the second link method but it didn't work
If u just wanna change the icon of the apl, then open ur apk in 7zip or winzip. And find the png file which contains the icon. It is either present in res/drawable-mdpi/
Or in res/midmap-mdpi/

Does the icon has to be the same resolution? Do I not need to sign it?
P.S - Is it possible to change the APK name to show a different name in App Drawer?

3) yes, u can edit name in the Android_manifest.xml. But for that u wud hav to decompile the apk.

I can . But i am out of town at present.
Only do it if its ur own apk. Otherwise its illegal....I think
And even if its not, I, as a developer strongly discourage it. I would certainly not like my app being decompiled

My PC has been locked-down by my dad. If you dont trust me, check my stocklite rom's thread. I've clearly mentioned that I can't update the rom before my exams. Dad will open up the pc only in July. So, I cant do any development related work till that time. Sorry.
You can try apkrenamer to rename apps. Search on google.

Use X-Plore file manager
(Root access is required)
First backup your original apk file.
Work:
1- Open an app as zip file
2- go to res\drawable-hdpi\ folder
3- find icon.png in this folder
4- then Go to the second section in the browser (on the screenshot)
5- find the png file which is your new icon.
6- Rename it "icon.png" and mark.
7- Then copy it and write over old one.
8- End
Note:The new apk file is not signed so you can't install it like a normal installation.
So you can push it to the system\app folder (Root access is required)

I think it is possible!
It should be added to the archive - a music file "bootanim.mp3"
Here's an example boot animation of theme:
"GOLD - revolution color" -it is a musical!
Ahm.. Where will i put this? And how can i play it with the boot animation while my phone starts?

You can use ES File Explorer for that actually.
If you know what to edit and you know where your desired files are located than you should just use ES File Explorer.
Of course there might be more apps that do this but this works for me from personal experience.
And if you want your answer faster the next time than you should consider posting in the Q&A section instead.
