I just installed Revolt and noticed JB no longer had the memo app.
I tried doing a Titanium restore but it didn't work (hung).
I found a thread with a port of Memo to CM7 but it wouldn't install.
I'm fine using an alternative if someone can help me restore my old memos. Any advice?

Well, that did install it (I see the icon now - thanks). Unfortunately, the app closes immediately after opening. I also tried using Titanium to restore *just* the data portion for Memo (in case it needed it to work), but that didn't do anything.
Worst case, if I can't get it working... is there a way to look at the data I have saved in Titanium to retrieve my old memos? Assuming they're saved in plain text/viewable with a hex editor?
Memos ae stored in .db file, but recovering it may be impossible.
And if you want working Memo app, here you go:

The only way is to flash a stock based Rom, restore memo.apk data, transfer your memo to another app, backup your memo with that app, or use titanium, then flash back your present ROM, and restore your third-party memo app.

hey can you tell me how you make it working with old memos ??
i have cm9 with siya 4 version and i have installed memo app...
and i have my old memos data backuped through titanium..
how to restore the old memos and make it working ??
I used titanium to restore "data only" back for memo app. Copied the above apk (few messages above) to my system/app dir, change permissions to rw-r-r and make sure there are no memo.tmp or memo.opex files. Reboot, and you should see your old memos

Restore Memo 1.0 using "signedMemo.apk"
I flashed my phone to CM 10.1 Pro a few days ago. I successfully restore all my memo installing "signedMemo.apk". Then use Titanium Backup to restore "data" only. Everything is there. What a relief. It took me days to Google it.
Many thanks atarifreak for posting the solution at Android Hilfe (Memo to restore 1.0 cyanogenmod 10)
I hope this will help many of you out there.

Hello,
I just found this app on Play.
Clickyyyy
It packs your apps up into one flashable file named update.zip, and once you’ve flashed your ROM, you need only to flash the .zip, and all your apps are updated on the spot. It’s not only a good time-saver for those flashing on a regular basis, but it’s a more convenient, hassle-free solution to returning the apps to the state they were prior.
Has anyone tried it?
I have tried this on MSGinger 4.0
After flashing the update.zip it doesnt go past the bootanimation (resulting update.zip was about 700mb)

Actually, with Titanium Pro, you still have to click Install, then done, then install, then done, for every single app.
It gets awfully repetitive..
Sure, TBP backs up data too.. but that's about the only advantage I see over this now!
This application puts all your apps into a nice .zip file, which you can flash at the same time as the rom (assuming you are using TWRP (you can install up to 10 zips at once). )
You don't have to click install and done for each app. They all just get installed automatically!

I am thinking,
is it possible for us to backup apps by using this new tool,
and use Titanium to backup the data.
When flashing a new ROM,
just flash the backup zip and then restore data by Titanium,
sounds great for me.

Since I do not have a GSM model. I can suggest the following.
1) Make sure you put the file in right folder.
2)Make sure it is on your phone.
3)Try to reboot.

i reverted back to the original s voice (version 10) packaged with S3 roms.
it is working fine.
I have an idea but nothing conclusive.
I think the server is filtering to only allow s4's to be used with version 11.
I heard similar restrictions for siri where initially only the 4s were able to use it unless hacked to be used with other older gen devices.
Any thoughts?
Yeah it's not working anymore for me :/
Had anyone thought of editing the build prop and changing the model number? I'd reckon that would fix it.

Heres an article talking about it and how to fix it:

Sounds like we need to do some tweaking in the APK, unfortunately I do not have those skills. Maybe some dev will be interested in it and help us out, but I'm sure they have other things to do that are a little more important
Jelly Bean??
The link that you provided states that is good for 4.0 ICS. What about later versions, like 4.1.2, Jelly Bean? Does it work for that version also?

I got the network error in another s4 s-voice version, after I updated the rom. As I said in my previous post, the cwm flashable zip didn't work for me, installing only the apk did.
It's best that users on different roms try it out for themselves and see what works.

Thank you so much, it works by installing the apk file in the zip.
Does this work for anyone currently.
I installed the apk both in the system/apps folder and normally , and both times i get a no network connection.
have they done anything more to prevent anyone but s4 users?
No network connection for S-Voice for galaxy S3
I found out that by uninstalling the update that the apk has recentlly aquired it will fix the network issue since I could not uninstall the program it self. It is a sure fire fix.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

After a weird issue with the files, the owner name is switched...which doesnt matter...what does is if they still work. Please let me know if there is something wrong with the files, or likewise, please verify whoever downloads them if they work alright still. If there's any issue i'll have to try and figure something out, or reupload the entire restore build which takes several hours. Thanks Mega

No dude read the op.... you put them all in 1 folder then RESTORE.... read the op dude they're a custom backup of stock rooted mj5..... I specifically said DI NOT FLASH
The link is back live after a weird google drive glitch...anyway remember these are RESTORE files for safestrap
Stock Rooted Mj5 ...see the op for instructions on how to restore your Note 3 att N900a back to stock rooted...or just use them in a rom slot for testing mods, tweaks or other alterations before messing with a rom you have fully set up...I suggest using a rom slot to test the restore anyway if you plan on restoring to stock rom slot.
***Edit: as updated in the op...the files owner status has changed, which makes no difference but if they still work perfectly as they did prior to this does matter. Please let me know when you download the files whether I need to reupload the original restore build or if everythings in working order. Much appreciated.

Exactly..it's a stock rooted mj5 restore kit. You can use it In stock...but I'd highly recommend you try in a rom slot first to verify your download and everything's working. Then wipe and restore like any other backup. It shouldn't have issues as like 60 people have used it to restore their stock slot but I always play it safe myself.
