Help required ! motorola droid razr xt912 does,nt turn on - Motorola Droid RAZR

I bought this phone when i was in usa about 2 months ago,i lost the charger that came with this phone , phone was running just fine till yesterday , till it ran out of battery and switched off by itself , now when i connect the wall charger (the samsung one) it does,nt switches on or take charge , i tried to hard reset but no go, it ,does,nt responses on any button combo i found on this forum , only when i connect it with the usb data cable (the samsung one) it flashes white led light .... car charger did,nt work either ( its the chinese one )...

I have seen some people have this problem before when they let it completely discharge. Just plug it into whichever charger showed the white led and let it set for a little while (not really sure how long) and it will get a good enough charge to turn back on.

it is not possible for now as i lost the verizon slip , btw will buying this cable can help ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330778351680 ....

That cable would allow you to turn it on a long as it is plugged in. It actually bypasses thebattery with that cable. Butit will not charge it.
Try asking around at droidrzr.com
You may need to get an OEM charger.

my xt910 died
When my razr died. Nothing could turn it back on once. I had to call warranty. They said a eletronic component was replaced. But never informed which one. I suggest you to try any other moto charger, not the vehicle model, to see if there's a chance it work. And at last, try all the combination with the power and volumes buttons.
Best Regards,
Mauro.

Razr won't turn on

My friend got the razr 2 days ago ans this morning it didn't want to turn on. I did the power and volume up and got it to start to boot but then it just shut down. Any ideas what could be wrong

Is this a failed attempt at a troll, or are you being serious?
Yeah battery died. Ask for a razr replacement.
He took it back to verizon and they replaced the phone. Kinda weird that it just would not respond. I got it to start to boot but then it just turned off. After that nothing even after letting it charge for a couple hours it was just dead.

had that issue myself, battery dead after a week... another razr died after 2 weeks..
I know this is gonna seem lame, but I thought all micro USB cables are created equal, but they aren't. I was using my Skyrocket micro USB charger to charge the RAZR, and it wouldn't charge. When I plugged in the one that came with the RAZR, it charged right up. Not sure if you're using a different cable, but its worth a shot...

White light on
hi all.
I have a razr xt910 as well that wont turn on either. When I plug it in i get a white light at the top left of the screen.
did anyone else experience this?
The white light meens that it's pluged in via USB, but the battery is too low to boot. fix by pluging it in to the wall.
If you have droped data go here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520970
My wifes dis the same thing with the white light. Used the wallcharger and it booted up in 15

Anybody brick their Razr yet?

Curious, I don't have a razr myself, but looks like a nice phone.
Anyway, my huge concern with this phone is when it comes to the flashing game. Since you can't remove your battery, does that mean bricking your Razr is game over? Is there a way to cut power to this phone at all short of leaving it on until the battery dies?
Wow, that's something that hasn't crossed my mind yet, lol

UnBricking RAZR
Hooray! I've bricked my RAZR yesterday! Because of low battery - dumb mistake I've made. ALWAYS check your battery is charged 75%+
So I was in a situation, where I can't load OS, and stuck at fastboot mode with failed flash error. The most ugly here is I can't charge my phone, I can't pull out the battery so I could charge it somewhere else...
Thanks to [TSON] at xda to suggest try motorola factory cable that is used to program motorola phones without battery installed. Buying factory cable is not a good option since I would like to have a phone now! (you can buy it here: http://shop.teamblackhat.info/Factory-style-programming-cable-for-Motorola-FactCable.htm)
But there is an option to create one at home:
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077414
2) http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-labs/146492-how-why-make-your-own-motorola-factory-cable.html
1) I've bought Motorola MiniUSB <-> MicroUSB adapter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=090HEB54X9MZWHDS3PF4)
2) Cutted this adapter and found that there is no 5 cables here - dissapointed
3) cutted adapter's microUSB connector and found there is 5pin available to solding.
4) lame ugly soldering using schemas provided on forums
5) fingers crossed - connecting: great, phone is in a fastboot mode and it says that the Battery is OK!
6) Flashing fastboot leaked image using RSDLite - done
7) Happy dancing!
Mine appears bricked as its stuck in a boot loop when powered on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367040
Please help if you can. Thanks.

Holding down the volume buttons and the power key at the same time for like 6 seconds resets the phone. On my EVO 3D this method worked in the place of a battery pull most of the time but not always...I'm a little nervous this might happen at some point with my razr and I'm not looking forward to it...
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
Holding vol DOWN and power for 10 seconds ALWAYS powers down your device, no matter what. RAZRs don't have zombie motherboards, they can't operate without power
Not sure if this will help but there's a method for restarting in safe mode.

[HELP] New issue I haven't found from searching forum

Background: bought a Razr for cheap off Fleebay knowing it was soft bricked and the battery was dead. I also bought a factory cable so I could get into fastboot and flash the files. Everything worked great with the RSD lite method, except that my batter is so completely dead the phone turns off as soon as I unplug the factory cable (YES I KNOW I CAN'T CHARGE WITH IT) But, when I plug in a regular cable to the computer all I get is the white light, and when I plug in a wall charger I get the battery but the charge meter goes from 0% to 100% in a few seconds. After leaving it to charge while I went to work I came home to find it still dead.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I've read about that problem somewhere on here. I want to say the guy used a car charger??? Wouldn't hurt to try. Good luck.

Note won't charge...

I have a white galaxy note on AT&T rooted with saurom 7.1 and for some reason when I use my USB extension with the original or after market charging wire the phone will not charge, in fact it still uncharges while I'm using it but it shows it plugged in.
It's not the rom because it did it before I flashed it from stock and also on the ICS leak and now again on saurom 7.1. Without the extension though it charges perfectly normal and quickly. One day it took 6 hours to go from 2% to 13% while it wasn't in use. I've also tried using other extensions I have and the one identical one did the same thing and another shorter one actually didn't allow the phone to charge at all or show it was plugged in... What gives?

I read that it wasn't a great idea to mess with the battery like that so I haven't tried. Plus like I said without the extension it works fine

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to "bump" threads but I'm still having this problem and was wondering if anyone had any help or suggestions for me?
I would recalibrated the battery using a app that requires root in market.....wait till it hits 100 then recalibrate it....then let it drain all the way down....charge to 100 then do it again....this way the battery and system knows the true values...just my opinion I would try

Are you plugging into a wall outlet or a USB port on computer. There are a number of battery threads on here, but the quick recap is that the USB port on your computer isn't going to charge your Note very quickly or at all when you use it because the USB port doesn't provide enough power.
It'll charge much faster from the wall.
And even faster if you're not using it.

From the wall with a USB extension it took 5-6 hours to go up 12% without it, it goes to 12% in 5-7 minutes. This is without using it.

I had the same problem with my note, it wouldn't charge via data cable or factory charging cable or 3rd party cable. After speaking with Samsung they said that this is a known issue, but did not tell me what the issue was except that it did not affect the battery. They sent me a new device, and was instructed to use my original back cover, battery, and they sent me a replacement factory charging cable and was instructed to use it exclusively. I got the feeling it was a port/cable issue and that they were well aware of it with an efficient return policy set up. Maybe you won't have to go this route, but a free (new, not reman) phone is a free phone.

Charging issues

I've never had any problems charging my Razr. Last night I plugged it in my charger and nothing happened. I turned the phone off, turned it back on, plugged in charger and still nothing. I then turned off the phone and plugged in the charger. The phone turned on but didn't charge. It seems the phone recognizes the charger, but won't charge. Maybe defective phone or battery? I would assume Verizon would replace the phone. Don't ya think?

Okay
1. Power off ur phone
2. Power and vol +/- (~10 secs)
3. Navigate to BP Tools (vol down), enter on it (vol up)
This will enable charge module (battery icon with an ?)
4. Plug wall charger and tell me what happens.
Cheers

By hitting vol up will select BP Tools? If so when I do that the phone starts up and I plugged in wall charger. Still nothing. Thanks for the suggestion though. Hope Verizon will do something to fix it.

Could be a problem with the USB connection, obviously, but try putting a kettle pressure on the connection, i used to have issues like that with my blackberry back in the day. Maybe you could get it charged enough to Dartmoor back to stock.

So I received my first warranty phone Friday. It worked for two hours then wouldn't send/receive text or calls. I guess the radio in it wasn't any good. I went into the store again and they waived the overnight fee and I got other warranty phone yesterday. It worked fine and I was glad. I went to charge it last night and it wouldn't charge. My car charger worked fine. It seems to be a USB issue since no USB chargers will make the phone charge. How many times do they have to send me a phone before I can complain that I want a brand new phone?

Typically, Verizon has had a 3 strike rule. You'll have to go through phone support, since this almost never occurs at the store level. When there's been 3 complaints over the same problem, and you're vocal...insistent but not rude... you can get a new phone. If you're not getting results, ask to speak to the customer retention department.
