Hey guys, I've had some really big problems with my phone on the later time.
When i charge my phone to 100% (turned on or not doesnt matter) then i remove the battery and put it in again after, now i only have 97% and i can continue doing this atleast 10times+ (never tested more).
Also lately my phone has been fcking up for real, my phones screen can random go bananas and then turn off. I start my phone again and have like 1-20% battery left (When i had like 80% before) The battery problem can also be caused by a random freeze where i have to remove the battery and put it back in, aswell here as i wrote before my battery drops to 1-20%.
Is my battery or phone broken? Warranty went out for like 1month ago...
How should i post link of battery history when im under 10 posts?
I'm sorry for the bad english but hopefully you can understand it
Also im happy for answers!

Hey I think i'm getting the same thing, where i'll restart my phone and i will loose heaps (yesterday I lost 30%!)
i'm not using the standard kernal though, stats are here:

in your own case:
1. Download Siyah 3.5.2 or 4.x.x
2. Flash Siyah kernel
3. Download Extweaks from play store
4. Run Extweaks.
- Under Misc, Reset Fuel-gauge chip
- Allow your battery to discharge to less than 10%

During charging my became too hot. Even whenver I'm talking phone getting hot. Whats the problem? Do I need to replace the battery or something else or somebody hacked my phone?

when phone becomes too hot, battery reading can never be accurate.
In your own case, off your phone, and charge it to 100%
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
I'll try to recharge my phone as switched off and let you know the results. Thanks for the reply.
I tried to recharge when the phone was switched off, 100% charged, but after that battery power ran out quickly. Do I need to replace the battery? Still phone is getting too hot during call and battery charging. I switched off Wifi, 3G etc. But problem is persists.
Since my phone has gone MUCH worse i will buy a new battery tomorrow and hope for it to be that.
Cant really use my phone atm, going down like 30-40 times a day (I'm not kidding) also my network etc has stopped working sometimes but i hope thats cuz the battery cant supply the phone the power needed.
I tell ya guys if its going better after new battery!
Now the phone finally works after replacing the battery!

Plzz help me to fix my battery life..I cant do nothing cuz my battery go low very quickly...

I've had some success saving my battery by disabling Fast dormacy - Call *#9900# and disable.
I have found the battery life on ICS so far amazing
Use CPU spy from market. Take a look, for deep sleep doesn't work and also my phone was at 1200 mhz all the when was awake. Flashed siyah ics kernel and then it was fine.

Ya and also it depends an kernal, am using Siyah kernal....its gvng gud battery life and smoothness, and much faster.
Om nom nom, battery *burp* But at least it's running on 200MHz and not 1200
Guess I might have to take another look at Siyah, and hope 3 is more stable than 2 was, kept having freezes with that one
After updating from official 2.3.6 XILA3 to 4.0.3 LP3 I expect a huge drop from <30 to about 10 then the phone die completly.
Attached battery graph.
This is the genuine 2000mah battery, and with GB 2.3.6 duration is about 3 days with GPS-3G.
i have migrated to ICS resurrection 1.1 from checkrom and find the battery life is better even though there is more stuff running in memory and more widgets.

Battery problem after updating I9100XXLPQ (ICS)
After updating to ICS try to switch on data connection, now try to switch on wifi.. it tries for some time and after 10 mins or so.. battery is completely drained out.
Is anyone facing the same problem ???
I haven't had the same experience as you but i have been very happy with Ressurection Remix 1.1. With the standard kernel it comes with.
I get around 1.5 days from a charge..... try it out.
Many talk about the Siyah kernel being good too, it has more options for battery saving/ performance.
Hope you figure it out

So, yesterday when I plugged my device for charging it all went great, but as soon as someone called me and i put the phone near my ear I noticed that the phone was way too warm. I checked the battery temp and it was as high as 48-50 degrees, which I didn't find normal. When I unplugg the phone it goes to normal in a matter of minutes (30-31 degrees). What could be the problem?

No problem, this is normal with the galaxy s2 & a lot of other phones also!!
find out wat is running consuming cpu,use betterbatterystats turn off aoto sync, and any live widgets, flash diff kernels an see which gives u good results...
i got worse. i charge my phone when still playing game. it shows 56 cel
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Same here, this is so okay
56 Celsius is not normal. That's the battery temp, not the CPU temp, 56°C CPU temp wouldn't be a major issue I don't think; someone who actually knows (as opposed to someone who's guessing) feel free to correct me tho. SGS2 doesn't have CPU temp sensor.
If you constantly hit your battery with temps like that, you'll reduce its life.
Doing anything CPU intensive while the phone is on charge will obviously cause temp spikes & should probably be avoided.
The problem is that while playing games the cpu is getting quite hot too. It gets to a point in which you can stil hold it but it feels quite strange as it shouldnt get that warm. The specs are in 1sr post.
hi guys!
i have a problem! lol =p
my battery is crazy, or my phone is crazy and is draining all my battery
it starded some days ago ... i'm using the Internet Browser and (sometimes) it starts to get really hot on the superior part of the phone ... and my battery starts to drain really fast... if i reboot sometimes it gets back to normal, but there are times that the battery goes crazy and happens like the picture below... after that i turned the "battery save" mode of the phone, and the battery percentage increased by 1% even without charging ...
It started to happen even before i updated to ICS, and still happens with the ICS ... any tips??
Use set cpu and check on which frequencies the phone is running
And use BadAssBattery monitor app to see which app is sucking your battery
The huge battery drop is normal and happens on our phone as fuel gauge goes crazy

Try the following:
1. Wipe cache partition (and Dalvik cache) in recovery mode.
2. If that does not help, do a factory reset.
3. If that does not help, flash another ICS ROM. I made good experiences with XWLPD.
4. If that does not help either, examine with BetterBatteryStats (BBS) app what apps are preventing your phone from going into deep sleep.
Partial wakelocks is what you should look at.
Good luck !
I have the same issue with my phone. I tried factory reset and cache reset but my S2 is still running hot and drains battery in 4 hours after charging
I installed go power master and battery are being drained by the following apps
Bluetooth Test
Android System
Google Backup Transport
Keyboard.
I'm running ICS via Samsung Kies.
I9100DXLP7
Kernel 3.0.15
Build IML74K.DXLP7

I have recently flashed 4.1.2 Stock UK non brand and battery Life is horrendous, can you please share with me your mod? These are my details:
Like today, phone on at about 07.00am, now is 10.29 and im down at 35% which is ridiculous with Screen on 1h 29m > 74% as the biggest hog..."always scan for open wifi" was on and i recently disabled it..also, i keep wifi on all the time when i am at work. signal is 100% so shouldnt consume much??
recently tried to disable auto brightness, removed bloatware and few other things...is it the modem sucking too much or what??

Hi,
I'm a new poster @ xda but have been a fan for quite a while.. not really the forum type so I haven't posted.
I have a question about replacing the battery in an i9100 (coming from the stock battery to a Replacement 3.7V 3500mAh Battery bought off of dx.com (sku: 73784).
For a while now, I have been unable to calibrate my battery correctly.. or maybe it's just my battery itself that's been giving me less than 4 hours idle.
I would like to know if there are any steps I should take before inserting the new battery... if anyone else has done this before and is reading this post I'd be very grateful for some advice.
I don't want to screw up the battery stats and the new battery itself.
Currently running:
Android version: 4.2.1
Baseband version: I9100XXLQ6
Kernel version: 3.0.15-CM-g53f5eb1
[email protected] #1
CM version: 10.1-20121223-NIGHTLY-i9100
Thanks!
U cant calibrate the battery by just deleting the battery stats.. just leave it for a week or 2. Then it should calibrate on its own. I m using andriod phones from 2 years i never tried to calibrate the battery i just ignore that. For me sometimes the battery percentage suddenly moves up by 1 or 2% if kept idle then starts decreasing, dunno why till today damn sure its not fake charging. U can try deleting the battery stats and rebooting to make sure it s writing the new battery stats. But it never works.

Yes after few charging discharging cycles... Its will calibrate automatically.

hey man i was also thinking of switching to similar kinda battery like yours. But i dont think it is 3500ma. So could you post how long the battery last after using it for few days??
If you're on ICS or JB, you don't have calibrate your battery because every time you charge the battery to 100% all your data and stats are deleted and the service begins to collect info again. You read all about it here and here.
Battery calibration is a myth and nothing more for ICS/JB users.

Sure thing. I've been running the battery for 24 hours and I'm at 80% left. Medium usage.
Well this is nice. The extended battery gives me almost three days of usage. And this is the cheap 3500mah from DX. I just hope it doesn't blow up

Hey guys,

Kernel is:
3.0.32-CM-ge9cef6
blinky-ghost'cyanogenmod #1
SMP PREEMPT Tue Aug 28 15:18:36 PDT 2012
I didn't have trouble for months but recently it is draining the battery a lot. I could get away with 2 days, now I have to plug it in during the day.
I now made a factory reset the other day and installed Cyanogenmod new, but it still drains like hell.
I saw that there are issues with the deep sleep and hence installed some bluesleep.zip and using CPUspy is can see now that the phone goes into deep sleep like it should.
Yet I can see in GSam battery monitor that "Phone Radio" uses 25% and "app usage" uses 65% of my battery. 30% of app usage is by "Kernel (Android OS)".
Is this normal?
What can I do to get my battery life back?
Thanks for your help.
