You should be able to, as long as it is HID compliant.

Gamepads, mouses and keyboards are hid devices Click.
So you must try if your gamepad is compatible with phone -> connect it to phone via usb-otg cable.

How to use sixaxis?

I'm having a problem pairing my dualshock 3 controller with my touchpad.. do I need to use a micro USB to USB Female Cable USB-OTG for the initial syncing? Or can it be done over blue tooth?
Try "sixaxis controller" app
You are talking about the sixaxis app I am assuming. They have a pc program you download that allows you to change your controller's BT address to match your Touchpad's. You use the controller's regular USB cable.

Yes I have the app installed but I couldn't figure out how to use the sixaxis pairing tool, so I need to run that first via computer and enter the Bluetooth connection address? I tried doing it all from my touchpad lol, no wonder..
thank you

[Q]Support for BT mouse

When I try to connect my bluetooth mouse to the Xperia S it says "Paired but not connected".
Is there another way to do this or I am doing anything wrong?
I am using stock XX.73 Firmware.

Tried.. the same ... I could use same mouse with Galaxy Nexus so maybe ICS only support this
Hi calibx
I had the same with connecting bluetooth keyboard saying pair but not connected. However, i can pair and used the keyboard with my Mac Pro bluetooth. Seems like something wrong with the xperia s bluetooth software. Hope Sony can get it fix with a cumulative update.
Same .73 Firmware.
Just bought an OTG USB cable. My Logitech USB Receiver (unity) works without any problem !
It seems Sony include usb mouse support in the Xperia S but not BT mouse.
RF keyboard mouse had no issue as the Sony boutique did just that. The only problem is BT which cannot seems to work. Even there is a youtube showing problem with BT headset. Otherwise, i will connect a wired keyboard instead.
Do you know wich rom support bluetooth mouse for the htc amaze ?

Sony don't developed a driver to make easily the use of BT HID devices, so many users give up and uses OTG, so then buy a pricey dock for Sony victory... but here you find a nice alternative.

I wanna play games with Ps3 controller

Can someone tell me how can I do that ? Should I apply some settings in Sixaxis or Joystick Center ?
You just have to plug it in through USB OTG and you're good to go.
Afaik you'll need an app for the Bluetooth connection tough.

Search amazon. Found one for a few bucks. Waiting to get it and see how it works

In Sixaxis App just plug in through USB and hit Pair, and USB/BT App plug a BT dongle into OTG and hit search to get dongle's address then plug controller in through USB to pair then unplug and hit search and should find controller over BT.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but do you still need to be rooted to use sixaxis app on the GS3?
I only ask as my stock TF101 works flawlessly with a PS3 controller over BT after pairing via a USB cable - no root required! Is that a general ICS thing or just a TF101 thing?

No, I don't want wireless. I can play with cable. So, don't need right ?
Hey guys. Today I bought OTG cable. I tried play Nova 3 with Ps3 controller. ( I didn't do anything. I just used cable. I can control homescreen, apps. But I can't play Nova 3.
help guys Now I have cable but still I can't play some games.
Only some games have built in support for controllers. NOVA doesn't, but if you get Sixaxis Controller you set-up touch profiles so different keys will emulate motions on the screen, that's how you can do it.
Also, only certain devices support PS3 syncing via BT without an app, my Sony Tablet S has built in support, you plug it in, turn bluetooth on and it's synced via BT, but the GS3 doesn't, so if you want to play without the OTG cable, get Sixaxis controller.
Nooo, I want play with OTG cable. How can I use Sixaxis Controller with OTG cable ? Or, Should I try Joystick Center app ?
By using sixaxis controller you'll be able to create profiles for all games , even nova 3 k:

Umm, well I'm pretty sure you can keep it connected if you want? Not sure why you would since if you have OTG cable you can use it wirelessly?

USB/BT controller (I think the app you're referring to) also has Touch Emulation via a plugin (it requires Root just like Sixaxis Controller does though for touch emulation), but as others are saying, why would you want to do that when you can do it wirelessly? Wireless connection affords you the advantage of being able to also connect to MHL and your HDTV...
Anyways, more information here:
I can't do Sixaxis. I think USB/BT Joystick Center is easier than Sixaxis. But I can't find Ps3 controller buttons in Button mapping.

Why can't you do Sixaxis? It is definitely easier than USB/BT - the video above has a guide for a Nova 3 touch emulation and Sixaxis pairing and the blog has a touch emulation profile you can just download and start using!

headphones

I broke my stock headphones that came with the V30 plus but I have the stock ones that came with my U11...but the problem is that those are Type-C...is there a way to make them work other then a adapter?

Shouldn't those (from the U11) work on all Android phones which have an Type-C port ?
You connected and tried if they work ?
They are active headphones after all, from what I read

Did you connect and toggle "Disable USB audio routing" then disable it (thus enabling audio routing again) ?
Is there anything you get in messages when connecting them ?

So nothing appears when plugging them in...And and I tried the disable to enable thing and nothing...But it could be because I'm trying in Resurrection Remix, I will try on stock and see what happens
Really? I had some Leeco USB C that worked on my Nexus 6p and Huawei Mate 9. If those phones worked with USB C headphones I'm sure the V30 should also.

means there's no support for usb-c audio in V30, I assume
when taking a look at Xperia XZ2 family (tama) - there's the following:
https://github.com/AndroPlus-org/an...64/boot/dts/somc/sdm845-tama-common.dtsi#L354
we got none of that stuff in dts/dtsi
